Yeah. I'm pretty sure it's that. It reminds me of like a jersey, that's why it caught my eye. -

What kind of polo is Tiger wearing?? The material looks really nice. -
I get this massive jolt of adrenalin and spaz out and cover my head....

If I got a hole in one at my home course, odds are the only people in the club house would be me, my playing partner, the pro shop manager, and a few seniors just hanging out, oh and a 13 year old golden retriever that loves to mooch off of people and get a chunk of somebody's sandwich. I'd have to buy non-alcoholic drinks anyways.... so it'd end up costing me like 8 bucks. Mountain Dews for everybody!

Gatorade Lemonade???
-
One of my teammates uses it and loves it. I really don't think they have changed much since 2009 except the looks and adjustability. My only dislike is the stock grip wears out really quick, but I guess I have used it for 6 months playing 4 times a week at least...
-
I may be biased. But the 2009 Burner is pretty great, and you could get one new for that price. No adjustability or anything, but still a great club.

If I had to drink only one drink for the rest of my life, it would definitely be the red fruit punch Gatorade. No doubt.

"Best" glove for sweaty hands
WhackAndHack replied to Pabski's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
Ditto on the gloveless. Well actually for about the first 15 holes. I live in NC and on some of the more open tracks, it can get pretty hot. My mom picked up some frogg togg towels for something else, so I figure I will use them. I've heard they are really good for keeping your hands cool. I use the Golf Pride New Decade Multicompound grips on my irons, and they are great against sweat. -
How often do you encounter people who smoke a joint during a round?

There are quite a few high school golfers that show up to competitions pretty blazed and go out to shoot sub 40. -
I bought HX Diablo Tour Overruns (12.96 a dozen btw) from Golfsmith, and they have some record company logo on the side so no need to mark them!

People who talk about themselves in the third person. You aren't Tiger. I don't want to hear "C'mon Joe!! You gotta do better than that!" After every shot. "

So my current glove is on it's way out, might have one round left in it, the thumb is almost gone and it's falling apart. I asked my mom to pick up a RH glove for me. She stopped at Walmart and Target but they didn't have it, so she stopped at a local 9 hole course. She went in and asked the guy for a glove. She bought it and gave it to me when she got home. It was a top-flite XT glove, normally 9 dollars at most of the courses I play. The guy charged her $40!!!!! She has very little experience when it comes to golf so she assumed it was the normal price. Do y'all think that is the actual price at that course, or that the store manager took advantage of her small knowledge of golf?? I feel it was the latter and we are going to return it. Has this ever happened to anybody else??

In North Carolina we play triple bogey is max, and usually if I triple it's a tapin triple, but some of the guys I have played with aren't even on the green et and pick up. So I'm thankful for the triple bogey rule or else we would be there all day! haha
-
Might have to check that interview out! And in matches after the first tee jitters I'm usually fine. Nice avatar btw! Thankfully the course on Thursday is a little more of a dog track pretty flat, short, and not too hard. I'd like to crack bogey golf and get into the low 40's I just need to make a few more of those 12 footers and go without tripling any. Did you play high school golf Buckeye Nut?
-
Shot a 47!! I placed second on our team even though I was the 5th spot. Our team placed 3rd out of 5 teams and beat a team by one stroke that had previously beat us. I went par-triple-double-double-par-bogey-bogey-bogey-bogey. I had to play with a total tool though, typical rich city kid snob. Couldn't stand the kid and he said I double hit on a bunker shot, when I definitely did not. Next match is Thursday!
-
Made top 6 for tomorrow. Get out of school at noon! haha. And then I have a one day playoff, 9 holes, against a teammate who is a senior on wednesday for the spot for the Thursday match.
-
Thanks for the stories guys, the part about the girls teams in hotel made me bust out laughing in class. I shot a 48 today on the course we play Tuesday, and the greens were freshly aerated, so I didn't putt well
-
Haha well the top 6 guys off each team get to complete. This match was weird because there was 5 teams. Normally there is only 3 or 4 so all the 1's play together, all the 2's play together. etc. So in a 3 some, Guy A keeps track of Guy B and himself, Guy B keeps track of Guy C and himself, Guy C keeps track of Guy A and himself. In a foursome it's just two pairs. There is a triple bogey rule, and it is stroke play. The lowest 4 scores for each team counts, and the lowest team total wins!

Shot a 50 at a course with Donald Ross greens. Tied for third on the team so my score counted. For some reason I kept hitting low pulls on every drive. Not sure what was up, didn't happen on the range beforehand. So I had to scramble my @#@ off, getting up and down for bogey a few times. I was at the 6 spot, and played with 2 guys in the 5 spot. One was on a hot streak and shot a 43. He played well and the other shot a 49. Playing a nice course on saturday that we compete on, on Tuesday.
