  1. I start with a base layer made by a real outdoor company ( www.patagonia.com ) - top and bottom. Next add socks by smartwool, and a mock t- neck by footjoy, and top it off with wool slacks and a vest (wool or wind blocking synthetic, depending on the weather). A pair of warm gloves for when you aren't swinging, and dont forget a coleman catalytic heater with the golf carg adapter (it fits in the cup holder).
  2. Paula gets my vote.
  3. Sergio is a spoiled punk....no two ways about it. His reaction to CHOKING at the Open Championship last year was the most embarrassing thing I have seen in pro golf. He can hit great shots...except whe n they count the most. Until he learns how to lose (and win) with grace and class, I will cheer for everyone else ....even Rory

  5. Oddly enough, I have both. They are both great clubs. However, the differences are significant. The SuperQuad will offer you a more "traditional" look , while th eburner if definietly of the newer "triangular" look. The Burner looks MUCH larger than the SQ, so if a leager head inspires mor econfidence in you, the I suggest the Burner. If you are more comfortable with a "traditional" look, try the SQ. Hope that helps. P.S. - The stock shaft in the Burner is noticeably lighter than anything else you will swing, so expect to swing it faster than other clubs..
  6. Hi, I'm Scott - 45 YO, been playing golf for 15 years. I play (hopefully) once per week. Im a member of a local club (Inverness CC), but have played most of the (great) public and semi private courses in Alabama. I am always in search of the "perfect" bag makeup - mpost recently I have added (finally) a 4 hybrid and (just this week) a 3 hybrid to replace my 7 wood. Ive been a mid teens handicapper for the last 5 years or so, but have recently started working with a coach whonhas made a huge difference for me. I am down to a 9.4 , and am hopeful of a 6 before the summer is out. Scott
  7. TaylorMade R7 TPs. In the last 2 1/2 years , Ive played Cleveland CG2, Titleist 755, Bridgestone J33, Nike Pro Combo Tours, and the TPs ( I know, thats a lot of changing - I guess I am fickle as can be.... I think Im set on the TaylorMade set for a while, tho. The CG2s were nice enough, the J33s were better than I was , as were the 755s. I liked the Nikes enough that I bought a spare set...and then I played the R7 TPs...they seem to be a perfect match for me and my game...

  9. I can highly recommend the SuperQuad. The stock shaft is not bad,but Ive replaced it with an Aldila NV and absolutely love the results.

  11. Let me offer a couple suggestions: (1) If getting the ball up from the deck is your main objective, my first suggestion (and I expect some snickers from the gallery) is to try one of the old Orlimar Trimetal fairway woods. The have a very low profile, and were originally marketed as being a fw wood that you could get in the air. YOu can get them on ebay for less than $50 each. (2) Another "used" option is the TaylorMade r5 series of fw woods. I have used both of these with great success from the fairway. As far as new options are concerned, Im currently using a Callaway Big Bertha 3 and 7 wood, and like them from the deck. I also agree with the post regarding the new Burners - they are nice. Finally, the Burner hybrids completely ROCK - I have 2 in my bag now, and they are the BEST hybrids Ive ever hit (very FW wood "looking". Hope that helps... Snap
