Playing at Pumpkin Ridge in Portland. 3rd hole, par 3, hit my seven iron straight at it. Flew straight into the hole and bounced out. That's about as unlucky as you get.

Hey Guys, I have been golfing VERY sporadically since I was pretty young but have just taken up golf seriously this summer. I do not keep an official handicap at the moment but track my scores online and am somewhere in the 17-20 range. I play at least once a week and twice if I get the opportunity, also like to try and hit the range at least once a week. So I am usually doing something golf related at least 3 times a week. My most common miss (being left handed) is a slice/fade to the left, Really excited for the opporunity to maybe work with you guys!

I got to play Witch Hollow at Pumpkin Ridge which was pretty cool, its a beautiful course. It is where Tiger won the 1996 US Ametuer.

I was in the market for some new irons a couple years back when I was still in college. Even though I was young (probably 20 at this point), I went in dressed well, had the money to pay for new clubs, and worked at an upscale golf course (Pumpkin Ridge in Portland). I walked in there wanting to try out some clubs and they didn't even give me the time of day. I swung some clubs in the simulator but got no help at all along with the "are you done yet so we can get some real customers in here" treatment (not said in those exact words but I'm sure you guys get the idea). I walked out of the store with nothing that day. Just picked up a set of AP2's recently and it was not from them. I am out of school with a good job now and I will not be visiting them for new clubs in the future.

They definitely had no reason for leaving. They went into the clubhouse, bought whatever it was that they buoght, and then rode back out and hit their second shots as if nothing happend.

I would definitely be more willing to branch out to some more courses in my area. Some of them might be: Langdon Farms, Heron Lakes, Quail Valley, The Reserve, Redtail, Pumpkin Ridge (Ghost Creek), Wildwood. Thanks for looking into it.

The addition of tee times would be great. I only buy equipment so often, but I do pay for tee times frequently!

Was playing a really short par 4, about 295 plus it was downhill, hit a really high drive that ended up about 12 feet from the pin. The downhill drop plus the sky high drive resulted in the ball only traveling about a foot past where it hit, you would have thought I hit a nice 100 yd SW. Sunk the putt for eagle.

I was playing this last Friday and saw something I had never seen before. I was walking down the 4th fairway which is adjacent to the 5th fairway that goes in the opposite direction. As I walked off the teebox (which is near the clubhouse) I saw two ladies in cart drive behind me and head into the clubhouse, I thought nothing of it as I figured they had finished their round and were just driving in from an odd direction for whatever reason. Well a few minutes later my cousing who I was golfing with said to me "did you see what they just did?" I then realized that they had teed off on 5 and while their balls were sitting there had driven into the clubhouse to buy who knows what. They did this while there were 2 groups backed up on their tee. I could not believe it, I had never seen such a thing. I didn't say anything because we were the third group back, but I was pretty appalled by this kind of behavior.

I agree here. I ordered the 710 AP2's about a month ago, and, after looking over the pictures of the 712's I like the looks of the 710's much better.

I am in the same boat as you. Ordered the AP2's with DG S300 x-stiff shafts 3 and a half weeks ago or so and am anxiously awaiting their arrival (according to one of the guys that fit me, Titleist has these specific shafts on backorder for some reason which is why its taking so long, the wait is killing me) I also hit these against some Mizuno's when testing them and like both a lot but ended up going with the AP2's.
