  1. there is only one answer: 1. Adjust grip/ball position/swing so there is no need for timing the rotation. You physically cannot time the contact, it happens too fast.
  2. 6 under today for a tie for 2nd. Good for her. I hope she makes good decisions and helps the LPGA get the recognition it deserves.
  3. you know the old saying, "better lucky than good". Congrats on the former!
  4. A traditional route is to form a group of backers from your home golf club. These would be guys who think you should be on tour and are willing to put up $10K against a % of your earnings in that year. Advertising sponsors, in the traditional sense, aren't really available unless you're on the big tours. As a note, the best way to get guys to sponsor you on tour is to consistently take their money when you play with them. Then, they'll figure it's cheaper to send you out on tour than having you take their money.
  5. This argument shouldn't be in this forum. We should be an "idiot, yes idiot" somewhere else.
  6. Born Sunday, Feb 8. I wonder where the names came from? Elin a hidden Guns n Roses fan?
  7. I'll probably get banned for this, but I'm ready to go. Any of you idiots, let me repeat that, idiots, that stiff a hard-working waiter for 15% are lower than pond scum. They have to put up with your idiocy, smile, be pleasant, and what you don't see is them yelling at the back of the house and the bartenders to get your meals and drinks out quickly. Nobody that has ever worked in a restaurant or in any service industry would ever stiff a waiter except for horrible service or being disrespectful. If you can't afford 15 or 20%, you know what, McDonalds and KFC will welcome your business. Nobody else want you in the restaurants. You're invariably miserable, cheap, complaining idiots and you ruin the experience for everyone. Enough said, mods feel free to ban me.
  8. Crack me up. You've apparently never had service in France. I've been there several times, had many meals, and never had "service" either. And, when you check the price of the meals, you know that "service" is built into the price.
  9. If I was a sponsor, I wouldn't make a bet on his golf swing, either.
  10. what is going on Paddy's face? Did he lose a fight?
  11. It's a great round, but I wouldn't describe your best round ever, because it's not a full course.
  12. i always tell people that when I'm worried about players stepping on my line, I'll be on the PGA Tour.
  13. watch people hit balls off the first tee for a little while. you'll realize that the vast majority of golfers suck.
  14. i think he's carrying more muscle than it appears, it's just sheathed in a fairly solid layer of fat. he's trying to portray a more athletic figure, nut I'm not sure it's working.
  15. A brush fire started in the hills adjacent to our course. They started running air tankers at the fire because it's close to homes. To refill, a helicopter hovers over a pond on the course, scoops up water, and drags thousands of gallons of water directly over our heads towards the fire. As the fully laden helicopter passed overhead, water gently dropped on us like a mild rain.
  16. I've hit a one iron and used to hit a 2-iron off the tee on tight holes all the time. Off the tee, they're not too bad. But, if you miss it, it won't go far, which can be a good thing.
  17. Dude, no stalking allowed, you're scaring me.
  18. Hmmm, I don't think they're throwing away any merchandise. They would clearance table it and lower the price until it was sold.
  19. I really want to get down to a 4hdcp so I can play in USGA masters events. I'm working towards that this summer.
  20. We went to school at Long Beach Wilson, which had a decent segment of upper middle class students who would have been exposed to golf. So, there had been some talent at the school over the years. He was described as "the finest golfer to ever come through this program." I think he did really well in the CIF championships, too. So, he was always a standout player that was looked upon as "special".
  21. Great job, those are fantastic scores. At your level, if you're not hitting your PW consistently inside of 20ft, that's where I would spend time.
  22. I'm watching Daniel Chopra and Anthony Anderson at Trump National in Palos Verdes and on one of the holes, Trump put in a waterfall. It is so stupid looking, like Trump just thew it in at the last second because his courses have to have waterfalls. Funny thing is that at his course in Florida, I think the huge waterfall looks great. But, it is so out of place in CA.
  23. 75 is a great score, but it seems like you could hit more greens. 9 of 14 fairways is great. How long were your approaches? If you're playing a long course, it totally makes sense to hit fewer greens. Were you using a putter or an iron when just off the green?
  24. 50% isn't that bad. I would wonder why you missed more than half the greens.
  25. Yeah, I totally wish I would have played when I was a kid and in high school. I would have been on the high school golf team with Paul Goydos!
