This might sound silly but I'd feel a bit of a prick going in and spending all that time with them. I'd feel like I was wasting their time, what if I end up buying elsewhere?

How do you do it? I'm in the market for my first set of new clubs, I know I want a set of GI irons and I currently favour Ping but I'm trying to be open and objective when I go into the shop and start hitting clubs on the machines. So... what is the best way to do it? I think I'd probably start out by asking to try out a range of 7-irons, as it's my favourite club in the bag and that should give me an idea what irons I want to try more of. Is that a sensible way or should I stick to one set at a time, trying all the clubs?

I've not been on this site in a long time but decided to come back now that I feel I'm a better ball striker, consistently getting the ball airborne and considering getting new clubs for the first time. Ping are currently my object of desire. I hit a friend's G10s 7i for a few shots in the range and it felt so nice, like a refined version of my Eye2+s (which are great clubs that I will NEVER sell). I'm at that stage now where I don't feel embarrassed by my swing and will be demoing clubs heavily over the next few months, with a view to upgrading in Christmas but Ping will be the first on the list to try!

Does anyone have the MX-17? They're very similar to the MX-15 so would give me an idea...

Hi all, As the winter dies away and the spring approachs, it's time to think golf again. I'm currently playing old Ping Eye2+, which I really like, but I can get hold of a set of Mizuno MX-15s for a very good price, to use as my second set and maybe onto becoming my main clubs. Would they be worth getting hold of? I'm quite a long hitter for my ability, and like the 3i and 4i ahead of modern hybrids. I have a slight natural fade when hitting well and a high tempo and medium swing speed. How do these clubs play? I know they're newer technology. Thanks...

My eye2+ are my first set and I love them. They're so balanced. I'm going to treat myself to a new set, probably from the i or g series, but I'll be keeping these and having them adjusted as my back up set.

Aikman, Smith, Irvin, Novacek. Best offence ever.

I love my 3-iron both off the deck and off the tee. It's a go to club when my hybrid isn't behaving itself off the tee. My next set as I improve will 100% contain a 3-iron.

I'd prefer something higher, personally.

You've answered your own question by saying you now must slow down to keep the ball in play. You should go and try out the same head as you have in your club in stiffer shafts.

It was nice to see Liverpool lose quite comfortably in the end. Cracking goal. Dida made an absolute arse of himself but Celtic will still face quite a stern punishment I think. Big news for us is that Carrick is now out as well, meaning we have neither of our main holding midfielders. Fletcher is also injured, so it'll probably be O'Shea slotting into midfield if we have RB cover, or Giggs or Anderson will have to step in.

We don't own Tevez to sell him, he's on loan. And yea, Saha makes the perfect partner for a Rooney or a Tevez. It's a shame he is made of glass.
