  2. Are you gonna switch to 69? I'm waiting for the 64s to come to my shop then I'll most likely buy them or the 69s.
  3. It's not a textbook swing, it's one of the most controversial swings of the better players on the PGA. I'm not saying it's bad but it's not a swing you could just copy without having a lot of problems and to make many compensations. He does his compensations well that's why he hit the ball well. About the Mcilroy vs Tiger I voted Tiger. As some said above he is more consistent and eventhough he hasn't won any major this year his name has been a lot on the leaderboard and he has been close many times. McIlroy is good now but his form hasn't been good whole season like Tigers has.
  4. There's not one key that will make you hit incredible golf shots like the pro's. But fixing the most critical flaws step by step will eventually get you to a good distance with a nice consistency. I increased my distances from 8i with an average of 120 yards to about 150-160 yards average this year, it didn't happen all at once but step by step. These were the most important flaws I fixed or atleast improved in random order: Steeper shoulder turn More centered over the ball (head not moving forward or backward or in or out) Fixed the flipping at impact Better lateral hip movement and legs in general Better swing plane and understanding of swing plane (many details in here like wrists, left arm, right elbow etc. etc. this is still not very good) Better stance (flared feets, ball position on both axis, weight distribution etc.) Better grip (started with a very weak grip that went very strong and now hopefully is how it should be) Better alignment (feets and shoulders square) +Probably some more things that I have forgotten Ofcourse I still got things to improve on but these changes made a drastic change in ball contact and consistency.
  5. Team USA: Brandt Snedeker Bubba Watson Dustin Johnson Jason Dufner Jim Furyk Keegan Bradley Matt Kuchar Phil Mickelson Steve Stricker Tiger Woods Webb Simpson Zach Johnson
  6. My guess: Bad read 40% - You can't aim much wrong to miss the put. Wrong speed 40 % - If the ball speed is not what they planned with the read, the ball is not going in and it's quite hard to put to an exact spot everytime. Face not square: 15 % - Mistakes happens. Wrong swing path: 5% - every swing is not perfect but I bet most guys has a very repeatable swing path.
  7. This is my recommendation. First make sure you putt on the intended line and aim your clubface square to where you aim. This can be done with an elevated string on a flat slope, make sure you can make the ball roll under the string, make a gate with two pegs at the beginning of the string so you make sure the ball starts where you want. Then try it with some break and notice how much you have to aim outside the cup to sink the putts. With break the ball starts under the string but leaves the string ofcourse. Once you are aware of the true aim, learn some about different putting techniques, the technique where the clubface is square to the target all the time and the more common one when your clubface turns in an arc, also read about different putting grips. Try some different techniques and decide for the one that feels best. Now learn some basics about green reading, how downhill and uphill affects the break etc, also check some videos about aimpoint and maybe take a course if you wanna learn more about greenreading. Next thing is to get the right speed, I don't recomment you to try to learn lot of techniques, this is imo mostly feel and training. I'd train lot of long putts like 10 yard putts from different slopes and combine that with the green reading skills you learned. Then make sure the 3 feet putts is in the cups atleast 90 % of the time. Should be few or none 3 putts after that.
  8. Thanks for the encouragement I need this in times when the handicap isn't going down =). The left wrist hinge might be a problem yes. But I think the main problem is the roll of the wrists. Check this pic. My knuckles or the back of the hand in the left hand is pointing more to the sky while luke's back of the left hand is more visible from backview and points more to the right. It should be and easy fix next time at the range hopefully :).
  9. As you might have noticed this thread was about that he has a high clubface speed but doesn't deliver that to the ball, and much likely it's because of the flipping. My film is just an exaggeration, call it a feeling, that hopefully will make him not flip so much and lose all speed before impact.
  10. I think you should really only focus on getting rid of that flipping Ajlepisto, it's your Nr1 priority. This problem is what I think wrist related so you don't have to focus on anything else than that imo. What you'll need to do to not flip is a flat left wrist at impact, how do you fix that? Well the best way for me was to get the right wrist cupped at impact and try to hold it cupped thru the hit. I made a little film, the right wrist is exaggerated a lot but try this and hopefully it will help.
  11. Htting of mats is as good as hitting from grass. Grass on range is not really optimal either because on course there are many different conditions, downhill uphill etc, not on range. It's just training and it will make you better if you try to fix your weaknesses.
  12. Better now. I rarely make bad contact anymore, problably 90-95 % of my hits at range today was in the sweetspot. My usual miss is fade now, which happens quite a lot. I think my hands starting to be at right positions now, which is good. Still got wrist problems between A1-A4 that I need to figure out. When I look at the pictures it seems so easy to change it, but it's hard in reality. Well just gotta keep on working, hopefully I'll understand it soon. edit: and ye I almost forgot. I've changed to the interlock grip now, the reason I did this was because I wanted to give it a try so I shot 500 balls with it and it felt so good I didn't wanna switch back.
  13. Should have watched the frontview! Pretty spot on why he loses ballspeed.
  14. Dustin Johnson I'm not a big fan of his swing but I would copy it any day of the week if I could . Anyhow, hope you enjoy..
  15. Ryder cup participants 2012. Team Europe: Nicolas Colsaerts Sergio Garcia Martin Kaymer Graeme McDowell Francesco Molinari Justin Rose Luke Donald Peter Hanson Paul Lawrie Rory McIlroy Ian Poulter Lee Westwood I'll post team USA when they release the wildcards.
  16. Haha golf is a mystery, especially the backswing it certainly aint easy. Glad you made some improvements! I think there's still some juice to squeeze out from that ball, which isn't clubfitt related.
  17. Swingthoughts are very personal depending on what problem one has. My feeling is more of a low and vertical but it's because I've been too much inside. In the end we might end up in the same spot in the takeaway because we don't do what we feel.
  18. Hehe know the feeling I also work hard with many bad habits. I can't see any major flaw in your swing, and it looks sweet, can't see why it wouldn't work. But the takeaway is kinda shallow still, my instructor told me I do the takeaway like you give gas with the trottle on a motorcycle. So my swingthought has been to not give gas hehe. Might work for you aswell.
  19. Found this table, something is definitely wrong with the clubspeed and ballspeed ratio.(Don't know how updated it is though) I know it's possible to lose tons of ballspeed with sidespin, but you usually hear that on the noise, it sounds too much imo. Can't you post a video of your swing? I'm getting kinda curious
  20. 60° wedge: or my bunker and shortgame would suck 8 i: for 150 yards and in 3 i: for distance Don't know what to putt with but my putting sux anyways
  21. I don't know much about trackman numbers. But my unqualified guess would be that when the hands aren't infront of the ball at impact you give the club to much loft which causes loss of distance and high spin numbers and a high trajectory. Have you compared the launch angle?
  22. Ye i agree that it takes a lot of commitment and that it's hard without a teacher. But it's not impossible to do it on your own, and you learn a lot on the way too, which I think is very important. If you learn why your swing changes is good you won't fall back in the same mistakes so easily. The more you know the easier it gets to make changes imo. Eventually you don't need an instructor when you film your swing and can see your own mistakes so clearly. But that's just my experience, and i'm not that good yet, I know. But i'm learning a lot on the way from my mistakes. What i'm trying to say is, if someone thought me how to do a flawless swing I wouldn't had to go trough all these mistakes, which in the end I won't ever do again because I can recognise them when I see them.
  23. If you want more distance more hip turn in the backswing(almost a straight right leg at the top) a steeper shoulderplane (get left shoulder down more at the top of the backswing) And the shaft is to blurry to see what's happening at impact
  24. I see you have made progress. However you need a better camera or change the shutter speed settings (if it's not possible to film in slowmo). The club is so blurry it's hard to see the shafts location. Also I think you should look over the grip, it looks a bit too strong with the left hand.
  25. I don't know what you're trying to say here and I don't mean to be rude, but the cause is simply that you aren't squeesing your elbows together, it's not a effect from anything else you are just letting your right elbow slip away from you which causes it to be in a bad position at A4. So try what mvmac is proposing, a small ball or anything similiar that will drop to the ground if the right elbow lose contact.
