  1. Yeah, I'm sure that sucked for him. I would be pissed if I didn't touch the ball and it moved of no fault of my own.
  2. My vote goes to the Titleist Vokey Spin Milled, with the Cleveland 588 running a close second.
  3. Maybe your gloves are too small....try a bigger size.
  4. I like the OGIO Grom and the Vapor...
  5. I don't have an official handicap, I'm going to work on that next year. This year my first 8 rounds were high 90's and low 100's, all of the rest of my rounds since then have been mid to high 80's and a couple of low 90's, So I took off about 10 strokes, give or take.
  6. I wear my contacts, and sunglasses.
  7. I'm not sure. I think his eyes always seemed a little red. Maybe he has allergies? Being on the course all day and getting eliminated wouldn't help that either! But I don't really see him as the crying type though.
  8. Well, I guess Mark is gone now. I can't believe he missed an almost identical putt to what Anthony missed last week.
  9. I really have a hard time off the tee. And my long irons are really not giving me much distance lately. I'm barely getting 160 - 170 with my five iron, and I'm a big dude (6'2" 289lbs).... The hardest shot for me right now is about 90-110 yards from the green. I have trouble judging distances, and I usually overshoot or undershoot by about 15 yards. It sucks. My GIR is really bad right now, less than 30%. I'm really trying to work on that right now. Hitting a lot of range balls with my 8i, 9i, & PW.
  10. I'm with Norm66, I think about 2:45 to 2:30 is about the fastest I've ever played 18 holes. Any faster than that, and I'd be making horrible shots every time. At 1:49 you are averaging 6 minutes per hole. That sounds a little too hurried for me. I could see getting closer to the 2 hour mark at a really short course, but anything less than that is really pushing it for me.
  11. Woods, Lefty, Weir, Verplank
  12. What's your price?
  13. I agree...He was totally immature about the whole thing. He played poorly, and he should accept that. I'm glad he is gone too. Next weeks episode looks good too.
  14. 1) Steve Yzerman 2) Mario Lemiuex 3) Teemu Selanne 4) Joe Sakic 5) Ed Belfour (drinkin' buddy)....j/k
  15. In case you didn't notice it yet, this weeks "Bag Drop" column is about the CG14....
  16. If you really think it will affect your friendship, I would drop it. But next time you see him do it, I'd call him on it. But bringing it up after the fact would not go over as well in my opinion.
  17. Green Size: average to large Putts per round: 36 - 38 per round Putter: Ray Cook Mallet prototype or my Golfmate cheapie 3-Putts: about 2 per round I actually picked the wrong poll option on accident....So my choice would actually be the 37 - 38 category.
  18. We used to putt in the office a LOT.....Our boss put the brakes on that though. It did improve my speed control a lot. I was happy with that.

    Go Sox!

I'm still praying for that curse to come back....
  20. Will Mike Weir continue to be Canada's Golden Boy? After watching him play against Tiger in The President's Cup, I wonder if he can top that....
  21. Ogio golf is making some nice looking cart bags... I've been looking at the Vaporlite on the reccomendation of my longtime buddy in the forum(finalrequiem). He has the Ozone , and really likes it. The Grom (Reviewed by Jeff Smith) has also peaked my interest too.
  22. http://thesandtrap.com/forum/showthread.php?p=80332#220 My 2007 Results: 1) Consistently score in the 80s: I'm going to have to say I didn't complete this one. I played a lot of golf, but mostly only 9 holes at a time. I did shoot a low score of 87 this season which I count as a victory. (Technically, I still have time to improve this, thanks to milder climates in the South.) Although I failed to score in the 80s consistently, my game was teetering on the edge with a lot of scores in the 90s and 91s this year. 2) Breaking my personal best of 82 by springtime: Since springtime is technically next year, I won't count this goal at all. I will however re-list it as a goal in the 2008 Goals thread when it opens. 3) Cure my slice: I'm still working on this one. I have tamed in down quite a bit from the high, rocketing banana it once was. But it's not cured. I failed here. Mostly in part to my own discipline. I didn't hit the range often enough. Overall, I'd say I didn't do very well in meeting my goals. Although, I am coming off a 6 year break from golf, and I didn't start playing until June this year, so my goals may have been a little too aggressive. Bonus) I did manage to improve my short game immensely from 2001, which was the worst aspect of my game previsouly. My putting, short irons, and wedges are much better than before.
  23. What a coincidence. I play hockey, and used to ride dirtbikes too...I also enjoy the occaisional pick-up football game too.
  24. I bought my Adams Irons off ebay with no problems, and I saved a bundle too....
  25. I can get a good 100 to 110yds pretty consistently, and I can put up a really nice flop shot out to about 60-75yds. I like to drop in straight on the green like that.
