  1. closing the face at address isn't going to help you hit a draw its going to help you hit straight and pull draws which don't help anyone. Your face needs to be open to the target to start it right and closed to path to make it draw.
  2. Alot of really good things in that swing. Your tempo is very nice. You have the handle way forward at setup and then forward press it even more forward which delofts the club a good bit at impact. Seems that could cause some issues with short pitches and sand shots.
  3. I would just play around with a few things on the range and find out what works for you. Closing your shoulders a bit could help also trying to feel that the club is overtaking more with the driver can also help.
  4. That guy is as insane as his sweater. Face comes in open 7 degrees..... Amazing people out there teach these kinds of things and whats even worse is people pay and believe him.
  5. Same for me as long as it's not on my shoulders.
  6. I hit my 170 yard club usually about 169-171 so I have alot of work to do to close the gap...
  7. I actually find a cut shot for me is more controllable witht he driver but, ever other club including 3 wood I hit a push draw.
  8. Never had a baseball grip but, started interlocking and switched to overlap. It took about a week or two for me to change now when I go back it feels like the club is going to fly out of my hands.
  9. Hard to tell without seeing your swing. Could be just a bowed wrist at the top.
  10. Here is just one source. http://www.golf.com/golf/gallery/article/0,28242,1697381-14,00.html It has been shown many times with trackman. Then again if it makes you feel better that I just make up things on the fly then I once threw a football over a mountain too and its on google look it up.
  11. Great advice there. It's all about getting up and down and saving pars. I was down to +.5 but, had back surgery last year and starting to slowly creep back down. My ball striking is better than it has ever been but, my sand saves, up and downs, and putts are worse than ever. I found that out by keeping track like the previous poster said.
  12. You could always try phil's hinge and hold technique.
  13. without seeing your swing I would assume its because there are some flaws and timing is your key to playing good golf. On the range you find a good tempo and it works but, going out and playing it can vary and its not like you can hit 5 drivers in a row to find it back. I think the best thing you could do is take some golf lessons and really work on your game. Find someone who uses video so you can actually see what you are doing will also help alot. If your ball flight is starting straight and slicing your path is out to in and you probably depend on your hands alot to hit the ball relativley straight. So if I was you I would be looking for a good pro in my area to start a lesson plan to develop a less timing dependent swing. Also its the indian not the arrow clubs don't make a huge difference until you get to a higher level of play. Good luck!
  14. Hitting up on the driver goes farther and has been proven many times. Think this is why they are changing that.
  15. http://www.foresightsports.com/ One of the best for the price.
  16. I would be interested in seeing a face on swing. You have something weird through the ball where you chicken wing it pretty good it looks like from dtl. Something going on there cause your follow through looks painful
  17. Works for me. I was a 18 handicap before I figured out how to use the foot wedge and the old throw the ball out of the bunker shot. Seriously though the secret to GIRs is Iron play. Learn how to hit your irons especially the scoring clubs and your game can only get better.
  18. Dunno how its odd. I just registered here cause I was recently disabled for 60 days on another golf forum for joking on someone rickie folwer avatar. But, lets try to figure out if we were the same people what could we accomplished making a post about a closed club face? I got it there is a new revolutionary swing out there called closed club face golf. Go to the site and buy the DVD NOW!!!!
  19. You just answered your own question. Strong grip is giong to cause a closed club face. With that said there are many great players who played with a shut face or do play with a shut face.
