  1. I know Foley teaches a different swing for driver to hit on the upswing. I think its slightly more weight on the backfoot during swing (45/55), what do you think of this method and have you seen his teaching on this?
  2. Global Golf has a used set of Ping G5's 3-pw great condition for 299.99, stiff flex black dot. Your ISI's have a trade in value of 100.00 bucks, not to mention alot of times they have trade in bonus deals of like 30%. So you'd have a new set of irons for 200 or less with your trade in. Id look for a new set unless you really like the ISI's. Alot of pro's still use G5's but I havent seen people still using ISI's, lol not to mention you can find deals like this at alot of places, no just global golf. That was just me looking for 5 minutes
  3. im not sure if its fake or not. Towards the end it can make you think it is but I still dont know. Those RC cars that are fast like that one are atleast a couple hundred bucks tho
  4. not everyone does tho. trackman were comparing Tiger woods, slight negative angle of attack on driver, to (i cant remember who off the top of my head) who hits drives with a positive angle on tour. The positive angle guy hits drives 30-40 yards longer than tiger even though same Swing speed.
  5. it means hitting the ball from a positive angle of attack (on the upswing). Drivers of the ball who hit the ball on the upswing for driver tend to get more distance out of drives (by 20-40 yards) from the same swing speed as someone who hit the ball with negative angle of attack according to trackman data
  6. why all the poulter hating in this thread. I think hes a good golfer and is a super nice guy in interviews and a show I watched called "playing with the pros", super nice and helpful in the show to his playing partner
  7. so your saying there are people out there who dont use feeling of how they got to that position or what the position feels like? thats kind of against human nature isnt it, as in its pretty much the only way we can get to those positions without looking at our swing from the outside for every swing we make
  8. i prefer the looks, colors and the fabric of the pings over the sunmountain/titleist bags. With both bags you are going to have clubs stick on the bottom so dont even consider comments about people saying the clubs stick because both will.
  9. exactly, this is tied into smashfactor
  10. yea the transfer of energy into the ball is greater when you hit the ball from the inside as opposed to cutting across the ball with an out to in swing. make sense?
  11. heres some more from that site, taped the same time. weight http://www.pgatour.com/video/r/shows/inside_the_pga_tour/2011/02/22/feat_exclusive_foley_weightxfer_11inside08.pgatour/index.html tempo http://www.pgatour.com/video/r/shows/inside_the_pga_tour/2011/02/22/feat_exclusive_foley_tempo_11inside08.pgatour/index.html posture http://www.pgatour.com/video/r/shows/inside_the_pga_tour/2011/02/22/feat_exclusive_foley_posture_11inside08.pgatour/index.html
  12. can you explain why you want to do this as well. Im assuming to keep the plane throughout the swing but isnt it really going to restrict your legs and arms from generating power?
  13. i do see alot of centered shoulder turns on tour now.
  14. yea those are good points, but people hit clubs all the time in stores to try them out, nothing really uneithical about not buying it at the store if you hit them or talked with a salesperson at the store.
  15. yea thats true. Couples uses the taylormade woods and is sponsored by bridgestone, to be honest I think bridgestone woods are hard to hit. Taylormades woods are far more forgiving and better overall which is why alot of people use them on tour who are sponsored by mizuno, bridgestone etc.
  16. not really, ive seen business guys who never played before pick up brand new nice sets to start playing with business partners etc.
  17. this was on the green, In the full video it pans out and hes crouched on the green, granted hes not right next to the hole. http://yfrog.com/69x7gz
  18. yes they are paid to and get free clubs so why not upgrade. Im sure if the club sucked tho they wouldnt use it but I doubt its much better most of the time than what they used before. I think the pros like getting new equipment tho for the most part, I know I would. Look at mizuno as well, most of the guys sponsored by mizuno wont play their woods cause they dont care for them.
  19. yea, you dont have to buy them at the store, look for them online.
  20. yea, well you dont have to buy them at the store. Just talk with them and look and hit. Then find a place online to buy them. Theres nothing wrong with callaway but you should check em all out at the store.
  21. as a beginner golfer, I suggest you go to a local golf store that you trust. Nothing like Dicks sporting goods or anything but a reputable golf store and talk with them about club choices in person. As someone who is just starting to golf for the first time, I dont recommend just buying clubs offline.
  22. I dont think any of us know what Tiger is going to do, we havent had a guy this good go through this.
  23. I havent known anything about jim gray but I saw him interview tiger a couple months ago and it was awkward. heres an interview with a boxer though, haha (warning-curse word in the interview.
