  1. when I go to the gym and do weight training and gain some muscle on my arms, chest, etc. it somehow affects my golf game and I start using those muscles to swing and basically I start using my arms only and my game sucks. It feels like I loose mobility. Anybody have specific exercises to help my game? that to me is more important than gaining muscle... Thanks
  2. Thats a good price I will order one. Should all the clubs have a similar swing weight?
  3. I most of the time hit my PXG 4H off the toe. I only struggle mostly with this type of club. I have tried a Ping and Titleist hybrid but end up with the same result. I have been forcing myself to use the PXG 4H because out of the rough it should be a better club to hit. I also noticed that the launch angle is very low it takes off like a 3FW. That I am not sure off that because of the limited resources we have on Guam. The shop does replace grips and shafts and that's about it. I had to fly to the Philippines to get fitted for my irons and at that it was not as thorough as the fittings I see on Youtube. I have been learning to do my own grips and shafts lately slowly gathering the tools needed.
  4. is there a way to check swing weight without some expensive machine? lately I shortened my driver and FW for more control now I have been changing the weights. As an example my driver used to have a 14g weight and it felt heavy after a while but I had more control. Then I replaced it with a 6 gram weight it felt comfortable and not heavy but seems like I had less control. Now I have replaced it with a 7g weight which I have not tried on the course. My PXG 4H feels heavy like the driver at the beginning. I also always struggled to hit a hybrid more than an iron.

  6. My driver is a 70 (s) Tour AD my FW is a 60 (s) Tour AD my irons are a 70 (r) Mitsubishi. Is it safe to say that I get a 75 (s) Tour AD for my 4 hybrid? right now it is a 70 (r) Fujikura and it feels heavy
  7. Does it matter where the tape goes? How much is the weight of the tape how much to put in? Sorry newbie here and not much resource on Guam for this kind of things
  8. Thank you, I have read about this the whole day and apparently what you said is the consensus. I have decided to have them cut to 44" driver, 42" 3 wood and 41" 5 wood. I hit that one long drive once in a while at the sweet spot but I tracked my drives and at best I am at 22% hitting the fairways and last time after shoulder and back rehab I'm down to 7% and struggle to control the club. I hope with these changes I will have more control. I will keep you posted on the results.
  9. I am 5'11" and have a bad shoulder and back. My driver is 45.125" my 3 wood is 43.375" my 5 wood id 42.75". The driver hits long but not very accurate and since my left shoulder is bad i tend to turn the club in right after impact thus creating a slice i feel like i cannot control the club in slowing down. The driver is a Titleist Tour issue 913 head and the shaft is a Tour AD 6s. Same feeling with the 3 wood it is also a 913 with a Tour Ad 7s. The 5 wood is a bit more comfortable a 910 with the same shaft as the 3 wood. Currently I can hit my 3 wood almost as long as the driver. Would it be beneficial for me to shorten the driver to 44.5" or 44" and the 3 and 5 2" shorter than the driver respectively? Is 2" too much? thanks
  10. How do you bend a Squareback Scotty? The toes stick up in the air a little when I putt
  11. I just like the control of the heavier feel
  12. I would but their support here is not that great and I don't know if I can send it to them. Nike has the best support system on Guam I bought a pair of TW13 shoes for my son and it leaked water inside when he would play and Nike just told me to return it to the store and they replaced it with a TW14 for free. The dots don't bother me at all I just think that for that price quality should be up there.
  13. No they are like a plastic they stick into the hole. It was given as a gift by my wife who bought it from a Golf USA store on Guam for $399 when they first came out. I wanted a 35 with the 15g weights but she got me a 35" with the 10g weights because they don't come standard with 15g weights in 35" length.
  14. I have a 2014 Scotty Squareback they are nice and balanced but not perfect. The 3 dots behind the face fell off already and they are less than 3 months old. So aftermarket stuff aint perfect so is the SC putters. I am trying to buy an aftermarket weight 15g plus a tool any recommendations? thanks
  15. Thanks I always thought the lie was incorrect 2 degrees upright
  16. Nice explanation! when i get tired i slice the ball and hit the ball towards the toe of my club on the woods. On the irons the divot is deeper at the toe.
  17. Is there a difference in the weights SC uses for their putters? I have a 2014 SC squareback and I would like to change the 10g weights to 15g or 20g weights? I do not mind if they are aftermarket as long as they fit. Any recommendations?
  18. My 3 fingers on my left hand hurt after I play if I use the standard size grip and a bit with the midsize. I bought initially lamkin oversize grips and my fingers don't hurt but I could feel the weight of those grips. Now I switched to the Winn Dri-Tac Wrap Lite and what a difference, I like it!
  19. I have a Callaway FTi driver with the Fujikura Speeder shaft which has a tip diameter of 0.35 now I also have a Taylormade R9 which has a different shaft with a tip diameter of 0.335. Is it possible for me to buy an 0.35 FCT and be able to have somebody transfer the shaft from my Callaway to my Taylormade R9? Does it make sense or should I just buy a shaft for my R9? Thanks,
