  2. I loved my 3h when i bought it. it easily became the best club in the bag outside of the wedges early on, but anymore its just garbage. i can hit my irons straight draw fade hook or slice whenever i want, and it seems all i can do with the hybrid is hit it dead straight or hook it. theres little control with it. but i keep it cuz i really enjoy stepping up after my buddies all hit their driver and i put a hybrid 15 yards past them.
  3. I think its far more popular, but with the wrong crowd. I feel like it started with tiger, and then younger guys more recently (ie anthony kim, rickie fowler) brought in the douchey crowd, so now you go to the course and you get stuck behind 3 foursomes of guys with popped collars who have no respect for the etiquette of golf. they sit out there more worried about who slammed the most beers and updating their social networking from their phones than actually playing golf and make the game less enjoyable for the rest of us. That could just be the case in my area, but i know I will only go out in the early am or if the weather isnt favorable
  4. i golf alone a lot, and never join up with anyone. haha but im pretty anti social.
  5. I used to golf with a guy who is horribly slow. Like, thinks he needs to tell a 4 min story before he sets up, then waggles 40 times, then backs off at any little sound as if it will matter, resets, waggles another 30 tims and then duffs it 20 yards...on every hole. I called never again when it took 5 hrs to walk 9. I wanted to kill him. But I didnt find the need to hit him with a club lol
  6. too bad for your prediction.
  7. This is the best post ever. Why you ask? All tour pro's can get their hands on any piece of cutting edge technology they want. Tiger is given clubs 2 years befor any other pro is allowed to use them. AAANNNDDD THE GOD DAMN BRADY "TUCK" RULE. Yeah, like a chump you used a guy who has a rule in the nfl defined by him, as your example as to why tiger shouldnt talk? hahahahah FAIL
  8. Agreed. I've never looked at a club "name" and based a purchase off of it. for me, its all about how much im willing to spend, and how it feels on the practice tee.
  9. After 3 rounds this weekend, only one shot seems post worthy. from 219 out with the ball about a foot above my feet and a creek that runs across in front of the green, i lined up a four iron aimed about 10 yards right of the green (i hope most of you know the ball above your feet naturally wants to go left for a righty) and landed it about 3 yards short of the green one hop and rolled out pin high about 8 feet right of the flag.
  10. yeah i played there last year, it wasn't pretty but i didn't know crap about swing mechanics or anything then, i was just a hacker. One of my friends is actually the assistant superintendent there, so whenever he actually has the free time i can go on with him for cheap.
  11. Bubba Watson -14 John Daly -9 Robert Garrigus -2
  12. I live just south of rockford
  13. I tee'd off around 9:30 with a guy from work, so dead cuz of the heat (set a record high for the day here) the course let us play 18 for half price. Played to the norm of my abilities.
  14. Want to break 80 Want to get on a 530+ par 5 in 2.
  15. Shot of the day, this morning 1st tee, put my drive in the neigboring fairway but the 1st few shots on a course with no range are always shotty. From 200 out I hit a draw with my 5i to get around a tree and left myself with a 20 foot birdie putt. Pretty satisfying recovery.
