I guess I need to think about shooting the lock off my wallet next time I purchase a pair of golf shoes. I typically go to Dicks', try on some to find ones I like then snipe a pair off of Ebay. I can't imagine spending $200+ on a pair of shoes, let alone ones for golf.

How far do you hit your clubs?

Great point. I'm really amazed at some of the claims by some people here. Either they don't know how to figure an average or they're just trolling. I would imagine hitting those distances yet he's still carrying a 5 handicap, his short game must be in dire need of an overhaul. -

LMAO! I shit myself reading this. Too funny! Thanks for the laugh.......... -
As others have indicated, let the faster players through if no one is in front of you or you're not keeping pace. If you're feeling compelled to speed up or are getting nervous/annoyed with them waiting for you to hit then you already know your answer.

Wow; I can't believe that. The guy seemed ageless to me. He was a great golfer, announcer and had so much wisdom on and off the course. Ken, you will be missed.

Great breakdown guys. Is the bad lag a product of not really shifting the weight well (referring to video #1 in the original post)? Does the lead shoulder rise up because of that poor weight shift and the left leg straightening? Am I overanalyzing it and should just focus on trailing elbow? I'm still fighting this issue (clubhead speed throwaway or possibly mild flip) and this seems like some great stuff to work on.

iHack has your fault nailed OP. You're releasing early and loosing power. I have exactly the same problem and my distances with the longer irons is about the same. Do like he's telling you and try to increase your lag. Good luck. Great posts iHack. Props given.

Wow..........2-3 gloves PER round? So besides dropping the greens fees, food, etc.....you're also dropping anywhere from $20-30? If I were you, I'd check your grip and/or grip pressure. If it's either is off that might explain why you're burning through them. That or you need to buy a better glove (maybe .5 size bigger?). That's insane. IRT topic: I golfed for years without one but now that I live in Georgia it's too hot to go without; especially walking.

Just buy the AAAAA off of Ebay and try to find ones that say 'no water balls'.

I'm still struggling with that very thing. The OP has probably got something similar happening. A way to see is impact tape on the sole of the club and strike a board with a swing. Most likely you'll find (as I did) that the tape will have a mark in the center to the trailing edge. Either we hang back and don't have a proper weight shift or possibly our trailing shoulder is dropping severely. We also could also be getting the club stuck behind us and in an effort to square the face, we get too 'handsy'.

Assuming he completely learns the rules or finds a caddy to know them AND he doesn't have some idiot rules official telling him not to worry then I think he wins a couple more but falls short of the record.

Augusta National just got a reprieve with that Playoff and the finish. It took the Tiger story to page 6 with the Obituaries. Great tourney and the only downside to Sunday afternoon was Jason Day choking slightly to miss the playoff. Still, fantastic!

Why break the flagstick?

I can't believe Angel C. went for it on the 13th. I still think he may win but that was a brain-fart and a half.

Don't get me wrong; I'd love to be there right now but imagine spending thousands for those tickets and getting rained on with the temps in the low 60s. I saw a pair of tickets for all 4 rounds go on Ebay for $16,000+. At least there was free shipping on them though.

Fantastic start to Sunday; going to be a wild finish. I'm stoked. How about Langer..................great start but coming back to Earth now.

Level response by first telling me I have blinders on? You threw the first rock pal. Take it like you give it. Go back and reread your own post. You stated "As the officials saw it during life play, it was the correct spot." Again, telling me I need to work on comprehending such statements as 'life play'? Lulz at the hypocrisy. Back to the debate; no, it wasn't the correct spot. Had it been the correct spot, again we wouldn't be debating this. It was a drop at an incorrect spot followed by an incorrect ruling. Only after Tiger's statement did they decide there was more to it and reviewed it further. That is an absolute fact that only the most ardent Tiger Woods fan fail to comprehend. So the failed comprehension is yours. A wrong spot is the wrong spot regardless of when it is announced or who spots it. Keep trying..............perhaps the light bulb will come on.
-
If it was the correct spot, then why the 2 stroke penalty? I'd rather have blinders on than kneepads; i.e. TW infatuation.
-
If he chose one of 'those correct' spots, we wouldn't be having this discussion. He chose a spot that adjust the shot he just hit to gain an advantage............period. Agreed. Regardless of where Tiger finishes this year, people for and against the decision will take issue with it. Those ardent Tiger supporters will say (if Tiger loses) that Tiger was robbed. Those 'haters' (and count those people who think rules are rules so he shouldn't be playing) will put an * beside whatever position he finishes at. The best possible solution to the situation would be for him to take the high road and Withdraw.
-
Faldo and Nantz were just discussing this and Faldo made the statement that by Tiger's own words it became clear to the Rules Committee that he sought to gain an advantage with his drop. Like I said, if you think Tiger should still be playing then you're a Tiger fan and not a fan of the game.
-
In his own words, he purposely dropped it wrong to give him a better shot. Not an oversight and certainly not honest.
-
I just watched the clip of him again, describing why he did drop there. So it was into the grain where he would have to drop so he went two yards away to give himself a better shot? Yep......that's cheating folks. If you think he should still be playing right now, you are not a fan of the game; you're a fan of Tiger who gives him a pass no matter what. What a shame if he wins this. What else is he doing to gain advantages on?
-
Yep; if Tiger got DQ'd the t.v. ratings would take a hit and then Augusta would have egg on it's face. Now what they've done is look like it's outright favoritism but that's okay if the guy's a minority. Yep. Making the admission that he purposefully made an incorrect drop tells you all you need to know about the guy's character. 'Make a drop according to the rules?...........Ain't nobody got time for that!'
