I just picked up a Wii for my kids...OK and me. I have not set it up yet as we had issues with report cards this week. I had one last year and never opened it. I sold it on ebay a week before Christmas 2006 for $550. I decided to keep this one. Other than Wii Sports what are some good games. I am mostly a sports fan, but my kids like everything. They are 13 and 10.

The last three years my interest in viedo games has decreased steadily... I hadn't played my PS2 in probably 6 months and the only game I had played on my own console in the last two years was Tiger. My wife wanted a Wii for Christmas, and we finally found one last week. So far we just have the Sports Pack, the Wii Play Pack, Tiger 08, and Sim Island (which I haven't played, but she loves). I have been downloading a bunch of the old Nintendo, SNES, N64, and Sega games that I grew up with... maybe they'll even add Atari. I have downloaded about $50.00 worth of games, and it sure is easy to spend money. That being said, it is fun playing the old ones, but only for so long, so spend your money wisely.

Also, I too am/was a big sports gamer... when I did play my PS2 the only games I usually bought were Hockey, Golf, and Football. I did really like SOCOM and the whole online team shooter thing back in undergrad. It seems like the Wii isn't the best platform for the sports games. I have only played a few games of Tiger 08' and I'm still not sure I like the whole swing thing... and playing with the controller (nunchuck) is no better than the PS2 game... it looks like the PS3 and XBox360 got the best versions. Oh well, as I said I've lost interest for the most part so there's no way I'll ever buy a 360 or PS3 and I sold my PS2 when we got the Wii, so I'll just play with the wife's Wii for a few months and then it will probably get old and I'll go back to not really playing any video games... until I have kids at least.

Definatly get Tiger Woods 08. Also alot of other games are fun that involve sword fighting like Red Steel or something like that. Also, The Mario Party Games are really fun.

Mario Vs. Sonic Olympics is an amazing game that is funny and will make you sweat. Its great. I recommend it.

That will never get old. Trust me. (I couldn't resist the opportunity to take you out of context.) I bought my kids the Wii and they are inbetween your kids' ages. They like Guitar Hero 3, Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Party 8, Mario Baseball and NHL 06. I don't play it much other than a little Guitar Hero.

We have Guitar Hero 1,2 & 3 for PS2. I will likely get the new Tiger Woods game. I have all the previous ones for PS2. I'll let the kids check out what they may like.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
