  1. Well...we are two races in, and I have to say it looks like it's going to be a Red Bull season. However, it should be interesting to see who comes out of the pack in the middle of the grid.
  2. I don't hit that many balls, but I sure do enjoy when we finally "spring ahead" and I can get nine holes in after work once or twice a week. It improves my game but does much more for my mental well-being. It flushes out my brain.
  3. I may be wrong but isn't this much ado about nothing when it comes to the armature game? I s there going to be some option if an armature wants to play the rolled back ball?
  4. I actually tuned in on Saturday and for the first 10 minutes, they had no audio. Talk about a bad omen. I watched a little on Sunday and it just isn't that interesting. Far more intriguing stories coming out of the Honda. I saw a post on Facebook from a LIV supporter talking about the lousy leaderboard at Honda. Like Charles Howell and Peter Uihlein is so much better? Paul Casey? At least the Honda guys had something to play for. Watching some of those LIV guys, it just looks like they really don't care. I'm wondering if some of the "hype" and new formats has kinda run its course. No new big names this year.
  5. After having watched the whole thing, I would say it was pretty good. Some episodes I liked better than others (Brooks, Finau and Joel D). Didn't like the Poulter one. The thing I kind of got from it was they started to show some things that got me interested (Jordan shooting the commercial, Joel D's caddy talking about $ etc.) but they just sort of moved past it quickly unfortunately. I wish there was a little bit more of that kind of content. BTW....what's with the swing in Brooks Koepka's bedroom?
  6. I had Raiders and Boogie Nights but got push back. I guess I should clarify, we had to pick only our top 5.
  7. So, me and boys are sitting around Sunday after we played all of 9 holes (weather) and having some beverages and got into a heated conversation about the best movies of all time. After about an hour of back and forth we agreed on the following movies being top 5 of all time: 1. Shawshank Redemption 2. Fight Club 3. The Empire Strikes Back We could not agree on anymore. These come from a group (this week) of 6 ranging in age from 29-59. Probably why we couldn't agree on any others. Would love to hear from anyone else who has an opinion. Maybe you can come up with some we just couldn't remember?
  8. I actually bought the Bucktown and went back and bought the Windy City. Have two Scotty’s sitting in the closet. My Futura 5 is slightly lighter than the Bucktown but i have an easier time lining up the Bucktown.
  9. Playing around with some putters at the local big box golf store about a month ago and was sorta in the market for a mallet putter. Tried a bunch of them and settled on the Wilson. I figured for the price the if I did not like it, I wouldn't go broke and feel like I threw money away. Now I have only used it for a couple weeks, but I have to say, this putter works as good or better than any other mallet putter, I have tried. Not trying to push any product here but I have a buddy who uses one also, and he is very happy with his (Blade putter). Just putting it out there if anyone is in the market for one. Don't let the price fool you.
  10. Yea I get it. I am a huge opponent of slow play so I can't say that I would blame them. But you would think...once a year? Phoenix is elevated. Would you rather play Pebble Beach or TPC Scottsdale? That's an easy choice for me. Hell...the Palm Springs courses are better than that piece of crap in Scottsdale.
  11. I guess I'm going to vent a little bit here because I'm not understanding why the tour is not really giving a crap about the "Bob Hope" and the "The Crosby Clambake", because back in the 80's these used to be two of the biggest tournaments on the Tour. Maybe I'm just turning into an old man, but the fields that these tournaments used to get where the some of the best of the season. I'm speculating that once Bob Hope passed away, a lot of the tour players. figured they could now not show up and won't piss anyone off? I kinda see the same thing going on at Bay Hill the past few years (I've actually heard a lot of tour guys don't like the course). I'm wondering if it's a "I don't like the format" or "I don't like the golf course(s) kind of thing or what? They all have big time sponsors, who I can't believe are okay with the tour not helping them out somehow (I know that the Palmer is an "elevated" event this year). I'm being selfish with this, but I always really enjoyed watching the guys play with celebrities in sunny California because we were sitting in two feet of snow whishing, we could be out there playing. I suppose it's just something that is not as popular anymore (Pro Am)? The Hope and the Clambake used to get a ton of movie stars, athletes, entertainers etc. Maybe it's a generational thing?
  12. Being as big of fan of "Drive to Survive", I hope "Full Swing" works. I am, however, going in with low expectations. Not sure if this will work as well as F1.
  13. Barefoot as much as possible. I'm a phys. ed teacher so I can't wait to take off my shoes when I get home. Slides sometimes around the house.
  14. I played Pebble in the early 90's and it was about the same price (I want to say it was $150 bucks). I walked the course carrying my own bag. We played late in the day during the summer (July) and the greens were really beat up. Bumpy and slow. Beautiful course but just was a little disappointed in the conditions. Not sure I would drop the cash to play it again.
  15. Growing up a Browns fan, I absolutely hate the Steelers. But I have to give respect to those teams. Franco (among other Steelers) would kill the Browns every year. Great player.
  16. What about this one? Amazon.com
  17. I played Pebble Beach years ago and left feeling....
  18. So we are once again sitting around and having a couple beverages on Sunday after our round and the topic of my trip (wife and I) to Hilton Head came up. I told them all the courses we played and what we spent to play Harbor Town specifically. One of the group said he would never spend that much money to play golf (no matter what the golf course). This, of course, led to a long debate about how much each of us was willing to spend to play a round of golf. I actually think that it did cost too much to play Harbor Town but I enjoyed the round and the caddie was helpful. My wife actually wanted to play there more than I did. That round of golf for two cost just north of $700.00 bucks. How much are you willing to spend?
  19. The thing that surprises me about the podcast is the fact that Bobby B is so willing to throw out information that he hears (or is told)? You would think at some point, everyone would stop talking to him because there is a good chance it ends up on the podcast.
  20. How about Phil "retiring" after this season (or the next) and Patrick Cantlay taking over as the team captain?
  21. He didn't want to spoil it for me because I hadn't listened to that one yet. It's actually a good pod cast from the few that I have heard so far. Lots of good "inside" information about players and tours etc...
  22. According to the podcast, PP getting 10 million up front is BS. That was just put out there to entice other players to join LIV. I had never listened to that podcast before, but I think I will start listening to it more often. I'm not sure how reliable some of the sources are, but it sounds like they have some insight into the tour. The whole story about PP and the caddie was pretty funny/ridiculous. The comments made about Pat Perez's character are pretty funny. I'm not trying to "plug" the podcast but it's worth a listen.
  23. I read somewhere where Alan Shipnick knew this story but didn't put it in the book. I guess he couldn't get it verified from a reliable source. It sounds to me like PP has pretty much verified it. You would think it would be uncomfortable playing on the LIV tour together?
  24. I have seen a couple articles that relate to this but haven't heard (or read) anything else. Has anyone else gotten any more information on the "Feud"? Am I late to the party? Report: Details of Mickelson’s ‘deeply offensive’ act against Pat Perez are ‘so inflammatory’ Rumors have been swirling about a feud between two of LIV Golf’s most polarizing players. Related: Pat Perez reveals his ‘hatred’ of Phil Mickelson after Lefty committed ‘unforgivable’ act According to Pat Perez, Phil...
