  2. Just picked this up last night: FEG PA-63 9mm
  3. No mullets here, no reason to assume anything about me or my wife. My wife is a Staff Sergeant in the US Army. Probably didn't see that coming, did you? Thank you Erik.
  4. Just picked this up Saturday, Bersa 380 ACP The wife has a Cobra 380, we both have CWP, and carry daily. I also have an old Winchester 3030 lever action that my grandpa left me.
  5. Curious if there is any chance that you will make your to the Salt Lake City area this year? Perhaps after one of your Arizona trips you could make a stop by Utah? Just a thought.
  6. Played nine holes after work yesterday! Not too bad for not playing for over a year, shot a 40 from the tips (which were not that far back!) Greens were lightning fast from all of the snow pressing down on them.
  7. It looks like it might be a nice day today, and tomorrow, I just have to sneek out of work a little early and play a quick nine!
  8. I like Bubba, however Augusta is an exceptional mental challenge. I would love to see someone like him win it, it would be amazing.
  9. That sounds like a fun experience! Good luck and stick with it, it can only get better, right? lol
  10. I'll tell you who needs a haircut.... CHARLIE HOFFMAN!! His hair drives me nuts!
  11. Like others have said, I use different shots depending on the circumstances. Many times a bump and run is the way to go, if you have some green in front of you. If not you have to beable to hit the little flop type of shot. good to learn them all, practice, practice, practice!
  12. His shoulders are 90* to the target line which is a full swing, not 3/4 swing.
  13. I think everyone got confused with this concept. Erik was talking about spin only, not club interaction with the ball. If a left hits a draw it has the same spin as if a righty hits a fade. The same is true if a righty hits a draw and a lefty hits a fade. This was IMO purely hypothetical, as the swing is changed to produce a fade or a draw by one person. There is no way to accurately test the theory because the swing by nature is different.
  14. Beautiful swing, a perfect example.
  15. Welcome, I joined about a week ago, seems to be alot of people joining everyday.
  16. I used to do them a lot, the classes at my gym are not at a time that I can do them anymore. I enjoy having an instructor to push you, I find that I work much harder in these cases than I would on my own. They are a far more intense work out than riding on the road. You have lights and intersections on the road, not in the class, you go the whole time! I have heard that a 1 hour spin class is equal to 1 1/2 hour on the road.
  17. I don't like trying to change my swing at all. I have a natural draw, my mishits are a terrible duck! I usually only miss when I am trying to get cute with it, so I just don't fight my natural swing. The only way I can hit a fade is to open my stance to the target and swing along my normal path, I never try to change my swing.
  18. It is absolutley gorgeous outside today! I went to the range for lunch, but it is going to snow again tomorrow
  19. Staying centered is the key, and not as easy as it sounds. I try to think of keeping my head in the same place throughout the swing. Another thing is keeping my weight from being transfered to my right by feeling like it is on the inside of my right foot. Another thing I try to practice is quiet hands and arms, a one piece takeaway helps with this.
  20. The golf swing is an extremely personal thing! haha An accurate golf swing is a lifelong quest, when you have one, let me know! Will you be playing by yourself? If so the clubhouse will most likely stick you with a group, I wouldn't worry too much about holding up the group behind you. If you are too slow just let them play through!

    Age

I am 33 now. I started playing about 10 years ago, had to take some time off due to illness and then my clubs got stolen. So I haven't played for almost 2 years.
  22. I don't understand how that "article" went from being about Aaron's win to a bash on this swing method. Very strange to me, almost as if the writer has some type of bone to pick with S & T. Perhaps he has tried it and it did not work for him.
  23. I would think that if the face is closed (to the target line) it would be closer to square with the club path. If this is the case it would end up being a straighter ball flight, maybe even a straight pull.
  24. All you need is a guy in your group that works for a beer supplier and you got it made!!
