Hey, Unfortunately have never played Bray Golf Club but this link is an Irish Golf forum that I like, plenty of good people there will help you out (hope it's ok to post the link, mods)... http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=343 Bray is quite nice to live in, I used to consider it "the countryside" a couple of years ago but with motorways, etc now you can get to Dublin city centre in 30 mins. Also has the excellent DART (train service)... Very popular seaside town during the summer when (if) the sun comes out... Dublin golf clubs are crying out for members at the moment, see the above forum for posts on cheap memberships available... Best of luck... Red

Hi, Last weekend I played a round at The K Club (not the 2006 Ryder Cup course, the adjacent Smurfit course). It has a great finishing hole, a Par 5 500+ yards dogleg left with an island green that is overlooked by the clubhouse. On the island is the green with a bunker in front and a bunker in back, that's it. Now my question, my friend laid up his 2nd, put his 3rd shot into the front bunker on the island. He caught his 4th "too" cleanly and sent it straight over the green, the ball sailed directly over the back bunker and straight into the water. Neither of us were sure where he had to take a drop ball. We were only playing a casual game between friends so didn't really worry about the ruling but I'm curious, what should we have done??? Hey, about 6 months ago I bought Dead Solid Perfect on VHS (after it being recommended on here by a previous "Best Golf Movies" thread and mentioned in John Dalys biography as his fav movie EVER!!!). I don't have a VHS player anymore so got a friend to convert it to .avi (perfect copy, about 700 MB). Anyway, if you want a copy I can burn the .avi to a CD and post it to you if you want (no charge of course)... Mods, dunno if that's allowed, if not please delete this post... Red.

am I the only one that was disgusted by his spitting on the greens??? Seemed every time the camera went back to him he was doing it... Apart from that nonsense I do like him though, brings something new to the game...

Wow that's looks awesome, could be kinda weird looking down at that trying to line up a drive (which I find hard enough to do anyway)... I'd love a pure black head with just 5 gold stars in a line helping me line up the drive - the gold stars representing Liverpools 5 wins in the Champions Leaue / European Cup...

I've never played any of the Hot Shots series but from what I've seen of Hot Shots 5 I'll definitely be getting it, looks great fun, hopefully the European release date is Oct too...

The games still isn't for sale yet in Ireland for the PS3 (release date is apparently 21st Sept) but I've played the 3 hole demo available to download at the Playstation 3 Store, seems to be ok, if the new GamerNet & Gamerface options work as advertised then it could be worth getting, at least to tide me over until Hot Shots 5 gets released (I think in Oct)...

I played a round today with my brother-in-law. At a long par 3 he teed off, the ball struck the yageage board of the ladies tee (about 15 yards in front of our tee box, to the left), the ball shot back 10 yards past us about a yard into some heavy bushes. Unsure of the ruling and because we were just out for a bit of fun I told him to just rehit, no penalty. But I'm curious, in case this comes up in a competition, was that the right call??? Are the yardage markers counted as 'part of the course'??? Thanks in advance for the help...

Seems like I've been waiting for this on PS3 for months (probably since I got sick of 07), meant to be out tomorrow here in Ireland but a guy in a shop I tried to bribe today (to sell it early to me) told me that in fact it's not out until 1st Dec which would really suck (it IS out tomorrow for the 360 though)... Also waiting for Hot Shots 5, never played Hot Shots before but from what I've read it's meant to be pretty good fun...
