Yes I did just that. I went to the range and I wasn't in a good place mentally. So I wasn't doing the things I needed to. Will be more Patrice in very soon.

Yeah he was telling me to keep the grip loose for the.lesson so he could see what I was doing. I was concentrating hard. Lol.

Didn't see a signature option on my profile page.

Crazy thing is. This was during the first lesson I ever received. I just listened and let him guide me. He gave me two quick things that just worked and the slice was gone.

All I have are Nike Clubs. I'm not sure how to edit my signature to list my clubs.

Completely understand. I plan on hitting the range very soon. I haven't hit all of my clubs at the range yet. I usually take my driver, an iron, putter and wedge. Mainly because I don't drive and I don't want to take my clubs on public transportation.

Thanks. I was wondering about that.

Also, I wasn't swinging hard in the video. It was more about getting the lesson down that he showed me. I find that if I swing to fast, I tend to lose control. But it's much improved over this one from last summer.

It's IN Rosemont, and yes. It's at the DOnald E. Stephens Center. Right off of River road across the street from Gobson's. The equipment is all over the place. They have EVERYTHING and I mean everything. All the clubs, balls, hats, shirts, bags, umbrellas etc. that you can handle. They are giving lessons there and they are FREE! Tomorrow is the last day, so I would get over there if I were you. In the section that they give the lessons, there is a whole row of companies letting people hit their demo clubs. It's fun and you can get everything you need there. They even have resorts giving away free rounds of golf. There's everything you can imagine there, including hot girls. It's a very fun event.

I see these adverts about hitting the ball longer. Basically everything is about hitting the ball longer and has been for years and with every new "advance" in technology, I'm stuck wondering: Why aren't people hitting 400+ yard off the tee or holing par 5's? But that isn't my question, just a tiny rant. My question is: What is the general average distance from irons? I know that a lot of thought goes into choosing which iron to hit when considering the distance to the hole. I have a 4-9 set with a hybrid and I'm wondering which hits the furthest to closest. I want to be able to choose the right club, so any help would be appreciated.

I've been Playing Golf for: 2 years My current handicap index or average score is: unknown My typical ball flight is: not sure, high? The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Slicing This is what I'm doing now. The slice is gone for the most part and I'm feeling better about my swing. This was shot during my lesson. Videos:

Went to this event the last two days. The first day I went and got a lesson for the first time. I figured someone could help since I couldn't figure out why I was slicing after all of this time. Well the PGA Pro I got, showed me two quick things after he watched me swing without the ball and with the ball. I'm left-handed and my ball would go left single time I hit it, save for the rare occasion that I hit it straight. He had me adjust my grip about 10 degrees to the left and not focus on where the ball goes, but to make sure I get up on my tip toe of my back foot. He told me when the grip felt goofy, that's when I was where I needed to be. I took his advice and it was like night and day. I was hitting the ball straight! It was a great feeling. He also told me to hold my pose through the swing and get used to how it feels. I'm just so happy to hit the ball correctly for me. My confidence went up and I finally felt like a golfer. Now it's time to hit the course because up until then, I avoided it because I didn't want to spray the ball everywhere or hit someone accidentally. Felt good to get some good instruction and see the results immediately.

I would like one 2XL

It's not a record. It's second place. Sam Sneed has the record.

Can't we all just agree that today was an awesome day for Golf? Tiger looked like his old self out there and even his bad shot s were great. But, Rickie Fowler? What the hell happened there? An 84? That is totally shocking for him. Rory McIlroy didn't make the cut and I'm really surprised at how he is falling off lately.

Thanks and will do.

For real. Yeah Shannon was the girl from Texas. She was very complimentary of her. How is she cocky, they are trying to win some huge prizes for a LOT of money. This is what competitiveness sounds like. She hasn't put anyone down and said how good some of the other ones are. I'm just sensing a tone that I'm not liking. She hasn't been anywhere near as bad as she's being made out to be.
-
Hi-5 man. She has done nothing to warrant this level of hate.
-
She doesn't act like she knows it all. She acknowledged other strong competitors and when did she say she was the best at everything?
-
I know what you mean. I've had some good hits where I didn't have my weight back and I can tell the difference by what you're saying. I will take a few more swings and record it face on and try to see what I get.
-
I think it's more that you're helping with the nerves for other players like myself. I'm not gaining confidence because you did bad, but because you had the strength to go out and do bad and tell us about it.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't even feel the weight staying back when I hit it. I was actually surprised by what I saw when I watched it back. I've been working on rotating my hips and getting my back heel off the ground, but none of that happened here. I took another video and it was the same thing. It's funny because when I practice, I don't do that. Thanks for the feedback. I have to pay more attention to the weight staying back thing. Could that be the reason my balls go left a lot?
