  1. the superquad has a black finish. that about sums it up.
  2. I wondered the same thing a couple of months ago. I always had trouble with fairway woods, until I bought a 1hybrid. I bought the Callaway Fusion 1H and it was VERY difficult to get clean shots, given the lack of loft, small clubhead, and length of the shaft. I was unable to get consistent trajectory or distance out of it. The 3 wood is the better choice. From my experience, the 3 wood has a higher trajectory
  3. in no way does the swingweight scale give u a measurement for static weight. swingweight is a metric for weight distribution throughout the club. so how are you "fooling" it? swingweight is not an indicator of static weight so comparing "light" swing weight to "light" static weight is comparing apples to oranges
  4. Generally....a 5 gram increase in grip weight will be a decrease of 1 swingweight. as was mentioned before, the average grip weight is 50 grams
  5. I voted "yes" as well. Unfortunately for Verplank, that is the rule. He did get shafted but the rule was written that to avoid judgement calls. Most, if not all, of the rules in golf are written to minimize the effect the rules officials have on the game, unlike other sports where referees can have an impact on the final outcome. I'm sure there are plenty of times when it is debatable whether or not the player caused the ball to move. Rule 18-2 does a good job a drawing a fine line between what is a penalty and what isn't
  6. Chippers are probably great for beginners that need consistency in the short game. but in the long run, its better to learn how to chip with irons and wedges because they will allow for more flexibility for chips from varying distances and lies.
  7. as far as i know, swing weight is a measurement of how the weight is distributed throughout the club. a high swing weight means the clubhead feels heavier. it's more relevant for swing speed and tempo than it is for distance and trajectory. if you're looking for a smooth and controlled swing, you'd should go for higher swing weight if you want more clubhead speed, then you should go for a lower swing weight
  8. powertrip, the lead tape won't affect your distance or trajectory (atleast not noticeably). lead tape is primarily used to change swing weight. hope that helps
