Guys, I am looking for anyone that has played or is playing the X2 Hot Irons. Both my son and I have been looking at them and taking every chance to try them in the store. I even have a set on order to replace my G25's but have been really thinking if I want to make this change. The irons will not go to waste if I don't keep them, my son will play them we have the same set up in the way of grip and lye. So any review I could get or like I said the good or bad you have had with them would be appreciated. thanks

Last (Golf) Thing You Bought?

Ordered a new set of irons last night, X2Hot with steal shafts, funny when fitted my swing had changed from 2 years ago lye was 1.5* up to now standard. But I did have to order with a two wrap on the grips. Still not sure what I will play for my wedges I was using Pings but I assume will make the change on them also. -
Funny I had that this past weekend, started off with a triple, par, triple, par, bogey, it went like this the whole round. Never got a birdie, tossed the card on the back 9 and just had fun.

So Much For New Irons....ARGH!!!!!! Slight Rant
hacker101 replied to Hammer 4's topic in The Grill Room
That is really all that matter, I had a beautiful dodge, all black 4 door, 6" CST lift, shocked, 36" tires, 18" monsters. Everyone that saw it loved it but at $150 plus a week in gas the fun ran out fast. So it is all relative at this point., hope this fixes the issues for awhile. -

Golf is a dying. How to make it more popular!

One thing I have found in the last few weeks a lot of courses do not offer Jr rates until 12:00 or later. Or they don't offer at all on the weekends. My son and I play every week so to play some what nice course is $48 on up per person. Compound this with lessons, range cards, balls it can add up. I would assume a young family just cant afford this, and it seems some of the courses would rather not have kids play? But Lihu I would agree that if a course offered more of a family value you may find more family's playing, I would think this would help grow the game. -
Crim are you sure you did not just get mad and try to beat the ball into the ground, that is one big dent?

I have the same one and color, the only issue I had with mine was the rubber grip came apart. I assume it was from the sun. GS replaced with a new one but I would say if anything put a towel on it when sitting in the sun. Other then that it is a great unit. -
Just a short update, we played at Fullerton Sunday, Adam still had to rent clubs but I have been letting him use my Driver. He shot a legit count every drop, shot, out of bounds 113. Adam is the one putting.

How cool is this, if it was for me from my son it would be hung up so everyone could see it and I could say how cool my son was to do this for me. Way to go, look forward to seeing the final product. -
Last min deal or we would have. Will PM you to see what you all are doing next Sunday.

Follow up from Sunday, Adam shot a 123 at Santa Anita Sunday, being 6'4"and renting clubs I am sure did not help any. In two weeks when he is back from NY we will be taking him down to get his first set of used clubs and have then extended. With the course very empty yesterday morning we helped him with putting, ball placement as well as what club to use. This was a little challenging since we did not know how far he could hit each club so we used a general distance. Still he had a good time and counted every stroke, fun part was seeing him on many of the par 4's in 3.

Get yourself on a monitor, try all the drivers out there and narrow it down to a couple before you make up your mind. My father in Law, son and myself all play a G25 driver and love it but that does not mean it is for everyone. I did try the JetSpeed about a month ago did not see any improvement or extra distance so I keep what I had.

My new guy has not found any lessons yet in his area but we are playing Sunday again. He is still renting but that will come to an end once we both have time to hit Rodger Dunns. I also have been telling in of our pending SD trip I am sure he will be in and joining the Sand Trap.

Which wedges are a must have in my bag?
hacker101 replied to cnl390's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I have a full set of G25 irons and use everyone of them, they are great. The reason I went this way to keep the swing weight and look the same no other reason. My son plays Vokey's my father in law plays Cleveland, if you like the G25's and they work for you then get them. -
Guys, I have a friend Adam that I will pledge to help create a golfer. He is from Long Island and is moving to Los Angeles, he only plays once or twice a year but will be playing with us this Sunday and would like to be included on our weekly game. We will be also heading down to Rodger Dunn in the next week or so to get him clubs, currently he is renting from the courses. We will also be looking for lessons in his area (Redlands) but he will be moving to Chino once his wife is able to get there house on Long Island ready to sell. He has no friends out here but me so I will be giving him all the TST information so he can also join in outing as well as this forum.
