I've tried these and love them. But my wedges destroy them, the cover gets ripped off after like 5 holes. I can have to throw away a ball every 5 holes.

I just got a scotty cameron tour issue putter for 250, its to nobody's specs, its just 35 inches with a 345 gram head. Some tour spec clubs are extrodinary, but others are overrated. This cameron though, from what i can see, is one of the extrodinary ones.

Today my scotty cameron came, i opened up the box and i cant believe it. Wow, this is a beautiful putter, and ive heard nothing but good things about the camerons. On a bad note, i couldnt use it cause it was pouring and their was lightening. I am wondering what is the best putter you have ever owned or wish you could own, and please reply with a model or any additional comments. Just by first impression, this cameron, which is my first nice putter (i had a used wilson and a used tommy armour), is staying in my bag for at least 5 years. Ok i had the same problem when i was getting fitted for my ping irons. And the 59s are from 2006, the 58s are from 2007, and ping is releasing the S57s in late 2008. The Ping Pros have the s57s in their bags, but you'd be surprised how many pros have the i10s in their bag, i.e. Chris Dimarco plays the i3s, cast. The i10s feel like blades, they give feedback, and the reason i chose them was distance. I couldnt hit the s58s as far as the i10s. They're both great clubs, and i dont know if you can go wrong. Definently get fitted, that helps a ton. Since you are a better player than i am, i would get the S57s, yes wait for the S57s. http://www.•••••••••.com/ping-s57-irons/ check em out, u might be able to get a set off ebay from japan, they were released in march.

actually, my scotty hasn't arrived yet, its on order. But right now it is def. my favorite. I use mine off the tee, off the fairway, from the rough, when i need to hit a low fade, punch out, and sometimes chipping from the fringe :). Glad to see u like urs.

i was just wondering if anyone could recommend any golf balls that i should try. I plan on going to the course, using my caddy discount, and spending 100 bucks on golf balls. Im just gonna buy sleeves, not a dozen on any of the recommendations. I am trying to break 80 on my home course (shot 80 4 times in the last month, 81 twice, and like six 82s and 83s) . Today, i played an executive course, par 65 and shot 73, with 2 eagles (par 4s chip ins, one from 85 yards and one from 45). I hit the ball about 260 off the tee. My swing speed is above 100 MPH. Six iron goes 165-170. Wedge goes about 125-130. i spin my irons a lot and im looking for a high quality, low spinning ball, that has a great feel. Thanks for any advice.

the balls you are talking about are not low spin golf balls (the juice and the nike power distance). However, when someone i know just started playing, i recommend the Titliest NXT Tour or the NXT extreme. These are a little pricey, but you should also try the Nike Ignite. If you truely want a high quality ball at a low price, the Callaway HX Tours are on sale everywhere, same with last year's Nike One Blacks. Good luck and hope ur enjoying the game :)

yeah i have this hybrid too. It is just awesome. Glad to hear someone besides me loves this club. Favorite club in my bag, by far.

Most of these people are right, but Taylormade isn't the only company that releases tour equipment. Nike has a limited release on their Nike SQ Tour 5900. Nike has the MOI of this driver being around 4800, with a smaller head than the stock SQ 5900. This driver also comes with 3 shaft options, which are all top of the line including the VS Proto, The Diamana Whiteboard, and the Grafalloy Epic. Nike plans on releasing more shaft options soon. Also, there is no alignment aid on this driver, just like Nike's previous tour versions, like the orginial Nike Sasquatch Ti Tour, which is in Tiger's Bag with a Whiteboard shaft. With Taylormade, which makes the most tour equipment, meaning it is the easiest to get to the public, i always buy the TP stuff. Anything from taylormade that isnt TP has a draw bias, this information can be found here: http://www.taylormadegolf.com/produc...ion=technology just click technology. Tour equipment is awesome for the average golfer, but i guarentee you are not getting what is in so and sos bag like the commercial says.

I wasn't trying to say that this shaft is a high launch shaft, i was just saying that i personally was hitting the ball at a nice high launch angle, which led to more distance. This is just a flat out great shaft that beats all the other shafts in every category.

Mizuno MP 57 Review and Bridgestone J33 Review
Teedub7 replied to Teedub7's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I guess im wrong about these irons, but after 3 people telling me i have it wrong, i know the shaft is the wrong one for me. Finally, i think i need to point out that i am only 15, and that you are older guys who probably swing harder than me. These irons are playable for me, but i didnt like the feel, maybe i just though cause im a 12 and couldnt hit them and irons are the best part of my game. -
Mizuno MP 57 Review and Bridgestone J33 Review
Teedub7 replied to Teedub7's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I guess you could be right, the shaft was a little too stiff also. I think the precesion rifle 6.0 is like X Stiff, but im not sure. -
love my gap wedge, i can hit it 95 yards and i can hit it 120 yards, all that matters is where you play it is in your stance. i also use it to chip when i am on the apron and i have a lot of green to work with. Usually, i dont have a SW, but if i had to choose i would choose GW over SW everytime because of the versatility.

Mizuno MP 57 Review and Bridgestone J33 Review
Teedub7 replied to Teedub7's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
He has the Precesions Rifle shafts, they had no label, i think they are the 6.0. I have hit those shafts on different irons and i havent had any problems with the ball flight before. And in case anyone was wondering, on the bridgestone there were True Temper Dynamic Gold S400. -
So i got my hands on the new Nike VR Wedge (VR stands for Victory Red) through my cousin who works for nike. This wedge is the new version of the SV wedge and it was in Tiger's bag for the US Open. Plain and simple it is going to be in my bag ASAP. This is a forged wedge that comes in a varity of bounce options, but unlike the SV it only comes in chrome (for now). The sand wedge felt so good out of the sand and from the rough. It was very versitile and extremely forgiving. It has a great feel and the ball bites on the green. This wedge, when it comes out this fall or next year, is gonna give your wedge a run for its money. ON THE WAY NEW NIKE FORGED IRONS- CANT WAIT!!!!!

The Pro at my course let me try his irons on the range during a lesson, these irons look so sharp. They are by far the best looking irons ive seen, aside from maybe the MP67s. However, these irons are very difficult to hit for a forged cavity back. I usually strike my irons very well and i got the i10s instead of blades for the extra distance. But seriously, these MP57s hurt when you miss. I hit the sweet spot and the ball flies extremely low and it stings. This is my first experience with Mizuno irons, and based on my judgement, you shouldnt be playing these irons unless you are below a 5 handicap. On the website, it says a forgiving cavity back, but this irons only looks like its forgiving. Great looks though, a true players irons This same day, i was caddying at the course and a man had just purchased the Bridgestone J33 blades. Honestly, i didnt think he could hit them anyway, he is about 60 years old and above a 20 handicap. He doesnt hit the ball far and he was really struggling with his new irons. So he asked me to hit a 6 iron out of the rough, to see if it was his swing and not that the irons were too hard to hit. So i took a swing in the rough and ouch, it stung so bad i let go of the club and it slammed into the ground. The ball flight was really great, but if you hit it on the sweet spot why should it sting? These irons are in the Bag of Charles Howell, except he only has them in a 6-PW, he has cavity backs in everything else and i no why. These irons, like the MP57s are beautiful to look at, but they both sting terribly. The MP57s are the better looking iron, but the bridgestone seems to be more forgiving.

I was in need of a 3 wood for a tournament i was playing in, so i aksed the pro if he had one for me. And since he knows me, he gave me his 3 wood to borrow. Problem is it is in the X Flex, but he said i should be able to hit it. BEWARE THE SHAFT PLAYS WEAKER THAN A REGULAR X. However, it it the best shaft ive seen on any club. All day i hit the fairways with it and stuck one on the green on a 230 yard par 3. This shaft has a great feel, it leads to a high launch and it goes about 10 yards farther than my Aldila NV S flex thats on my three wood. If you have the money for this shaft, definently get it, this shaft will help you hit every shot where you want it to go.

Tour issue scotty cameron putter
Teedub7 replied to Teedub7's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I know it isnt going to do anything good to put it in the closet, i just want to know whether or not i should purchase this putter and if i do play it, will it ruin any valur the putter might have -
i am going to buy a scotty cameron and i found one of the tour issues models for a really really good price. however, i was told by the seller that this putter is too special to be played, and im like, really scotty cameron makes thousands of putters each year that are tour issued. It is a Scotty Cameron Studio Stainless Newport 2 Tour Issue that is brand new with the Titleist Black chord grip. Would you play it? Or would u store it and sell it later?

You could try the nike ignite golf balls, they are similar to the nike one black, but they are cheaper. They are hard and are a distance ball, but they have great feel around the green. I think they might be a little more expensive, but there on sale at most places since nike stopped making them. I use them when im not in a tournament or when im short on cash.

yeah i no about the premium ball category PRO V = Platinum and Pro V1x = black, buht the 1x is not as hard as the black and my dad let me have a sleeve from his bag, so i just decided to try them. I have tried the Pro V1 and they are too soft for me, the 1x are better, but they are still too soft. Thanks Iacas, and btw i did screw up my numbers in that thread about the wrong ball, the ball speed was lower, i have no clue what number i was reading, maybe a launch angle like 17.5* or something.

Up until about a week ago i had been playing the Nike One Platinum Golf Ball and Pro V1Xs, depending on how i felt. Both of those balls are great, but i felt like i was loosing distance and their performance around the green wasnt what i expected them to be. My iron shots were low and spinning too much at the green, not enough to spin back, but enough not to release. I was getting killed distance wise and my scores were up. So, i asked my pro what kind of ball i should be playing. He said i should try a harder ball and spoke highly of the Nike One Blacks, with the power transfer layer they have amazing feel around the green and they are LONG off the tee. The ball feels so good when you hit an iron and it goes high and lands softly. The spin rate surprised me also, since i played last years Blacks and couldnt get anything to stop, which is why i switched to the Platinums. The Nike One Blacks are the best ball on the market in my opinion. Yesterday, i was playing in a tournament and i had the blacks and the platinums with me. It was a 2 day event, and i decided to try the blacks, just to see how they performed. Wow, i shot 83 and an 80, placing in the top 30 in a tournament of 120 plus. With this golf ball, my handicap is on the way down. I highly recommend this ball to a high swing speed player (95 MPH+) who is looking for more distance off the tee and more control with their irons. However, if you're not able to spin the blacks, you should try the Platinums, which are also a great ball, but they are too soft for me.

I am 15 and my little brother is 11 and he needs some golf balls to play when we go on a trip to Ohio. He is an okay golfer, his swing is good, but hes a small kid so he doesnt hit the ball that far. I hit the nike one blacks, and i could give some of those to him, but last time i did, he hit worm burners with his wedges and he said it stung when he hit them. He just cant get the harder golf balls in the air cause his swing speed is so low. My dad plays Pro V1xs and he has had similar problems with those golf balls also. Could anyone recommend a high launch distance golf ball that has good feel for a high handicapper with a low swing speed? My brother will have a lot more fun if he hits the ball better.

Titleist Vokey Oil Can or Nike SV Tour Black Satin
Teedub7 replied to FlopShotArtist's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Despite what everyone is saying, the nike sv is a great wedge, but the vokey is also a great wedge. I own both of them, the SV in a 52 degree and the Vokey in the 56, i feel like i have more control with the SV, so the vokey is sitting in my garage while the 3 wood is enjoying my bag. The SV is in my bag, its in Tigers Bag, its in all the nike professional altheletes, which make it the most winningst wedge in golf, seriously. Titleist makes a better ball than they do a wedge. But u need to demo them. The SV is a lighter wedge while the vokey is heavier. Also, check out the new ping wedge, people have been raving about those. Its up to you.
