  1. You should ask santa for the camo color Cobra GT stand bag.
  2. Please send me _______ for christmas this year? For me: 1. Real Feel golf mat. So I can practice at home, more effectively. 2. Gift certificate to Golftec or some type of swing analyst/trainning. I had an introductry lesson, and it worked so well for me. Worked on my 2 most apparent flaws, gained 5 yrds and swinging less. 3. TM TP Red. Got a free box of it when I bought my stick. I like it.
  3. This is what you have right? I've always thought that thing is more of a "game" than a swing "trainner". Do you find that you can be pretty analytical with this product?
  4. This mat seems promising. Anyone care to comment? http://www.realfeelgolfmats.com/
  5. Is it bad etiquette to be distractful, even indirectly, such as chit chatting with friends? Is it bad etiquette to tell someone to have a warm glass of shut the @#$& up? Should the range noise level be like it is on the course? What's your stance on the subject?
  6. I was looking at a few manufacturer's Japanese websites, seems like they have some pretty cool stuff overthere that is not available over here. What's up witht that? I do realize that there are a couple websites that sell Japanese market products, but with substantial markup, which is sure due to exporting fee, tax and the sheer lack of retail outlets. I can understand that Mizuno being a Japanese company, not exporting some of their cooler stuff here, may increase the prices out of the market. Yen versus the dollar, sure, lots of factors involved. But why would domestics like Taylormade, Callaway, and Titleist have different product lines in Japan. I think any golfer regardless of nationality like golf equipment as much as the next guy. Do the Japanese have such different buying habits and preference/requirements that they need different products? I think some of the products overseas can be sold here with success. Everywhere you read, golf industry is booming, blah, blah. Why limit your product diversity? Especially in apparel, where you can gain much more brand recognition, just look at Puma and Nike. I work closely with brand marketing, just something I noticed.
  7. If i hit a good shot, I repeat until I hit a bad one. I hope that promotes muscle memory with good setup and swing. Once I hit a bad one, which I think is an indication of bad setup and/or swing, I step off and redo my whole routine. Correct me, if that's not what I should be doing. I started this thread because I've it read somewhere that said to do the opposite. Step off after a good shot. Most rapid fire guys at the ranges that I go to, seem to be in the two extremes, either really really good, or really really bad.
  8. Great vid. I agree with setting up with the club hovering instead of touch the ground. Popping up with the driver's topside is worse than a shank with the hosel.
  9. When you guys practice at the range, do you just fire away, shot after shot which promotes better muscle memory(given correct habits)? Or do you have do your pre-shot routine just like on a course, visualize, aim, relax, etc, etc?
  10. 245 on a launch monitor. I don't play my driver on the course due to lack of confidence and consistency.
  11. I am a newbie as well. When I started, people told me to stay away from the driver. Is the hardest to control. So, my 3 wood is the longest I had for a while. Now it is my one and only "go to" club. I can hit my 3 wood solid. Last 9 holes I played, except for the 2 short par 3's, I hit all 7 other fairways. At the range, out of a medium bucket, about 50 balls, may be only a couple duds, all other goes airborne with good consistency. So I went and bought a Burner driver, you know, the hottest driver of 2007, ready to "bomb away" " gain a 100yards in my bag" and all that hype. You would think that it 'd be very similar to my Burner 3 wood. But no, very different setup. I get only about half of what I get with my 3 wood. Fancy driver doesn't let you bomb away, unless you can do it consistently. Definitely the hardest club to control. Yeah, showboating with my driver is cool, the only few times I get to hit it right on. To me, it more gratifying with my 3 wood right now. But hey, practice makes perfect. I took it out of my game. Only use it at the range. I hope to put my driver back in play by next season.
  12. Sergio Garcia
  13. First, I wouldn't kick either of them out of bed. But, Anna Rawson is hotter. Natalie is stripper hot. May look good in dark lighting, and is the body that grabs the attention, not the face.
  14. My wife is due on October 24th. He is our first. I hope they will have better and more affordable simulators soon, so I can play at home.
  15. I have one company's clubs and am happy with it. I like uniformity. And I find that I have a very natural progression amoung all my clubs. All the big manufacterers now are so diverse in their product lines, I dont think is hard to find something that fits any golfer's objective while getting uniform equipment. Callaway, Taylormade, and Nike all have 6 sets of irons. Titleist has 5, Mizuno's got 8! That's not including last year's leftovers. But I guess is hard to resist when you walk into a pro shop and is like a candy store, you just want to get a taste of everything.
  16. I also agree that a "pay what you play" policy with golf course will benefit many. Say you get out of work at 5. Only have an hour and half till sunset. Maybe 6 or 7 holes. It would be nice if they can change only the holes you play. ESPN golf school gives you golf clubs with their lessons. I should have done it. Ignite irons, a wedge, a putter, and a fairway. I might still do it next season. Maybe they will have the slingshots available.
  17. First name, I used to drive a BMW M3 .
  18. I have the burner 3 and 4 and is working out well for me as I have a slow swing speed. Also matches my irons very well, without me making huge adjustments, cause they all have smililar shaft, flex and grip. The club face is actually squared. But it does have an offset. It makes more of a "pinggg" stainless steel type of sound like a fairway wood. So you might be tempted to setup like a fairway. But I hit it more like an iron with the ball position in between mid iron position and fairway positon. I saw a trainning video somewhere and posted in the "hook the daylights out of the hybrid" thread.
  19. http://www.golftipsmag.com/video/ins...id-basics.html This shows a proper ball position for hybrids. It has worked well for me, and I use Taylormade hybrids, which by the way, to clear things up, most have a square face.
  20. How do you paint all those swirly lines? I've said it before that I like it, and still do. I would agree that it might be a bit busy. How bout some flames in TM colors?
  21. I think spitting is just bad manners. I've lived and travel often overseas, and in many cities I've been, spitting is in the same level as littering. And a golf course is not the outdoors like the wilderness. It is a public place like a restaurant, or a shopping mall. I especially would not spit in the presence of women or business associates.
  22. Setup your stance first, make sure it is proper distance, shoulder width for short irons, mid irons are about 2 inches further apart, long irons and woods are another 2 inches apart. Once you got your stance, rotate your left foot from you heel about 10- 20 degrees towards the target. That is what I was taught from my pro.
  23. tell them to read this http://golf.about.com/ click on the left where it says "Beginners" There are many FAQ on the most basic stuff.
  24. Looks like the rules weren't strictly enforced in the first place. Still, I would have called him on it. However, I wouldn't want to win on a technicality. If he hasn't use that club and if it was an honest mistake, I'd be ok for them another form of penalty.
  25. Sure, there are equipment that you need more than just one, like balls, tees, and maybe gloves. How many of you have piles of equipment? More than one driver, more than one set of irons, few pairs of shoes, multiple putters, etc? And why?
