  1. I voted for $70 and up, I only buy the finest threads. I can be seen in the best clothing on the golf course on any given day. I dare not dress like a fool, I look the sexiest in my clothing, a god among men.
  2. Negitive, There are many tip sizes, .335 and .350 are the most common ones, not always compatible. Take the shafts to a golf shop and they will help you out. Or even check out some websites on the shaft and the driver to try to get a match if you are still shopping around.
  3. Super hard read for a lefty (me), I picked up most of the lessons, but some of the information I know passed me by. The info on the grip, stance and posture is totally worth it. I particularly liked the breakdown of the swing: Hands, Arms, Shoulders, Hips.......Hips, Shoulders, Arms, Hands
  4. My home course: Par 71 I have birdied every hole with eagles on holes 1, 3, 4, 5, 9 putting me at 23 under All time best ball is 48! This season's is 51.
  5. Lower your scoring average to around 67-68.

    Scratch Golf

I achieved a 0 index this season, I have been playing for almost 10 years before I reached 0! I really can't remember exactly when I started.... I rarely practice, but I have to be playing almost everyday to be able to keep my handicap down. It takes playing everyday to keep my short game sharp, even a few days off and I will be rusty with the short game.

I would like some feedback from some of the best players here, if you could answer my questions that would be awesome! In a few sentences just sum up some of the keys along the way that allowed you to achieve a 0 hcp. How long did it take you to become scratch? (or better) Do you have any new goals in golf? please feel free to comment further, Cheers!
  8. Highlands Links, Cape Breton , Nova Scotia, Canada http://www.highlandslinksgolf.com/welcome.html What a beauty, I can't wait to get back there!
  9. What was Hogan's swing speed? I am hoping this book will help me achieve a higher swing speed and ball speed.
  10. Hogan must have not wanted and ace badly enough, he settled for winning three majors in a year....
  11. Lob Wedge - please don't swing full at a lob wedge! Sand Wedge -105 Gap Wedge - 115 Pitching Wedge - 130 9 Iron - 145 8 Iron -160 7 Iron - 175 6 Iron - 185 5 Iron - 195 4 Iron - 210 3 Iron - 220 This is roughly my distances on any any given day. Just to point out: 100 yds - I like the SW or GW, I always club down and swing easier with short irons 150 yds - 9,8,7 depending on wind conditions 175 yds - 7 or 6 irons 200 yds - sometimes the 6, but usually 5 or 4
  12. I am getting sick of carrying my bag, I have two carry bags, both titleist. I have the sunday pencil bag and a regular size carry one. A three wheel cart seems to be the new thing, maybe I will invest in one?!
  13. Thank you! This book is so great though, I am only through 3 chapters so far. It helped so much on my grip, stance and posture already, I have been practicing it. I have a swing speed around 110mph and am hoping to improve on that with these great tips. I was able to get to a low handicap without any teaching, hopefully this book will unlock some secrets for me and I can take my game to a higher level.
  14. Ben Hogan is the man. I was watching on tv last night that he didnt even see his playing partner get a hole in one at the masters one time. He was too focused!
  15. Currently Reading it, Great instruction. I am learning so much about the fundamentals. Althought I have a tough time following when he goes into great detail b/c I am a lefty and get SUPER confused when hes talking about right and left, hips, shoulders, hands etc... I have grasped the important things he is stressing, which is the most important part, but I usually just skim over the sections that get too much in detail about the left and right like I said. For those who have read it you know what Im talking about and Im sure its a much easier read for those righties of the world. Cheers!
  16. I am not going to be putting golf balls that are bricks with the scotty is what I meant.
  17. Theres no such thing as something that "should" happen. If your ball is not there, its just not there.....take the pentaly strokes
  18. There is a difference in golf balls, With the prov1 it gives you about 10 more yards off the tee on a regular tee shot. A good ball is the NXT, or NXT tour by titleist, a good price and a great feeling ball. Generally it will not make that much of a difference but when you upgrade the the proV you will definatly notice the difference.

Whooooooooooa! Intense! Got my first scotty yesterday oh snap ! I'm the man
  20. Scotty aquired! I am pumped about it, it feels so good, using the proV is a must now, theres no point to be hitting anything else with a scotty cameron.
  21. That old man is a joke straight up, the hammer is also a joke of a person. The hammer claims to fly the ball 400+ consistently......??? I don't think so.... hahah what a clown Tiger Woods would give Zuback a run, I believe, but Tiger plays the game for a reason, not just to mash golf balls.
  22. Gettin my first scotty cameron today! Newport 2, Lefty, 34" beauty!

    hahahahah Classic!
  24. Bending metal weakens it, its just a fact. I am taking engineering in school and have taken courses in statics and metal working. Depending on how much you bend the metal it will weaken it. Now, a degree or two may weaken it, but it might not be enough to make a noticeble difference in the short term. Clubs are made a certain way for a reason tho, like I said before, it's better to special order your clubs to fit you, than have someone mess around with them after you own the clubs. Ping seems to have the right idea, they fit you before you buy a set, and make them to fit you. I won't be letting anyone bend my clubs. Tour players bend their clubs because they dont pay for them..? Just my two cents...
