  1. Have owned them both. The Superquad seemd to hit farther for me. However the Burner seems easier for me to hit solid.
  2. I was going the suggest the same ball. If you can get them for that price definitly give them a try. They play very similar to the V1X, some say longer.
  3. That sucks, you have to have a membership to a driving range? I am lucky I guess. My employer buys a coporate membership for all of us small timers. So haven't payed (greens fees) to play at my home course in 18 years.
  4. Thanks for the repost. I just sent in a pic.
  5. I was wondering the same thing about a local club in my area. Starting this season it was under new ownership. Membership rates went up to $1500 per season, they also raised greens fees and limited non members to 2 or 3 play times per season. Now in this area that is alot scatch. I know the new owner wanted to turn it into his private boys club, but I wonder how much sense that made. Almost every weekday I drive by and the parking lot is almost empty. I don't know what it does on weekends, but it used to be alot busier. At $1500 per season, alot of guys I know who used to play there would/could only get out about 10 times a season. Its far from worth it.
  6. I have some R7 Draw irons I got this summer. I was very happy them for improvement irons.
  7. I owned both a R7 Draw R Shaft and a Superquad with Profoce V2 Stiff shaft this season. I have about the same swing speed as you. From my experience there was no real big difference in distance between the 2. I wouldn't spend the money on the shaft, you should be able to pick up a superquad for closer to $200 I sold my mint shape one for that much and only paid $230 for it when I got it. Then put yours up and you should get close to $100 for it. Get the new club for the price of a shaft.
  8. I just started playing again this season after a 4 year layoff. I didn't even know about hybrids. I always struggled and didn't even carry a 3 and 4 iron, and I always stuggled hitting greens from 180 out. I bought all new stuff this year, and that included r7 hybrids. Its made a big difference in my game. I have hit more greens or have come close more then I could in years past. So for my they work and are a definite improvement.
  9. Only had time for 9 and was left dying to play the back. Shot +2/38 Doubled 4th hole par5 after hitting second shot into bushes and taking a drop, then had a bad chip and 2 putt for 7 Bogied dogleg par 4 due to missed green second shot and bad chip. Birdied next hole, a hard to stick par 4. Lipped out for birdie on the par 5 8th Par'ed the 9th which is a long par 4 and I hardly ever do so. Was very happy with my round, Really coming into my new Mizuno Irons and Titleist Driver.
  10. I would agree with the TM TP Black. Very similar in feel and play.
  11. I just picked up a set of Mizuno MP 60's that came with Aldila NV Graphite Shafts I wasen't looking for Graphite shafts but the price was great $350 with 2 MP R Wedges I have never played with Graphite shafted Irons before,or with "player irons" before either. So far after 27 holes I haven't felt that big of a difference, or seen any distance increase at all. They are about an inch longer then my other irons which I am trying to get used to,but I was told I could use standard or +1's.
  12. That sucks that nobody turned it in for you. I just checked ebay thinking there would be one there. Only a ton of 6 irons and 1 9iron.
  13. Not long enough! 250 is a long drive for me.
  14. Very True. You can easily save 20-50% off retail on almost every set of clubs on ebay.
  15. I always use a tee. Why not have a perfect lie.
  16. I buy a nice large back from my local walmart. Just bought a pack of 35 non friction tee's yesterday, haven't tried them yet.
  17. Shot 81 which is pretty good considering I was using a new Driver (Titleist 907 D1) and some new (to me) Irons I picked up on ebay (Mizuno MP-60's) The biggest deal came from the Mizuno Wedges that came with the set,(really helped)
