  1. Depends if golfing with friends or in league. Also how well i'm hitting it that day. Lots of other factors also. 1. is the green flat or sloped. if sloped I look to see how hard of a pitch shot it is. 2. same with deep bunkers. 3 water usually don't scare me but I would rather lay up in front of it then go in the drink and have to hit in front of it anyways with a penelty stroke.
  2. I have both and there is no difference at all
  3. Our league allows winter rules because the grounds keeping sucks. You can hit it in the muddle of the fairway and end up in a hole behind a huge clover plant. Heck with this heat they didnt even mow the fairways for 3 weeks because they have no water. If I play a real course I play it as it lies . I would rather have it sitting down that fluffed up
  4. A friend of mine taught me this to help me. I used to slice and block shots right. He had me hold my driver with my right hand only and with a real loose grip take the club back and slowly swing ( almost just letting the club fall). Watch the head as it comes into the hitting zone. If you swing outside in you will see the club head open at the impact zone. Next do the same thing but bring the club back a little wider and you will see the face start to close at the hitting zone. You can keep experimenting with different take back swing angle to see where the face is at impact. This drill really worked for me because it made me understand the effects of the backswing plane. Now when I either block it right or over draw the ball I can just do this on the tee box to get my self back to the correct swing plane.
  5. I replace the glove if it shows any wear. for me usually the thumb goes first. As far as getting them wet. they usually just shrink a little. buy a pair of rain gloves and keep them in your bag.
  6. I have played both and for some reason I didnt care for them. I got a sleeve of top flite Gamer v2's from an outing and I fell in love with them. They are really soft and I can spin them and hold the green just about as good as with a pv1. The best part is they last along time unless u loose it. They dont scuff much with the wedges. For $16 they are a really good ball.
  7. Clubs are ment to be hit. You think Any pro practices with differnt clubs than he plays with????
  8. I was having the same exact problem. Slicing it right and blocking it right. I was at the range the other night trying to work it out ( to no avail) Then the Golf instructor who had been watching me came out and told me that my backswing and my decent was to steep causing me to not close the club head. He had me bring the club back slower and flatter ( a below my shoulder to get the feel of it). I started hitting really hard draws that way and he said that was what he wanted to see. he wanted to change my muscle memory and get me to start to swing inside out. He then had me bring the club back even with my shoulder and it didnt feel as awkward . I started to pound the ball straighter than I ever have and really long. The next day at league It was the best I have ever drove the ball. Dead straight and ave of 260. I was usually around 235- 250. I even drove a 322 par 4 with a little help from the wind but it was by far the best drive I have ever hit. Even the guys asked who are you and what did you do with Paul. That sure felt good. Hard to believe I have been fighting this for years and maybe fixed it in 10 minutes. P.S. It sure is nice to be friends with the driving range owner
  9. I found for me switching to an oversized grip really helped me take the wrists out of play. The only time it is an issue is on really lond putts
  10. I'm sure they are on some nice off shore island that doe not have extradition.
  11. Just for giggles and laughs I emailed them and this was their response. Look at the letting toward the bottom. All clubs we sell are original manufacturer, and has a 2-year quality guarantee, if you have any questions, we will repair or replace. Please feel comfortable buying. Thank you! That is half price of the regular ones.
  12. what I dont get is why dont the big companies go after them. If they were clones they would have a different name on them like at Giga Golf. Seems like companies would really be pissed selling clubs with the same name at 1/2 price
  13. http://www.myonlinegolfshops.com/taylormade-rocketballz-rbz-fairway-woods.html No where does it say clone or seconds. Dad always said it if sounds to good to be true it probably is. Just wanted to see if anybody every bought anything from them?
  14. I used to have the same problem with the fairway woods and the long irons. once I learned that I didnt have to overswing to make them go far everything got better. dont swing the woods like a driver swing them the same speed as a 7 iron. same with the long irons. It heloed me alot .hope it does the same for you.
