  1. Whilst taking lengthy periods off from school to travel to tournaments all over America, I'd assume. He probably was missing from school more often than actually being at school.
  2. I'm quoting this post because it is the best post in this thread. It's well written, realistic, doesn't 'bash' anyone and is written by a youngster just like the OP.
  3. Bingo.
  4. Keep us updated on your progress
  5. I wouldn't wish listening to Taylor Swift on my worst enemy. To be frank, shorty just said what everybody was thinking. At the end of the day, you are a 26 handicap asking what is the best way to get on the tour. I would say even a journeyman tour player was easily shooting around 75-78 at 13 years old everytime they teed it up (unless they started at a later age like Nick Faldo at 15 - and even he got down to scratch golf after about 12 months). The top tour players were all scratch golfers at 13 (Tiger, McIlroy, etc). At my home club there is currently about twelve 13-14 year olds with a handicap in the 9-14 range, and I see none of them getting anywhere near the tour.
  6. Don't look down
  7. Signed up...now to figure out the damn thing. Someone bump this thread before the start of the season to remind me
  8. What makes you say that? I wasn't even the best 13 year at my club at the time, nevermind good enough to be a pro.
  9. When I was 13 I could shoot in the 30s for 9 holes, perhaps if I had posted a thread on here and got all this wonderful advice I would be The Masters champion by now
  10. As far as I know he can only get 7 exemptions onto the Euro Tour also
  11. I remember being 13 and optimistic too. Practise. A lot.
  12. “My goal is to be successful on the PGA European Tour, and I just feel the ISM team is well positioned to help me achieve my goals.” http://www.golfweek.com/news/2011/dec/19/uihlein-leaves-oklahoma-state-turns-pro/ Interesting move by the youngster...
  13. The greatest golfer ever has passed away...Kim Jong-il
  14. Oh so it wasn't a golfer that publicly stated it at all....it was a forum poster that posted it on a forum discussion. Hardly the same thing, Grumpy-ter?
  15. If Lee Westwood keeps his current December form going into the New Year it will be him again
  16. Ah but you see over this side of the pond, calling somebody something as silly as a plank is a form of endearment. Stop looking for something that isn't there.
  17. Ogilvy or Poulter winning would be nice, they both could do with a win.
  18. All I said was that I found it funny he went so far with the celebration, I said nothing about wanting him to be like a robot. Even Jeff Overton starting laughing at the celebration at the end of that clip.
  19. All I said was that it was the most over the top celebration I have ever seen in golf (which it is)
  20. Probably because those guys can win things
  21. That is the most over the top celebration I have ever seen and I can't help but laugh everytime I see it. What a plank
  22. If he manages to not win this tomorrow can we take them back out? Quote:
  23. Does anybody know if there's a record kept of the lowest consecutive rounds in relation to par? Lee Westwood doing 20 under got my thinking about it. I know Martin Kaymer once shot 23 under for the final 2 rounds of a EPD Tour (3rd tier tour in Europe) event back in 2006, he shot 59-62 on a par 72 course to win the event by 10 shots. Imagine being able to follow a 59 with a 10 under par 62
  24. He actually said the 64 felt better than the 60 since it was played in tougher conditions. 20 under par through 2 rounds, when's the last time that happened?
  25. He leads by a massive 11 shots after 2 rounds. "For sure the best I've ever played"
