  2. I am working on taking the club back on a more outside path, lately my miss is a low pull due to the club getting stuck behind my body thus coming over the top. Its such a terrible feeling, for me, it is usually accompanied with a sway towards the target on the downswing. I have much more control over my swing from the top when the club is in front of my body, It is much easier to reroute from this position than to fight the over the top move from a stuck position.
  3. Do you think "dead hands" on the backswing allows you to tense your hands together at impact resulting in distance gains?
  4. explain this please
  5. Yeah my bad, Ive been posting on a lot of other threads, being very detailed on what I'm working on and trying to correct.. Forgot the detail on my own thread...
  6. Yeah, I just need to be more patient.. Im am changing from and over the top finish to a correct finish (plane wise) Working on hitting in to out to get the feel...
  7. Its much harder for me to get my driver and woods working from the inside.. topping the ball a lot Any thoughts? I have a good deep shoulder turn at transition, just seem to come out of my arc easily and my right shoulder moves up.
  8. Also, could you take a slo-mo video?
  9. Halfway back concentrate on getting the butt of the club pointing towards your target
  10. I was thinking of another feel you can think of... at the start of your downswing imagine trying to hit the golf ball to right field... You will produce SO much more power if you can swing on plane.. think of a hula hoop tilted on an incline. Your backswing follows that path however your downswing sucks back in (to the left) throwing off the hula hoop plane line..... Even though you are swinging harder the ball will not go as far when you swing to left-field like you are.. Post another vid when you can
  11. Damn that sucks... I haven't gotten to that point yet, my game is still on the rise
  12. If you put the tee too close behind the ball it might defeat the purpose of the drill, improving your plane.. With the tee further back it would help you swing from the inside sooner. Ball going to the right? Could it be an open club face?
  13. It looks like your allowing the club head to leave "contact" with your body at the top. Its a lot better than the previous video, when you were in maroon. Compare those two swings and maybe you'll see what Im talking about... Maybe the club getting extended that far is throwing you off balance thus throwing off your spine angle
  14. You should try to keep your ass as far back as comfortable at impact.. You're really trying to muscle the ball getting far outside the plane right before impact. Try not swinging so hard and try to get your right shoulder turning right under your chin at impact. It should feel like your throwing a bowling ball lemme kno how it goes
  15. Yeah that looks a lot better.. Much better shoulder turn and overall rotation on your backswing. You still look a little active in your arms and hands at takeaway. Try initiating the takeaway keeping the club head in front of your chest. I think it would help you set the club which leads to your transition. Speaking of transition, your spine angle gets thrown off a little at the start of the downswing. That video is night and day compared to the other one.. Swing really looks good
  16. Good job man!
  17. Why does the website not let me post at certain times? Says I'm new to the site and my comment is being held for moderation... I just spent 5 minutes typing and I lost everything I wrote
  18. Yeah, golf is a cruel mistress.. Your skill will leave you whenever it wants... How'd that one great wound turn out?
  19. What i really focused on was maintaining my spine angle at the beginning of my transition and just trying to turn my shoulders on that angle while keeping everything quiet until reaching parallel. It was really weird, it felt just like i was bowling when swung it right. Sorry for being redundant, still really pumped up... Lets see, I had a lesson on Saturday and did these 2 drills: (1) Line up a ball (or a tee) ~3' behind your ball lined up on your target line. Then place another tee about 4' in front and about 2' to the right..(for a righty) This is a very basic drill for getting an over-the-top player to start swinging from the inside.... Take a 3/4 swing and hit your ball while staying inside of the back ball, also try to swing out towards the front right ball. (2) 3 ball drill- Line up three balls at a ~30 degree angle facing your target.. (If you have a right triangle with an angle of 30 degree angle b/w the adjacent side and the hypotenuse) Does that make sense?? The inside ball will be in front and the outside ball will be back.. Try to hit the middle ball. If you miss watch out! You might shank the front-left ball into your chin! Message me if I was too unclear
  20. I hit the ball great today comparing that to my normal practices. I really worked on getting a deep takeaway to promote and inside to out downswing. I have a tendency to muscle the ball, throwing my spine angle off resulting in an over-the-top downswing. Once at the top of my backswing, I concentrated on maintaining my spine angle and just rotating my shoulders, really trying to get my right shoulder where my left shoulder was at the transition. (Righty) It felt like trying to throw a bowling ball. The best way I can describe it is "effortless power", getting the club on plane during the downswing really works wonders,
  21. then you probably don't need stiff flex
  22. Depends on your swing speed. Does the club "swoosh" when you swing it?
  23. I put a red one of my Yes! feels great, I think the oversized grip makes my other clubs feel a lot better.. I don't really feel a difference in distance control compared to a reg grip its just a lot more natural to hold.
  24. Im wondering how far I should hit a 3w, 4w, 5w? Id say i have normal swing speed. I hit my 7 iron 160yards... I guess a better way to ask this question is what is the iron equivalent for the woods listed, in reference to distance?
