  1. here ya go, i took them tonight, i can really feel a difference. the swings look alot more connected and I feel like i am staying on top of the shot alot better. let me know if you see a difference and whether its better or worse. -matt
  2. like the title says, just out of curiousity was wondering what kind of handicapps these guys are, i'm thinking they have to be atleast +3 or better. -matt
  3. i just finished reading this book and i think this book is a must read for all golfers. i really like the way he describes posture and setup myself, very athletic. -matt
  4. thanks guys, my brother and law came home from school this week(goes to methodists uni. in the pgm program) and i had him look at my swing after i played saturday(shot a 77) and he too said to keep the flex in my knee, he picked it up almost immediatly. so we were at the range and while i was hitting balls he used a club jammed behind my knee while i hit shots and felt weird but cant argue with results. i have never felt this good about my swing. We went out today in 38* temp i shot a 73 with 2 3 putts. So thanks guys for your help and i'll try to post videos this week to see how much of a difference it made. -matt btw - the 77 i shot saturday was my lowest round ever until today when i shot the 73. the hardest part was trying to control my excitement about how well i was playing cause lately i'll do real well and then fall apart as i get ahead of myself.
  5. well the shitty part is i dont feel myself doing it. i only see it on camera. i will try to work on swinging with my feet together. my right knee does lose some flex but doesnt lock like it used too. Right now i'm hitting the ball about mid-high with a draw. Something also, since i started doing this i cant for the life of me hit a fade, except with driver and wood. and thats just a tiny one, i cant even cut my 3 iron. its either straight or draw. i used to be able to work it both ways. i'm also having problems controlling my trajectory but these are all probally just inconsistency problems. just a side note, looking at my tempo do you guys think i can get away with x-100 shafts. i hit them in the s57 when i got my irons and loved the shaft, but i needed the forgiveness of my irons and didn't have the coin at the time to have ping install the shafts. thanks -matt
  6. i would worry more about fundementals than stregnth. i was watching the gc junior drive chip and putt and some kids were hitting drives about 260yds or better and that kid couldnt have weighed more 140lbs soaking wet. i am 6`1" and weigh around 210lbs and could never swing fast maybe around a 100 or so now i have been working on my swing and am around 115 feeling like i am swinging easier. swinging correctly is way more important than being strong atleast if you want to shoot low scores that is
  7. for some reason the other video never processed on youtube and i couldn't edit my original post. -matt
  8. alright last year i suffered from a reverse pivot and started shanking all the time. so i started taking lessons and he found i needed to work on my weight transfer. well now i believe i am over doing it. well atleast i think i am. i am actually playing well but when i video taped my swing the other day i noticed this lateral slide. when i saw my swing i was shocked at how awful it looked(i threw up in my mouth a little) because of how good it feels and how well i'm hitting the ball. i hit a draw ball flight with the 6 iron going 184 and the driver i dont know it flew in the woods, the field ends at 240yds. i got yardages using my golf buddy in a field adjacent to a golf course. let me know what you guys think about 1) is this move wrong 2) should i not worry about it cause i'm hitting it well, but might cause problems down the road 3) what drills are there to work on this thanks for any help or input. -matt
  9. just out of curiousity, why dont you just get a gps, they are easier to use and you dont need line of sight? is it an acurracy thing? -matt
  10. I bought my g10 14* 3wood with the intention of its sole purpose and a driver beings i didnt own a driver. My 2h in also a g10 and they both have prolaunch red in them. my driver i bought about 2 months ago is FTI LCG 9.5 with a matrix ozik xcon6. The shaft is the reason i bought the driver. It gives me an absolutely great ball flight. Now i feel i'm hitting my 3 wood and hybrid too low, but thats because of some changes i have made to my swing. Ok my question is what shafts are their that would compliment my driver shaft and give me a slightly higher ball flight. my driver SS is 107-110mph with a fast/smooth tempo. -matt
  11. thanks guys thats good info ill post a video of my swing later and you guys can tell me if i am doing it or not. whar are common misses for not hitting from a firm left side
  12. i've heard this saying before but dont understand exactly what they are talking about. what is this suppose to feel like and when are you supposed to feel it? -matt
  13. thanks, great info, yeah D2 sounds good to me, i think i' going to go ahead and make the change. -matt
  14. thanks, i couldn't find that -matt
  15. anyone by chance know the shaft weight of ping tour wedges? -matt
  16. just bought ping i10's and then i did some work on my swing and my pro says, and i agree with, that i should be playing soming heavier shafts, specifically dynamic gold s300's. my question is what will happen to my swingweight which currently at D0. thanks -matt
  17. put on an extra layer and go play, golfer's crack me up, this is an outdoor sport. i mean if a course is open than its playable. i played in a tropical storm earlier this year, drenching rain and about 40-50 mph wind. i play in anything. -matt
  18. i had a winn jumbo on 2 different putters and i dont think ill ever use a large grip again. they are great at taking wrists out but for me it killed my feel. distance control became a huge issue -matt
  19. keep your hands straight in front of your chest at all times during the swing, this way you maintain the V that your arms create and will allow you to swing much more consistently. your hands get so far behind its a wonder they catch up at all. do you feel like you have to swing hard to hit the ball well? this is why you are just playing catch up. -matt
  20. i am looking for something to do this winter indoor. something to keep my swing sharp. i am thinking about either like a weighted club or a swingsetter. i dont have room to swing a full club inside. unfortanately i think we are going to have a bad winter, i dont believe in almanac or anything but i saw a really fat squirrel yesterday when i was playing. and you know what they say about fat squirrels! anyway what do you guys use to stay sharp in the off season. -matt
  21. it's called rod-iron! just kidding, anyway can you post a video so we can see you tempo, ss is not the biggest factor in selecting stiffness, john daly plays with more flexible shafts the nick price. also its also hard to believe without seeing, if your ss is 145 then you should have shaft makers asking you to play their shafts. but if it is true then i dont care what shafts you have your shots will baloon because of crazy amount of spin. -matt
  22. ive played a couple of rounds with mine and love them. feel just as good as my s59's but with more forgiveness. -matt
  23. What have you guys experiences been, so far my list goes 1) jas anser 2) redwood anser 3) isoforce anser 2f let here what your guys favorites are -matt
  24. its hard for someone to diagnoe without video but dear god i wish i could hit the ball on the toe, i'm a chronic heeler. -matt
  25. i found a wierd stat that show Corey Pavin, 1rst in total putts per round, and Bob Tway, 1rst in putts per GIR, both use Titleist Bulls Eye putters. Is it something about these putters or what? I never really heard much about them before. They seem so simple maybe they just allow you to putt more relaxed maybe, i dont know. Can someone explain why these putters work so well. -matt
