I am going to be in Hastings later on this month . My Grand Daughter is graduating from college there. Quite an accomplishment on her part since she is only 19.

Anyways can anyone shed some light on local golf courses in the area? Will be there for a few days as we load up her stuff for her move back home.

If my shoulder is well enough, I'd like to play a round. There's also the time thing too.  Not sure if I ever played golf in Nebraska before.

Wild Horse is about two hours away to the west in Gothenburg.  It comes in at around #70 on the latest Golf Digest Top 100 Public Courses in the US.

Awarii Dunes is about an hour away to the west just south of Kearney.  It's a Jim Engh design.

If you're coming from Omaha, there's a course called Quarry Oaks just southwest of Omaha off I80.

Full disclosure: I've never actually played any of these courses unfortunately but being from northwest Iowa these are the courses I most often hear about when discussing that area.  (Other than Sand Hills/Dismal River/Prairie Club)  Maybe some posters from Nebraska can give you more insight into the courses available in that area.
