  1. Iacas... this makes sense, but don't you think the people that are 10 yards away from it when it lands will freak out because at my course if someone hits remotely close to someone and doesn't call fore chances are they will bug out.
  2. Usually just try to see where the ball is going, and if I can't just put my hands over my head and hope for the best.
  3. Only once, but it was it was on an executive course so it was only about a 280 yard par 4. I got lucky because i faded it too much, and then it hit a hill left of the green, and rolled down to about 10 feet.
  4. 1. Tiger Woods (Duh!) 2. Phil (#2 baby! and lefty like me) 3. Garcia 4. Adam Scott 5. J.J Henry (He's from my hometown and I get my golf clubs from the same guy that makes clubs for him.)
  5. You need 3 posts and a reputation of 10.
  6. I usually go through a glove about every month or so. It depends on what kind of glove it is though. I usually go for the Footjoy Sciflex which seems to last a while, and isn't bulky while playing with it. Recently my friend gave me some kind of FootJoy glove that looked like a sciflex, but was actually something different and it lasted me a really long time although I'm just starting to rip holes in it.

    Blisters

That's nice those band aids are the best. I wish my club offered stuff like that, but they don't do anything like that. I'm starting to get a blister on my right thumb (I'm lefty it would be your left thumb) because thats where my glove wore through and and is rubbing against my thumb. I need a new glove, and I'm working on gripping it a little lighter.
  8. I'm with Dent... go for it.
  9. Oh nice, yeah the callaway forged irons are a little harsh I hear. The i10's seem nice, but set up a little weird. I just got a set of Mizuno MP-57's and they feel sooo nice you should demo them if you can you might like them.
  10. This is my take... I used to have a complete baseball grip, 10 fingers and my thumb did not go into my lower hand! Can you believe that. My uncle told me that If I really wanted to get better I needed to change my grip. So one day I started interlocking my thumb into my other hand and although it felt awkward I worked with it and realized I got more control. I then moved to the overlapping pinky grip and that summer was the first time I broke 80 shooting 78. Thanks uncle!!
  11. Dent how did your fitting appointment end up going?
  12. This is the key to effective chipping and how I have managed to keep chipping such a strong point of my game. The trick is to not take a slower swing on shorter chips but a shorter backswing. For example, if you want to make a little 10 yard chip... take the club barely back and accelerate as much as possible through the ball. Due to the short backswing you will have a short chip but will be solid and right on target because of the accelerating motion. For every 10 yards or so take another foot back in your backswing and ALWAYS accelerate through the ball. Hope this helps... if you need me to explain it more I will.
  13. Wish I could've played today, but It's thunderstorming here and I have to finish a project for school. Tomorrow brings a new light though
  14. Thanks everyone this is a big help, now I have information other than kids from my school and golfers from my home course.
  15. Hey I also just got fitted as well for MP-57's and let me tell you the difference is just WOW. I went to a demo day at a driving range right from the get go they gave me an mp-57 with an extra half inch shaft since im 6'2". I pured it every time! Then they put me on a lie board, and saw it was lying too flat so they bent it 2 degrees upward and I hit it even better! Also Dent to answer your question... I got fitted at a course a few towns away and I bought them at a club fitter in my town because he gave me a great deal.
  16. Only 16, but been playing since I was 8 so I think I have enough experience in this game to give my 2 cents here and there.
  17. I just wear whatever suits the weather that day. If its chilly... pants and under armour under a polo. If its warm out... shorts and probably some type of thin polo.
  18. I usually clean them after every shot unless I don't have time then I clean them right before I use them again.
  19. It might help you somewhat, but the confidence that it gives you will probably help you more than anything. Try demoing it and see if you like it. I want one too
  20. Just concentrate on making solid strokes and racking up pars. The birdies will come in time.
  21. Yeah well if it feels good then just work with it to build up confidence and you should be putting just as good if not better than with your old putter. Also, if you had your old putter for 23 years, it will take you a little while to get used to your new putter.
  22. Personally... I'm 16 and have been using a 9.5 degree for about 3 years now. If your swing isn't that powerful then all you need is a regular flex shaft, and 10.5 degrees is perfectly fine. That is a great distance for someone at the age of 14 with a slow swing speed. Stick with the 10.5 you will be happy.
  23. You may want a 51 degree since your SW is 56 degrees though. Or you could get a 50 degree GW and switch from 56 and 60 to 54 and 58 to make it more evenly spread out.
  24. Yeah usually a gap wedge is around 52 degrees depending on the loft of your pitching wedge. The Cobra FP iron's pitching wedge is 44.5 degrees so you might want a gap wedge right around 50.
  25. That was truly amazing! Yeah Phil! Who saw the awesome fan jump in the water when he sank the putt?
