  1. Play what you like and what you can hit best....Hybrid or no hybrid. I like 4i better than hybrid, but 3iron is good in driving range, but not on course under pressure. I've been struggling with hybrid until I found Callaway X-hybrid (2008) in steel shaft that gives me same swing sensation with the rest of irons, and I can hit well. Don't worry who carries what...just find out what works best for you consistently.
  2. I would get 3i and find out how it works for him, since 3i is between 4W (and 5W) and 24 degree hybrid which is little longer distance than 4i. One thing you may want to consider.....I recently replaced my wood and hybrid in steel shaft as I have much better trajectory and control in steel.
  3. We all need a driver or two or many. My recent frequent slice and hook have made me mad, working on longer driving makes me tense.
  4. If you hit it about ~220-260 yard with a driver and find your ball on non-fairway often, and 3W for ~200-220 on fairway most of time from the tee, why do amateur, most of us anyway, need a driver….is that a ego thing? My 3W tee shot makes straight pretty much every time. My driver may make it 50 yard longer but not necessarily straight every time. Your drive may be not-so-long or not-so-straight, and this may cost extra shot. Is it still worth struggling with driver? I'm little sarcastic but asking serious question, so no hate answer please!
  5. Golf club is "consumable".....nothing wrong with keep buying and trading them.
  6. I started with MP52 when I was >20 handcapper. Main reason I insisted on is the feel I had with a good shot that I believe taught myself to keep good swings.
  7. Bought a Ping 15* hybrid.
  8. Wondering how you can survive until you get decent prize money to support various expenses.
  9. If I had to force 6 iron, I will feel pressure and may make mistake. Easy swing with 5 will do it better for me.
  10. If you are happy with your 3i, add 18 degree hybrid and add 3 wood to fill the gap from driver. I would sand wedge. After that either gap or lob wedge. You can consider to replace your 3i or even 4i with hybrid (~21* and ~24*) to add utility from difficult lie.
  11. I wouldn't go with higher than 10-11 degree for 60* as you already have sand wedge.
  12. Yes, rather have accuracy and better control. Distance without control will ruin your score.
  13. Best of the luck. Frequent play with lessons will make big difference for improvement. I wish I have more time to play....
  14. Both of them looks good...I understand your dilemma. Cobra looks slightly more fashionable to me. How about the functionality or convenient features?
  15. Regarding hybrid, I had a good experience with Cobra and Ping. Have seen a good feedback for Mizuno and Callwayway as well. I understand your comments on TM for "hook".
  16. After reading a break, I'm looking at the ball and hole or imaginary hole considering break several times.......then pick a spot about few feets away in front of me as a reference to contorl put.
  17. That what I'm doing every night at $0
  18. I once played with a touring pro.....just lucky to have him in a same neighbor with good friend of mine who is + h/c armature. Major difference between pro and my friend is consistency in swing, making different shots under pressure, great recovery from hazard, reading green and putting skills (especially from >10-20 yd).
  19. I hope he meant what he said and be able to play again this year.
  20. Your apology accepted
  21. First of all, he didn't have to do conference, if he still think his "sex addiction" is personal and family matters, and want to ignore fans and media. But he came out of public hiding only under the strictly controlled and manipulated environment. not allowing any questions from media. I do not want to ask any question since I don't care about his personal life other than his golf, but media may....this simply indicates that he does not want to reveal anything other than planned statement.....sign of dishonesty. When you feel truly sorry to your friends for what you did, do you read statement in front of your friend? NO! Bottom line of this whole press conference is just calculated act to pave the road to come out of hiding and play. This is that simple.

    Eagles?

None, I was putting for eagle several times but miss them. Saw my friend was doing from 200 yd away.....very lucky.
  23. I agree with this point. BTW, Reading pre-written statement word to word without giving any chance for single question…..under perfect control of the situation...is NOT a good sign for a sincere apology from my view point. And, he's going back to therapy?

  25. BTW, Not sure about reading pre-written statement word to word without giving any chance for single question…..under perfect control of the situation. Not a good sign for a sincere apology.
