I place a great emphasis on my short game, chipping and putting. Off my handicap and because of my age, I do not expect to hit all the greens in regulation, but chipping dead and single putts makes me a strong contender in any match.

There are always a number of guys who always played better last time out or last week, and never play well on the day, they always talk a good game. Most of us have good days and bad days, and no way would I compare myself with pro golfer. I let my golf do the talking and let my playing partners decide if they wish to commend me for hitting a good shot, as I would do the same to them.

You have to set goals for yourself, but it is an individual thing. A lower average score and a lower handicap are the most likely targets, which can be obtained by practice, dedication and a series of lessons from a pro' golfer. My personal goal is to be able to play golf for at least another 9 years at my present or slighter lower handicap. My age is 76 and I get so much pleasure from golf.

I think it is going to be a tough call for Donald to top the USPGA list, Webb Simpson has too much of a lead, Donald has to win at Disney to have a realistic chance. One thing I did notice is that Donald has played in only 18 PGA events whereas Simpson has played in 25 events. Donald deserves to be World no 1, given his consistency and position on the European Tour, in addition to his US earnings.

It's great that you got on so well with the AD333, I understand Srixon have now introduced a new AD333. I tend to use the AD333 most days, but sometimes use the Srixon "Soft Feel", a very similar price and quality, but I get good feel on the ball when chipping and putting. Distancewise it is no different to the AD333. Worth a try if you can get them at a good price.

Suggest you make sure you lock your wrists, I have seen so many players hit bad putts because they have a tendency to slightly break the wrists which results in a pulled or pushed putt.

Recently joined the forum, it looks good. Have been playing golf for many years, but you never stop learning this game, no two rounds of golf are the same, it seems.
