  2. It's a good ball. Plenty of spin. Durability as expected with that type of ball. I play the regular hex chrome and prefer it. A tad softer and I like the feel better.
  3. Nike 20XI X. I'm loving it.
  4. I have never been a fan of Nike golf equipment. Partly because of a terrible time I had with a Machspeed driver I didn't like and partly because I jumped on the bandwagon with the Nike hate. My pure ignorance. About 4 months ago I tried out a method 001 putter. It's a fantastic putter and I'm more consistent with it than I am with my Cameron, Bettinardi or Sizemore. I also replaced my wedges a month ago with a 54 and 58 VR Pro. While I don't find them to be amazing, they are a good wedge and fit my game well. Now the reason for this post. The 20xi x ball. This Nike ball is amazing. Low spin off of the driver, plenty of spin on irons. I have played 3 rounds with them and I couldn't be happier with its performance. The only downfall is it does feel harsh on an iron mis hit. When it comes to putting, it's another solid performer. My primary ball has been the Pro V1X. When I compare the 2, I get more distance, better spin and more consistent putting with the 20xi x. Kind of scary. Nike creeping in the bag and all. :-)
  5. What works for me is to stand behind the ball and pick my target line. I follow that target line all the way back to the ball. About 8-12 inches in front of the ball I will pick an "index" point. It could be a previous divot, leaf, etc. where I want the ball to fly over on once its been struck. I then make my address and align myself accordingly. It works well for me. It may help you.
  6. I picked up a Tour Edge 16* 2 hybrid. I throw it in the bag during windy days and use it off the tee. Works great for me.
  7. I tried to play 18 at a new course on Friday. I got stuck behind 4 guys who would rather chat it up and run their game on the college girl driving the beverage cart than golf. It took them 25 minutes to play each hole. They also would not let me play through. I had to leave after 13 to pick up the boys from school. Completely frustrating.
  8. Im another guy that loves Tour Edge. I have a TEE Bazooka Geomax 3 wood that I cannot replace. I have tried. The thing is crazy long off of the tee. I rarely hit driver anymore and just swing the 3 wood. I hit it dead straight with good distance. I have never tried their drivers, however Im looking to hit a couple to replace the 909. Their hybrids are very nice as well.
  9. I went through a few before I settled on the ones that worked for me. Had Cleveland DST and Adams A4. Once I bought the Adams Super Hybrids in 19 and 21, I stopped looking. The things are amazing off the fairway or out of the rough. I dont hit them as well off of the tee, however I over swing on the tee box leaving the face open at impact. ( I know I do it every time yet I still rip it). Id say my 19 is my 220 club and my 21 is my 200 club with a nice, easy tempo swing. The Tour Edge hybrids are very nice also.
  10. Done... Easiest 19 I have spent this year... Thanks for a great forum..
  11. I have a Nike Ignite, TM Monte Carlo, SC Newport 2 Detour and a SC California Coronado. Hated the Nike. The RSI insert in the Monte Carlo was way too soft. I bought the Coronado for the simple beauty of it. For me, there is no better putter than the Newport Detour. Turns the ball into a hole seeking missile..
  12. The more I read about how pretty much everyone got junk in their grab bag, the more pissed off I become. I would have laughed off my junk if I had seen others getting real prizes. So far, I have heard of only one guy getting any "gold" (the X22s). I purchased 2 grab bags with shipping for $55.00. http://www.[spammysite].com/golftease.html for a whopping $2.99 (if your NOT buying in bulk.) and http://www.golftees.com/brushtdriver.html for a whopping total of $5.99 (if your NOT buying in bulk.) No second grab bag arrived in the mail, so I am assuming that was BOTH of my prizes were in one bag. Its not worth it to me to dispute the charges or go through the drama of getting my money back. I got burned. Sounds like most of us did. However, I will certainly never purchase and I will definitely spread the word about my dealings with SHOTLY in the future. It will cost them well more than the $55.00 dollars they made off of me.
  13. It is a hassel. I dont have a 5, but I have an SG4. When its working (which is not often) its great. Targets are usually spot on and distances are perfect. But its usually not working well. I would not have bought it had I known of the issues. The damn thing has a mind of its own. I dont even use it anymore cause I just dont have confidence that its going to work. I think if I could do it all over again, I would seriously look at the Garmin.
  14. I received mine today. Good news for you guys, I got the old... A 3 pack of brush Ts and a 6 pack of nudie tees... Thats what I get for gambling.. Haha.
