  1. Exactly. I never even had a driver until a year after I started playing golf. Use a legal driver.
  2. If you ask me I don't think you should learn the game with a larger driver even if you are a beginner. Get a decent 460cc driver and start from there.
  3. "Golf is played on the 5 inch course between your ears." - Bobby Jones "Drive for show, putt for dough"- unknown
  4. After every shot. I keep half of my towel wet most of the time so after every shot I just give my club a wipe and put it back in the bag. When its wet out it makes it even easier
  5. I've never tried them, but they sound decent so if you like them then keep on using them!
  6. Well since your already paying almost $20 my suggestion would be to buy some Titleist DT Solos... great ball soft feel and good distance with great feel around the green for a good price $20 per dozen.
  7. Shot a 41 on the front at my course. Not bad considering I couldn't hit my driver well until the 6th hole when I finally figured out I was standing to close to it and coming outside to inside and slicing it. Bogeyed 1 and 2 then parred 3 and 4. Parred 6, bogeyed 7 and 8, and finished with a par on 9 which was almost a birdie (the putt lipped out). So not a bad day considering the last time I swung a club before that was Monday.
  8. I went to this yesterday... was literally a few feet away from Vijay, Zach Johnson, Will Mackenzie, Fred Funk, David Toms, and a ton of other great players. It was quite a fun day.
  9. Same thing happened to me about a month ago. Take a rest for a week and your body will forget what you were doing wrong and you'll return to your natural swing. It worked for me.
  10. 78... 38 on the front 9 40 on the back Started off by getting rushed onto the first tee by the starter to play with 2 other people. First two holes ok bogey on 1 and 2 shouldve parred 2. Par on 3,4,5. On 6 I hit a monster drive over the first huge hill... a 5 wood to just short of the green and an eagle chip that just missed... 1 inch tap in birdie parred 7 and bogeyed 8,9. Back 9 not as good 5 pars and 3 of them were saves. Overall this was the best round of my life... I am really getting some condidence with all my clubs now and a lot with my driver since I almost drove a long par 4 in one.
  11. Yeah, I hit an easy 8 150 and a full 9 close to it, and on a good drive which is about 4/5 times I carry the ball about 275 and I use stiff which is perfect.
  12. It doesn't matter that they won this year. Ernie's swing could still be better. Everyone on the PGA tour has nearly a perfect swing. That's why their on the PGA tour. 150 guys out of all the golfer in the world. Those that win just place the ball. Winning on the PGA is all about placing it. Even Tiger says so. Someone could have a better swing, but if he doesnt place the ball good and makes bad decisions he can still lose easily.
  13. Maybe since theyre being altered they are taking a long time. When you buy them stock they come right away, but when they need to be changed it takes a while.
  14. NXT is the softer of the two balls. NXT Tour is harder. It's like prov1 and prov1x.
  15. Exactly... if you shoot a 85 one your course from the white tees (closer) then you shoot another 85 from the black tees (further) your handicap will be lower for the second score from the black tees because the slope rating is higher
  16. Good point I think I'm gonna get the 10.5.
  17. Plus iacas some people don't all have the privelage of being able to go to a pro at a country club to get fitted. I am only 15 and play at a local public course and all the pros are really rude.
  18. I think your right I think I'm going to go with the 10.5 because I have a 10 now thats the reason why I was unsure if I should go 9.5 or 10.5 and I will get the aldila nv-65 because it is light and the Burner shaft is only 50 grams... light= speed= distance and I won't have to overswing for good speed.
  19. I've already tried this club just wondering what you think on a couple of the specs.
  20. Ok so I'm buying a new driver... Titleist 905r from 2006 it is only $200 now. I'm buying it from TGW.com and I was wondering if I should 9.5 degrees or 10.5 degrees... right now I have a 10 degree driver and I hit it pretty high. Also, I was wondering if I should get the Titleist Speeder by Fujikura or the NV 65 by Aldila. I have a swing speed of about 110 mph and I hit the ball pretty far. What do you think?
  21. I think I know your problem... like you said when you decelerate... you hit fat shots. You are decelerating because on approach shots you want to hit less club so you slow your swing as you swing through the ball. Instead what you want to do for less distance is only take half a swing and swing normal speed and accelerate through.
  22. Ok so lately I've been playing pretty well shot a 40 on friday and was hitting everything great then I go to play on Saturday... and I can't hit for beans!!!!!! I seem to be hitting everything off the heel of my club. I've been almost skull hooking and I cannot hit a solid shot with my irons which is very unusual for me. I can't figure out what is going on... I think it might be my glove because it is stretched and slides when I swing which I think is causing the face of the club to become not square. Most likely its not my glove though. Any suggestions? Anyone. Anything helps. Thanks ~Brian
  23. Me, my dad, Phil Mickelson and Tiger. (Me and Phil vs. my dad and Tiger ) I'm sure that would be a fun and interesting day.
  24. Wow what a hole... I bet that green takes a BEATING when its wet from high shots landing down on it. I bet a lot of balls get plugged in the green too. Better bring your ball mark fixers to that hole.
  25. Definetly Golf Pride all the way.
