  1. 1) No mosquitoes or gnats 2) No un or under-repaired ball marks on the greens 3) Better sand on my home course Like others have said, to wish for too much would ruin the game for you...
  2. On the tee, I practice behind the ball. In the fairway (or rough), I practice next to the ball - 6 inches closer - then step-up and hit.
  3. No, but I've thrown my hat. Usually I just laugh at myself - I try not to be one of "those" people who blow their stack on the course. That just makes everyone else uncomfortable.
  4. I have no problem with the long putter. It'll just make it that much sweeter when I putt your ass into the ground with my weird-looking antique. Last season I had to steel wool the shaft to remove some rust.
  5. The only wood I carry is a driver. I get 225 from my 4-iron (the magic club) and I just can't find the need to stock one...
  6. I voted Titleist because I love my new irons. AND I've already started the season six strokes better than my last season start - hopefully a good omen. I did buy a box of Pro V1x to see what they're like, and I wish I had just bought a sleeve. Maybe I'm not "advanced" enough to enjoy the benefits, but I'm just not seein' it yet... I'll go back to the $20/dozen balls and leave it at that. At least until I get those sponsorship deals...
  7. Advil. Otherwise, Tylenol. I usually exceed the recommended dosage (shh, don't tell anyone) and take three minimum or 4 for worse pain.
  8. I don't use a hybrid - I generally hit my long irons well enough to have never shopped for one... But, since there is an empty spot in the bag, maybe I should reconsider...
  9. Just hit it like you know you can - remember to turn-off a brain that's malfunctioning... When I approach the tee of a long par-3 I set-up, blast it to the green, and walk away. The other three guys in the foursome look at me like they want me to take them to bed. But that's just how I do it... :)
  10. For 30 yards: 60 degree lob wedge, ball in the center, 60% swing, accelerate-through, square at contact, break wrists as normal... See how that gets you and adjust the speed as necessary
  11. I voted "chipping net," but my net is actually a empty 5-gallon paint bucket. When I've scratched a ball on the course it ends-up in my bucket, and I use that to practice. I'll dump the whole thing (it's getting heavier every season) and then move the bucket ~20 yards away and chip and chip and chip... No wonder my short game has been bankable the past few years!
  12. I use the 9.5 because I normally get a lot of height off the tee - anything higher, and I'd be knocking planes from the sky :) TaylorMade R5 Dual (draw)
  13. I loves me my Ogio Grom stand bag. I got it at Dick's Sporting goods last summer - I was joining a league for the first time, and wanted something I could carry week after week. I love it. It's got everything you need, and nothing you don't...
  14. I just bought a set of Titleist 735CMs from eBay, and they're perfect so far (they just arrived yesterday and it's winter - I'll know more about their perfection in a month or so...). I got them for $385 (3-PW Stainless). To me, that's a good deal.
