  1. Best thing to do in my opinion would have been to voice your frustation that you had specifically asked for it to be done a certain way that would have prevented it from happening. Then extend a little grace towards them and take the club that was offered to you as a loaner. It's only two weeks. I seriously doubt you are making a living playing golf. Two weeks really isn't a huge deal. Also, the $50 difference in the club becomes larger when you think about that they can no longer sell the club as new.
  2. I played them for a good while and enjoyed them. I swapped over to Cleveland and prefer the Cleveland's. But definitely nothing wrong with the Callaways.
  3. I went up to Golf Galaxy over the weekend and took a look at their new Speedline driver. It's $369 and you get a $100 gift card with the purchase. I need to replace the shaft in my FT-9 and don't really feel like sending it to Callaway. Anyways, it looked to be a very nice driver just wasn't for me. Ended up leaving with a Titleist driver. Not sure if I am going to keep it though. LOL
  4. I play the Nike One Platinums and love them. They dropped the price a little while back which is nice as well. I don't have as much swing speed as you but I do have decent swing speed. The ball gets great spin and feels good around the green imo.
  5. Just got back from a lesson. It was too much draw. LOL He called it a rope hook. Got it fixed though. Hitting my irons extremely well. Only problem now is I can't seem to duplicate that swing with my driver. Something about that club that makes me go from the outside/in even when I feel like I am doing the opposite. Very frustrating.
  6. Sounds good, thanks. I think part of the problem is I am used to standing straight on toward my target. I guess I just need to start aiming a little left and keep on practicing.
  7. Like the title says, how much draw is too much? I normally play a straight shot and hit the ball very squarely. The last couple of times at the range I have been focusing on hitting from the inside out. I have a tendency to pull the ball with my driver or a severe slice, my irons I hit very well. I am getting a draw on 99% of the shots I hit like this. I am just not sure on how much draw the ball should have. I am definitely not hooking the ball. I had that problem a few months ago. I seem to be getting about 10-20 yards of draw.
  8. I'd jump all over that deal. I love my Cleveland wedges. From everything I have read they are the most comparable to the Vokeys. I have hit the vokeys but never actually played a round with them.
  9. I've got a Cleveland CG12 *48 and then Cleveland CG14s in *52, *56 and *60. I absolutely love them. They get great spin on the ball and feel great imo.
  10. I just recently picked up golf. I played for about 3 months and separated 2 ribs. I had to take around 4 months off. When I started playing again I had a terrible slice. I went to get a lesson about a week ago. He changed my grip and now everything is going straight. My problem is I have 3 blisters from the new grip. One on my left thumb. I have replaced my glove and this one is going away. My other two are my left for finger and my right ring finger. They seem to be rubbing too much and wearing blisters on each other from when they are interlocked. Is there something I am doing wrong? Or does it just take some time to get used to it? Thanks in advance for the help.
  11. I have a pair of footjoy and a new pair of Addidas that I got on sale for around $49. I prefer the Addidas. They are much more snug and more comfortable imo.
  12. I just got done doing a launch monitor. I was playing Friday and my friend said that it looked like I was about to break my driver. So I went to see if I needed a new shaft. Apparently I do. My swing speed was 105mph and I have a regular flex shaft. Anyways, I find out that my swing path is outside to inside. What are some good drills or practice tips to correct this? Thanks for the help.

    Michael Vick

It's pretty much over for him. One of the other guys being charged has now plead guilty and agreed to cooperate with the government for a lesser sentence. Also, when the Feds prosecute they have a 95% success rate.
  14. I have some Maui Jim's Sport glasses. I absolutely love them. This is my 2nd pair and I wouldn't get anything else. I almost got a pair of the new Revo's but I really liked the weight or lack of weight with the Maui Jim's. They are also very good about getting the sun from the sides.
  15. Well, I am a high, very high handicapper and I use my driver. I've only played 5 times but, I can really get a hold of the ball with my driver and I am straight for the most part. My short game is what is killing me. Just my .02
  16. I normally play from the blues (the 2nd furthest back). This is mainly because of the people I normally play with are much better than I am. I played from the whites yesterday and was nervous about using my driver and quite a few holes. Is there anything wrong with learning on the blues? I have a fairly long drive that is for the most part straight. Short game is what is killing me.
  17. I had something similar happen to me too. I have a HS9 that I was fitted for with regular flex shaft. Yesterday at the course the guy I was playing with said that the club was flexing far too much. I haven't gone back to see if my speed has gone up but that is the only thing I can think of that would make it do that. I seem to be pushing the ball to the right or left.
