1. I bought one a few weeks back. First thing I had to do was do what needed to do months ago...upgrade my computer away from XP. It did not take long to get used to it. The mobile app is fairly good although there are times I have trouble finding the screens I was looking for. Online editing has been easy. The biggest complaint I have is the outdated list of standard clubs to pick from in their drop down menus in the initial setup stages. They are still working on how to deal with courses that have 27 holes. In that case I have to record round as seperate 9s. All in all I like it a lot
2. I know I am late to the dance but let me know if you set up another after May 1. I have signed up for a lot of VSGA one day events and am always amenable to playing at Laurel Hills in Lorton, VA.
3. Reed -7 Speith -7 Dufner-7
4. Titleist SM5 50, 54, and 58 degree wedges. 50 is F grind. Other two are M grind
5. I am 6'7" and clubs are +2.5 but...the key data point is that my arms are short for my height. It is all based (mostly) on the distance wrist to floor. Most likely the main thing taller folks need adjusted are lie angles.
6. Thanks all
7. What is the rule if when taking an unplayable either 2 club rule or going backward still results in an unplayable lie. Yesterday guy hit into woods. Tried to hit out and ball hit tree and went way further into woods. What are his options now (along with penalty strokes).
8. The sooner the better. I will remind you come January.
9. Any chance this deal might be repeated again this year?
10. Not for me as I do not wear T-shirts. I only wear shirts appropriate for the golf course. That way I am never caught unable to play. ( same reason I only own one pair of jeans).
11. This is the correct solution.
12. Nicolas Colsaerts -9 Graeme McDowell -8
13. Having seen Lindsey Vonn taken around by security in a traditional cart makes me wonder what she rode in at Merion? And if it was a regular cart, perhaps Casey needs to call in threats against himself to get the regular cart deal, albeit with a chauffeur
14. Two good reasons to put your name on your bag, regardless if size. 1. Less likely to get stolen or taken by "mistake". 2. It really helps those you are paired with remember your name without having to sneak a peek at a bag tag after having been told your name and forgotten it. (In Florida where many own their own golf carts they have their names stenciled on the front of the cart for the same purpose)
15. NC State
16. Dan. Go to Golftec or someplace similar and get fit. It all depends on your stance, posture, and most importantly the distance of your wrists to the floor (standard way they measure). Many tall folks with long arms can use standard clubs or ones just slightly over. Take the time and get it right the first time. Do not let a non professional fit you.
17. Are they using Shotlink at this tournament? They should have detailed records of the yardages for both shots
18. What about rule 6-7. (2 stroke penalty for slow play. No mention of just one stroke) Also. Perhaps fault lies with all the other officials who don't enforce the rules. Perhaps euros actually care about slow play. Prediction. A slew of penalties in next month or two.
19. Mine were in the mail box today when I went and checked. Thanks for making this available to us. Is there a video out there that show the process of using the tool to install? It would appear fool-proof but I have time and time again made a mockery of that term. Thanks again..
20. Roger Maltbie during rain delay
21. Does anyone make golf balls anymore like the old Pings that were half one color and the other half another? I think i would like to get some to practice putting as it is very easy to see if you are the least bit off on your stroke.
22. The new Mizuno ball once the send me a dozen. ( hint hint). Bag is actually an orphanage for adopted balls I try out.
