  1. Do you have any home made teaching aids? Here is one I read about: Practice putting with a D battery. Try putting it in a straight line, without hitting the edges of your battery.
  2. Interesting concept....I use 2 long tees tied to a 4 ft piece of twine that i keep in a baggie in my golf bag. It helps me with alignment on the driving range and on the putting green. Do you have any other ideas for other self-made golf aids?
  3. Has anyone purchased the Golfer's Toolbox that is being promoted by Jim McLean? Is it worth the money or is it another gimmick?
  4. Cornwall GCC http://www.cornwallgolf.com/
  5. I have a mat set up in my yard to practice chipping and pitching to short distances (10, 20, 30 yards) I bought a few hula hoops and use these as targets. I use drills to perfect my feel and technique.
  6. Here is a putting drill I like: 369 Place three balls in a row : 3, 6 and 9 feet from the hole. P utt until you make all three putts in succession. Miss and start over.
  7. When I go to the driving range, I try to play like being on the course. For example I use a differnet club for each shot : driver, 7 iron, wedge etc. I use my ball retreiver as an alignment stick and aim at a precise target. For each shot I go through my full preshot routine. I still have not mastered taking my range game to the golf course
  8. Ice cream on shit When you sink a 30 foot putt for an eight .
  9. If I am running from my car to the tee, i concentrate on a few baseball type swings . If I have 15 minutes to warm up, I do one chipping drill and one putting drill.
  10. Archery is the answer.
  11. Here is a golf drill I enjoy: Use 6 iron. Tee up the ball. Get into your address position. Move your right foot beside the left foot (both feet touching.) Stride forward with your right foot (for lefties). Make a forward step while the golf club is still coming back.
  12. Do you know an easy way to fix (touch up) the club. I also suffer from "Crownitis"
  13. Here is one drill that will help you with your irons: Place a head cover under your right arm pit (for lefties) Tee the ball up. Start practicing with small swings. Finish your practice session with 3/4 swings.
  14. I choose specific golf drills that help me improve. I will work on a specific drill for approximately 10 minutes, then I move on to another drill. I practice with a purpose and I go to the range to have fun. I spend an hour on the range.
  15. I sometimes get a Barkie..... I get a par after hitting a tree or going into the woods.
