  1. What are some good workouts/stretches to do before bed to workout golf muscles? No weights...
  2. Great post, a guy came in the pro shop demanding his money back for an R11 that he smashed the head off of. When we finished our round we found out that he took a 2" deep divot trying to hit it off the deck after he topped it off the tee box!
  3. Well, I typically play from 7100 to 7400 and in my opinion it is a ridiculous shot and the driver is simply not designed for it. I have imagination and can assure you that I hit my driver quite well, but the driver off the deck will never be nothing more than a novelty shot. You said yourself that you carry a 15 degree 3 wood, well anyone playing from 6100 to 6500 should be capable of hitting it low under trees... Look, I'm not saying I can't hit it, but to be honest it has never dawned on me to try. And as you said, if you hit a bad shot off the tee, what makes you think you are going to rip it off the deck with the same driver that you couldn't hit teed up... :-)
  4. I think sensor is right, so many people jump on here for a quick fix and then they are off until something else breaks down... I think it's like Facebook here, thousands of members and a handful that are actually active.
  5. I believe he says that because 90 percent of the golfers out there let the clubhead pass the hands at impact. If you pre-set or hinge on the backswing is personal preference, but keeping the hands ahead of the clubhead is critical, this is where the "hold" part is so crucial...
  6. Ok, I see what you are saying and it makes sense, there are actually people that press their hands forward before they start the backswing to pre-hinge the wrist. And from that point it is just back and thru but be sure to maintain the hold thru the downswing... I am a lefty and have been using this for awhile, the hinge and hold is the only shot I do inside 80 yards...
  7. He does not break the wrist at impact... Your post is very confusing. Of course he breaks the wrist on the backswing, he is hingeing on the backswing on holding the hinge on the downswing...
  8. If you need to hit a driver from the deck then you need to be playing from the up tees... They make strong 2's and 3's to hit off the deck.
  9. I thought it was a push-hook or shoestring hook. I'm left handed and my ball flight starts out left of my target line and hooks back in. Well, ok... I guess draws back in makes more sense. I really need to buy the book so I can understand the terminology...
  10. What are you talking about ?!?!?!? No such thing as a push draw... I think you are referring to a push-hook or shoestring hook.
  11. I think it is physically impossible not to slide, therefore intentionally trying to restrict slide is a recipe for disaster.
  12. Oh, here is one more thing that I'm working on. Actually going after the ball. I have been swinging too easy... I'm actually trying to swing 80-90 percent on every swing.
  13. It's all about how contact is made at the ball and consistency. I truly think people get too hung up on the inside to out swing path...
  14. Those clubs are just like all your other clubs, next time you swing your 4 iron pretend it is your 8 iron... Same swing for every club in your bag... I'll send you an invoice!
  15. Sorry guys, the shaft stays pointing at it... Hey, I brought this up in another thread regarding Olin Browne and watching The Greenbrier Classic I've noticed a lot of players doing practice swings where they really aggsagerate the outside/in swing path...
  16. I like using a small round wooden stick about 6' long. Lay it on the ground about 1' behind the ball and follow your club path down the stick on the back swing...
  17. Cone on swing experts, draw some red lines and show me how bad my swing still is! :-) I'm pretty sure I probably still not getting my lead shoulder down enough on the back swing...
  18. Has anyone noticed his practice swings before every shot. Why does he come WAY over the top on his practice swings?
  19. Professional Golfer and Golf Professional... One plays and one teaches...
  20. Oh, so it's safe to assume that you are talking out of your ass! I quit reading this useless thread after I saw that you got your thread starting information from what you read on another forum... Too Funny.
  21. Swing your driver and long irons just like you do your 7-PW... Concentrate on taking half swings.
  22. Ok, here is some updated videos of my swing and what I have been working on: 1. Weight Forward 2. More Level Shoulders 3. Maintaining Spine Angle Through Impact 4. Trying to Hold Flying Wedge I know I still have a long way to go but I have managed a 75/77/75 my last three rounds I have only missed 1 fairway off the tee in my last 3 rounds, but I am only averging 240-250 off the tee, I am focusing on half swings and holding my flying wedge with the driver. Great Ball flight with lots of roll. Sounds weird but I actually feel as if I am hitting down on the ball with my driver. Driver: 7 Iron:
  23. Ok, notice the ball once it hits the green. He may have a more shallow swing but he still hits down on the ball, hence the enormous amount of backspin. He is still taking a divot, just a shallower divot.
  24. I hit fairway bunker shots exactly how I hit fairway shots, I don't change anything...
  25. I need to get my lead shoulder to follow the same path on the downswing. This is by the way the best looking swing in golf.
