Albatross. If you get a hole in one it could be from a 100-150 yard par 3 hole which is just a nice little wedge shot or short iron but holing out from around 200-250 with a wood or 2, 3 or 4 iron is incredibly difficult, not to mention that you are not using a tee.

To be honest Pelz seems incredibly boring to me. I do not care at all if his stupid robotic pendulum machine can hit a put straight i want to hole out more putts. Id prefer to actually watch what the pros do instead of watch his advert-fillers on the golf channel.

if I play at my home course, it is normally 2-5 as the greens do not hold the ball too well and it is incredibly hard. Each fairway is also lined with trees and the course is the hilliest I have ever seen. If I play at my other golf course, I go round losing 0-2 normally as normally I go for risky shots. Even though I class myself as a 28 handicapper I am sure that I am around 24-25 but I do not have an offical handicap.

Is anyone watching the Volvo Masters? Due to the fact that there aren't many golf events around at this time of year it seems quite enjoyable to watch. What made it better is that englisman Justin Rose scored an ace on the par 3 third .

King Cobra F Speed LD 10.5 degree with a regular flex shaft...and i love it :). I used to slice before the cobra. This then turned into a fade when i got the cobra and since I have changed my swing slightly, I play a slight draw with boring ball flight :)

Some people may not agree with me but i hate the fact that people wear jeans on golf courses. Golf should not be played in denim clothes and sports clothes. If the golf course wants to be respected there should be a dress code. If there is a dress code, no casual people that do not care about the game play at the course. If people also wear the correct clothes, it also shows that the people are making an effort to play the game as it should be played. Just think if jeans were played on tour

I think that the nike golf balls are ok. The nike one platinum is cheaper than the pro v1 so many people play that one as it spins well around the green (i think). Tiger woods uses the nike one platinum.

Yeah I understand what you are saying but when i was using my driver I had major slice issues...not just a fade a major slice about 150 yards so I used a hybrid to tee off. I used my friends cobra with the same swing and hit it 250 straight...so I dunno.

Ok cheers...I have not really tested drivers since I started playing properly. I used my friends cobra though and hit it so well that's what I am looking for.

I will give it a shot...if I do a bad swing I will probably blame it on an injury lol

I am thinking of going to a launch monitor to test some drivers. I am quite nervous of going on one though as my driver swing has become really inconsistant and I feel that I may embarrass myself. the guy might be like: come back when you can hit a ball properly!! lol! What should I do?

What is the most effective method of cleaning golf balls? Also, do scuff marks on golf balls affect performance? Thanks

ok thanks guys, I thought that the prov1x meant more spin so i was hesitant to put it in play. I did find thought that when using the hx tour, if i hit a bad shot, sometimes when one would slice into the trees the hx tour would end up 1st cut to the right of the fairway.

Well you could lower the cost of membership for junior members to under 100 pounds. Also maybe you could make membership cheaper for people 18-24 as people in their early 20s cannot usually afford to pay for full adult membership. You could also host tournaments and opening a restaurant or hall to host wedding parties etc... There are many options.
