8-2. Indicating Line of Play a. Other Than on Putting Green Except on the putting green, a player may have the line of play indicated to him by anyone, but no one may be positioned by the player on or close to the line or an extension of the line beyond the hole while the stroke is being made. Any mark placed by the player or with his knowledge to indicate the line must be removed before the stroke is made. Exception: Flagstick attended or held up - see Rule 17-1. b. On the Putting Green When the player's ball is on the putting green, the player, his partner or either of their caddies may, before but not during the stroke, point out a line for putting, but in so doing the putting green must not be touched. A mark must not be placed anywhere to indicate a line for putting. I believe this would suggest that as long as you use the 5ft long ruler behind the ball and not on the line of the putt, you can use it as long as its removed before the putt is hit. Maybe a person more knowledgeable to the rules can jump in here. -

Has absolutely nothing to do with reading greens. It is simply an alignment aid. With that being said, I am an extremely linear person, and I like it. Have had mine since the original CC meeting/release. Iacas, If you want one and are not a club cameron member, the next time they are available (probably next release) I will buy one and you can paypal me. Let me know if your interested. Matt -
I played both courses at Bear Creek when I was there last time. Both nice, Easet course is better though. Think I only paid $35 a round for them.

When do manufacturers bring out new equipment?
mhays26 replied to Fraser's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I think Titleist is coming in the next 3-4 weeks. At least I heard from my pro that is true about the new drivers and I am almost certain about the new fastback and squareback Scotty Camerons. EDIT for new info. Looks like mid to end of Oct early Nov on the drivers is what he just told me. The Cameron stuff is still very real though. -
Cutting A Scotty 35" to 34"
mhays26 replied to FlopShotArtist's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I bought a Scotty that had been cut from 35" to 33" and it is so light I cant hardly play with it. I gave it to my wife. I know for a fact if you cut 2" off of it, you have basically nothing more than a gift for the special someone in your life, or a wall hanger. -
www.blackoxideservices.com They also do refurb work. I just sent one of my TEI3s back to them for refinish, it is going to be a gamer, so I did not go with the custom shop. Mine was 45 bucks for a refinish, including fixing any dents, scratches, new paintfill, polish the insert, and in my case, I wanted to add a sight line. All the pics I have show they do great work.

Also trying to get to singles. Started at 12.8 this year. I have been stuck where I am for a month or so and am really having a hard time getting it to go down any more. Congrats!!

Master Scotty Cameron Putters: Worth It or Not? Thread
mhays26 replied to JEWMAH9701's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I dont just understand why it cant be what it is. If you want to pay the money for a cameron then do it, its probably not going to dramatically better your putting, but if it makes you feel better and you have the money do it, and who cares about everything else. I am a putter ho, I have several different styles and brands. I have a Yes Tiffany that I have a hard time putting the ball into the ocean with, 2 camerons, the TEI3 is a great, soft putter, and it looks good, the circa 62 I got a good deal on, an odyssey white hot 2 ball, and a t.p. mills. I play the TEI3 every day, but whenever it gets me in trouble, I always put it in the closet for timeout and go with the old 2 ball. Its always responsive, and makes good putts until I feel better about the other. Moral of the story, buy what you want and **** em Just a side note, some of the early 80s Ray Cooks were designed and inspired by scotty cameron. If I could find one, Id buy it. -
Its almost un-American to play a game where you are out after 2 strikes.

I actually did not like these. They felt good off the driver, but around the green is where I really decided they were not for me. I have a go to shot when I am chipping where the ball will come out low and crisp, take one hop and stop on the dime. I couldnt get this ball to do that for anything, for several holes I tried this shot, and it just wouldnt bite. I also thought the cover felt strange. As I was putting on the practice green with the new balls, I would reach with the putter and try to move a ball over closer to me and they would not roll well. The putter face wanted to scoot the ball. Anyway, thats just what I found.

I just started wearing my TAG golf watch while I play. It is so light it is unbelievable. The only thing I had to get used to was wearing it a little higher on my wrist to keep it from getting into my glove.
-
Im adding a couple pics of my new Tag and of both together. Then theres a pic of my custom built turbocharged Lightning, and both my trucks.

Awesome. Great write up on the Todd and the Top Gun. :)

As a fellow University of Central Arkansas grad, I hated to see Christina get beat out. I loved watching the eye candy, but unfortunately this year's show has been bad, I probably won't watch the remaining episodes.

79 for me yesterday. Started bad, bogey, double on the first 2 holes. Started to come around after that. Figured out why I had been pushing my drives right, and once I got my lower body to stop being lazy, started clicking. 2nd round under 80 for me this year, playing every day feels like it is really starting to help.

Last (Golf) Thing You Bought?
mhays26 replied to JYB's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
Scotty Cameron Circa '62. Hit it a couple times and had to have it, regardless of the fact that I bought a Spider about 2 weeks ago. Sad thing is, I got a oil can 54* spin milled too. Both came from the secret account that the wife doesn't know about. :) -
I have a friend that I grew up with that his new woman has completely ruined his game, and pretty much his life as far as I am concerned. Controlling, vindictive s1ut. Really makes me sad. Personally, being a relative newlywed of 1.5 years by wife honestly does not care when I play. Which must be kind of strange, all the guys I play with cannot believe she does not get upset as much as I play. I have never been from the school of having to spend every waking second with the other person, so it isn't strange to me.

Played F9 from the blues shot 42, then played in the weekly MGA 4 man scramble where -6 in 9 got us last of 8 teams, then shot a F9 41 from the back tees.

85 yesterday. Couldn't putt to save my life. On the front 9, I had a birdie putt on 7 of the 9 holes and made 0. Back 9 was quite a bit sloppier.
