  1. I use a Tom Slighter custom made putter that combines the best of both worlds : it´s a blade putter weighting 360 gr for great MOI and forgiveness. You can see it here : http://www.slightergolf.com/custom/c...fset=30&id;=569
  2. If you´re getting down your handicap, working in your swing, perhaps the i10 will suit you better. If you don´t have too much time and need a lot of forgiveness, go with the g10. I´m a 13 hcp, and I´ve found that there is a time when game improvement irons make you worst, and you need a more players irons to improve. I don´t mean blades, but something in the middle. I´ve changed to the i10 coming from a Wilson Ci6 (a mid-handicappers irons) and I´m glad I did. The i10 have some cavity but will force you a bit to improve. Hope this helps. Joaquín
  3. I normal conditions, I´ll go with my 3 hybrid
  4. Wilson is one of the most underrated companies. Good stuff at the right price
  5. Voted Karsten. But I´m very classic... And a great price, 90$
  6. A brand new Ogio Vaporlite Garnet/Fire
  7. Why it´s necessary to choose? I´ve got the best of both worlds in my Slighter Tacoma Custom Made : - It´s a classic Anser head blade - Has the MOI of a mallet due to a 360gr head
  8. In this 3 years playing, from beginner to 12 handicap, I´ve tried : 15 putters!!! So, ratio is 5:1. Maybe I´m a bit picky... Until l´ve found one that suits perfectly my putting stroke (and my eye), my beloved Slightergolf Tacoma custom made , see at : http://www.slightergolf.com/custom/c...fset=30&id;=569 So, I´ve tried and owned (it´s crazy), in alphabetical order : Macgregor M1 Oddyssey 2 ball center shafted Oddyssey Dual Force 2 Ping Anser 2 Ping Anser 4 (my backup putter) Ping G5i Zing Ping UgLe Ping Zing 2 Manganese Scotty Cameron Red X2 Scotty Cameron Studio Stainless 2 Scotty Cameron Studio Design 2.5 Taylormade Rossa CGB Titleist Bullseye Wilson 8800 .... in 3 years...but I´ve found my putter. Not everybody can say this
  9. I play a Sonartec MD Transition 3H 21º UST IROD graphite shaft in regular. Very happy with it, gets airborne easily, stops quick, great punch and dead straight off the tee.
  10. Par 3, 165 yards with a lake between the tee and the green. Hit it thin, and it bounced 3 times over the water, surpassing the lake and reaching the green to 5 yards from the pin... Nice shot!!!
  11. Voted for the hybrid. I´ve got more security than the wood and I can get easily airborne than a 4I. Plus it stops better.
  12. Mine is a Callaway Big Bertha black bag
  13. But you don´t play Nickent at all, do you?
  14. Love it!! I ditched the 3W-5W combination for a 4W and added the 60º LW I´m a Dave Pelz believer and I practice the 3x4 system, BUT I don´t hit the LW in ALL situations like other guys do, only when required, that´s it : - Thin lies - Lobs - Quick greens - Flops - Very short chips In the 80-50 yards range, my go-to club is the GW
  15. Yes, I could if the course demands it, but I don´t like Last weekend I played in a tight par 69 course, with no pars five in the front nine. I left the driver in the bag and made +1. But I feel much more confident with my driver from the tee rather than my 3 wood.
  16. Yes, I did, but with some variations : - First, take into account that in the book, Pelz refers the PW as a wedge with 50 degrees loft or so. Today a PW has 44-48 degrees - Today, all the club lofts are stronger, so a 4 iron has the degrees of a real 3 iron So, I addopted the Pelz 3x4 system, but I did the following : - I carry a PW (45º), GW (51º), SW (56º) and LW (60º). I don´t carry a XW (64º) - With them, I´ve the "finesse swing" table with 12 distances - For the spare club, I ditched the 3 iron (think in fact it´s a real 2 iron) or sometimes, it depends on the course, I carry only a fairway wood instead of two. I´m waiting for a 4 wood I´ve tried, and I think I will carry the 4 wood instead of 3 and 5 Other thing you can do is to tweak the lofts of some of your irons to have one club less but well spaced in lofts. Jim Furyk made this, and he doesn´t carry a 4 iron, he has a 5 and a "false" 3. As Pelz says, you´re not so precise with long irons, so... Hope this helps Joaquín
  17. I´ve tried the "Two Thumbs" grip, in smallest size, and it weigths 85 gr. Same model in normal size weights up to 125 gr... so it´s affect swingweight a lot, and the putter head feels lighter. You need to adjust adding weigth or to become accustomed Hope this helps. Joaquín
  18. Voted others : SlighterGolf Tacoma Custom Made Nothing feels like a putter handmade specially for you... You can see mine it at : http://www.slightergolf.com/custom/c...fset=30&id;=569
  19. My choices : 1. Driver - Taylormade Superquad 2. Fairwaywood - some of Callaway 3. Hybrid - Cobra baffler 4. Game Improvment Irons - Titleist 775 5. Super Game Improvement Irons - Callaway 6. Player's Irons - Titleist 755 7. Wedge - Vokey Spin Milled 8. Putter: Mallet - Odyssey Marxman 9. Putter: Blade - Ping Redwood 10. Balls: Premium - New Titleist Pro V1 11. Balls: Non Premium - Titleist NXT Tour
  20. Voted Titleist because I think Cleveland is loosing the way a bit with newest models. Classics like 588´s are what I like and have. Spin Milled´s scuff the ball, sure, but also puts tons of spin. It´s a personnal matter.
  21. Wilsons Ci6... probably the most underrated brand
  22. Hi, Mine was $350, as I can remember. You can get one from $200 but I added some expensive specs, as a "floating face slot" ($60), international shipping and others. If you´re very interested, I can search my email inbox to find the original quote, but I suggest you to ask one directly to Tom, he´ll be glad to answer you. Regards Joaquín
  23. Cleveland HiboreXL 10.5 Fujikura Regular Looooooooooooooong!
  24. Sonartec MD Transition 21º
  25. Voted NXT Tour as my regular ball, but it depends on the situation : - Playing with friends and with their agreement, I carry two in the pocket, one cheap ball and a ProV1 (my home course has a lot of water and OB) - In tournaments, NXT Tour or ProV1 - In winter, a softer ball as Callaway Pearl or Wilson Fifty
