  1. So far I've replaced my Driver (TaylorMade Tour Burner TP was Ping G10), 3 wood (R9 TP was Cleveland HiBore) and Gap Wedge (added the AW to match irons, was 52° Vokey). Next up I'm looking to get a new bag (cart bag) and probably a push cart. With that, I believe I'll be quite satisfied with my gear. That's all folks...
  2. I suppose I am to a point. But it's not due to love for a certain company. I just really like the looks of the clubs that I've purchased. My bag used to have a large variety in it (Ping, TaylorMade, Cleveland, Mizuno, Callaway, Titleist & Maxfli all at the same time). I decided that I wanted consistancy in what I was looking at at address and really liked the look, feel and performance of my TaylorMade so that is the direction that I went.
  3. White only for me. I've never thought that the yellow/green balls were any more visible than the white. There is a guy at my home course that uses the yellow/green balls. He's legally blind. I'm not sure of the color of car that he drives to and from the course....guessing it has to be yellow too.
  4. Wow....hard to believe it's been 14 years since I was in this same situation....doesn't seem that long ago. I am currently doing exactly what I'd found held my interest while I was in high school. However....I ended up working working in restaurants/bars and the manufacturing industry for about four years before finally going to school. My reasons for waiting are because I knew I wasn't mature enough to stay focused enough on my studies and because I had to pay for my own schooling and support myself while doing so. I have now been in my current field for about 7 years and have not regretted a day of work in that time. It's very rewarding to actually do what it is that you enjoy doing for a living.
  5. I think it's after impact. As I see it.... Impact: Launch: Bottom (the ball is gone and the club head is going through the turf...which it wasn't at impact):
  6. Sure....they may not have. But that's the case in any situation such as this. They didn't pay him solely based on who he is as a person. They dumped him because of his private life yes....didn't hire him because of that.
  7. The comparison is that their endorsement deals are only because of what they do as an athelete...not what they do outside of their profession. Their lives outside of their profession can obviously effect these deals but you'd made the assertion that these deals that Tiger had were based on more than what he has done as an athelete....and you continue to put spin on it. A lot of his deals came well before the family....so in reality, if your equation is true (multicultural/global appeal + competitive/talented + family value with kids and wife + role model for kids with foundation = endorsement contracts)....his deals were based off of 3 of your 4 components and is now missing....one?
  8. I made no mention of his advertisers flocking back. Do I think every single one of them will? No. Do I care? Nope. I saw your post, the quoted portion made no sense to me so I commented on it. Simple as that.
  9. Tigers image is what advertisers would die for because his image is that of a winner, a champion....because he kicks ass in his arena. If you say it's based on his persona....of which was one of a very private person....then that makes no sense. Michael Jordan didn't get his endorsements based on anything other than being the best in basketball... Wayne Gretzky in hockey....Bo Jackson for a very short time in Football and now Peyton Manning. Once Jordan went to baseball.....he didn't retain all of his endorsement deals. Why? Because he wasn't the best at anything any longer.
  10. Google Chrome at Home and IE8 at work (not by choice). May look to switch to Chrome at work soon.
  11. Golf pride new decade multi compound. Great grips! durable, great feel, great grip in any weather and not hard like what i'd experienced with full chords.
  12. Similarly - Gatorade: "Is it in you?"
  13. My front foot stays down through impact unless I really try to kill the ball (jump through the swing). My back foot is up a bit early. A friend of mine does some goofy front foot lifting deal....not sure where he picked that up at but it's intentional. I'm always having to tell him to keep it down....doesn't happen though. I even tried laying down behind him and holding it down. Have since given up on him.
  14. Transgressions toward his family....not the law. Violation of law in the definition is not reserved for legislated law. Could be used as Violation of self governance. Transgress - 1 : to go beyond limits set or prescribed by : violate 2 : to pass beyond or go over (a limit or boundary) He's apologizing for going beyond the boundaries of his family and his values.
  15. I think the key word in his statement is "transgressions" (an act of transgressing; violation of a law, command, etc.; sin). Basically, it means that he went outside the boundaries of his family. I think his family is fairly accustomed to a media storm....
  16. Hilarious!
  17. Congrats! Definite cutie.
  18. Steelers fans are certainly lucky to have such an organization as "their" team. UC looking good! As are the Bengals. If these two teams meat again....I really hope that it is a much better game. This last one was good defensively....but at least one offensive touchdown would be nice.
  19. I give the Bengals plenty of credit....they are a decent team this season. But their reputation has made it hard to just hand the division to them half way through the season.....not that I would if they were the Colts or Patriots. It's ridiculous to do so....especially in todays NFL. Congrats to them so far but there are seven games left... You can't say that it did either? Noone knows....never will. It's 2009....not 2005. Kitna was 24 of 40 passing for almost 200 yds and a touchdown and ran for 25 yds on 4 carries. Not Manning stats but not bad. Add that 66 yd pass that Palmer through....pretty decent game by the Bengals....and both quarterbacks. Just not enough that day. The Steelers are not as heavily reliant on their quarterback (Ben) as many teams....the Bengals included. They've won many games with their "backup" playing the entire game.....whether it was Batch, Maddox, Ben, O'Donnell, Tomczak, etc....
  20. Kitna definitely played well enough to where Palmer being out wasn't the reason the Steelers won that game. He was pretty solid. However, if something does happen to Palmer this season....I'm not sure that offense functions so well. They really didn't even do anything yesterday. The Bengals don't have the AFC North wrapped up yet. Their next three weeks look to be cupcake but they still have to play the Vikings and Chargers. "You want to crown their asses....then crown their asses." But don't forget.....there are 7 weeks of scheduled games remaining.
  21. In my opinion any golfer can benefit from it. I really wouldn't call it an "advanced" training aid. As I'd stated, it's quite simple and makes perfect sense.
  22. This is something that I am always getting harped on when I play with better golfers. "Joe, you're going too long with your back swing.", "Joe, you're backswing....blah, blah, blah...". My reply was always "Oh....it's not that bad....nowhere near as bad as it used to be." or "I've reduced it considerably since last year.", etc... Well....as it turns out....Erik had me put this device on while at the range and WOW! I could not believe how much it reduced my backswing. And while wearing it, my ball striking was much better. I will likely be getting one of these myself as I am often told that this area is the root of many of my ball striking problems. One of the brightest training aids I've seen. It's simple and it makes so much sense.
  23. I carry a 3 wood but really only use if off the tee. Have hit it out of the fairway probably 2 times this year.....max. If I'm 200+ out I prefer to hit my 17° hybrid. 180-200 out is my 21° hybrid. I don't carry a 5 wood.
