  1. The 558yd Par 5 12th at WindRiver Golf Club, Lenoir City, Tennessee. The climb from the landing area off the tee to the green is over one hundred feet.
  2. My club's logo located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Too ambivalent?
  3. It is still relatively new but the photos I've seen of Sequoyah are intriguing. There has to be a ton of relief. Grove Park Inn offers some midweek stay and play packages but I don know if the seafood is included. Willow Creek has a couple of screwy holes with less than distinct or intuitive landing areas but overall it's a nice track. Wind River, formerly Rarity Pointe, is one of my favorites in the area. It is worth the trip if you haven't played it.
  4. I'm not sure how to get on at TN National though I have not tried. They were having trouble attracting buyers so it may not be that difficult. Willow Creek is really nice and is maintained like a private course. They are a ways from you but the courses at Tellico are gorgeous in the spring. Rarity Bay is in great condition although there are a few houses in play... for me anyways. I need to get up to Sevierville and try those two and Gatlinburg Golf Course. Have any of the group been over to play Sequoyah National? Thinking of making a trip to play there and Grove Park this summer.
  5. I played Three Ridges for the first time back in the fall and really enjoyed it. The greens are challenging and the layout keeps it interesting. The only hole I found a bit quirky was the Par 4 11th but that is a minor critique. Now that I've seen it I plan to return when spring arrives. River Islands is a steal at $22 right now for their winter rate.
  6. It's gotta be the dimples...
  7. In regards to Charleston, COAST is fantastic. It is north of Calhoun Street but definitely worth finding. Pearlz Oyster Bar on E. Bay is really good and they usually have Happy Hour specials. For breakfast, Hominy Grill is hard to beat.
  8. This becomes even stranger when compared to any other professional sport. How would it be for a pitcher's significant other to stand between the mound and second base? A jockey with his wife seated behind the saddle? Again, the operative word is "profession".
  9. I have sampled a couple of batches of the Aberlour A'bunadh the last couple years and really enjoyed it. Most recently, I tried the Laphroaig 10 Year Cask Strength. It is almost like drinking a campfire doused in honey...
  10. Great pics. PGA West looks to be in immaculate condition. It is always interesting to see the varied compositions of the tour players' bags.
  11. Howdy! I am a soil scientist for an environmental consulting firm and I really dig golf courses. Sort of a dirty joke there.
  12. RTJ Grand National-Lake Course #3 RTJ Grand National-Lake Course #5
  13. I will gladly and willingly participate.
  14. I like #4, as well. I find that concentrating upon the muscles that are engaged in each position of the swing and holding those static positions is quite beneficial to me.
  15. Same here though I have been confined to the range for the last month or so. Heading to Crossville for a couple of rounds this weekend. It will be my first venture to Fairfield Glade. Have you been up there?
  16. I have played at Dead Horse several times over the past year but I also venture to a lot of other courses in the area. WindRiver, formerly know as Rarity Pointe, has become a favorite. The have done some renovation to the bunkering at Centennial that will surely be an improvement. River Islands is another good one but is usually a little crowded. You can generally find pretty good deals on GolfNow for each of them. I haven't been to Three Ridges but I hear good things about it. The Wee Course seems like an ideal spot to work on the iron game. We are fortunate to have some really good options.
  17. A fellow East Tennessean here. I can hardly wait for the warmer days we have on the way. Will you have the opportunity to get out?
  18. Registered to win.
  19. PING G20 Driver 8.5* TFC 169D Tour Stiff Shaft Two (2) dozen Titleist NXT Tour S SKLZ Mens Smart Golf Glove SKLZ Golf Swing Accelerator Iron Nike Polo and Pants Ball Mark Repair Tool Tees I haven't had a chance to really try the training aids as yet but the concepts seem reasonable. We shall see.
