Purchased one of these yesterday 22 degree loft. Hit it very well I must say. Couple of absolute crackers from about 200 yards that I was delighted with, seems a very good club.

He SMS'd me to say he is going for a custom fitting this weekend of a 4,5 and 6 iron of AP1 and a 7,8, 9 and PW of the AP2. Reckon that would be a nice iron combo.

One of my friends is looking to upgrade to one of these sets of irons from his Nike CCi cavs. He plays of around 12, if he played more could probably make mid single figures. Reckon he needs to improve his 5 and 6 iron but enjoys the CCis on the whole. For this reason I said the AP1 irons would be a good choice as they are a nice balance between enhancement and improvement clubs. He has looked at the VR's and S57 also and has indicated he will get them custom fitted. What would you recommend?

Els is playing in Munich at the BMW guys. He shot 70 yesterday. Justin Rose is swinging so good now and the putter is working well, hopefully close to his 2007 form again. Very talented player on his day.

Agree with this also. Just becauuse they aren't sprayed up like an emerald like all the other tournies it doesn't mean they aren't good greens. I liked how they looked, marble effect is so 2010.

I'm struggling with some of the posts here tbh. Golf is now very much a global game, most players inside the top 20 in the world rankings are genuine dual tour players except maybe Tiger, Stricker, Furyk and Phil. The PGA has more money it always has, always will but the top players enjoy testing thhemselves against different players each week. McDowell, I would imagine will very much follow the trend of Luke Donald and Paul Casey and play the big events on both tours. The events that offer the most ranking points as they have the strongest fields.

Just enjoy the golf, I wouldn't worry about who to support, just support good golf. Hopefully the fourballs will bring some better play today. Not the greatest course for matchplay due to the lack of bunkers imo.

Love the titleist fw's myself, the callaway ft is good too, as is the mizuno f60 and the sasquatch is popular so musn't be bad.

My girl is away on holiday for a few days with her family and she just called and said there is a shop next to her hotel selling these for £70. I've never seen them in the flesh before but I have heard a lot of good things. I'm in the market for a 21 degree hyrbrid and had whittled it down to a Titleist 909, a Titleist 585 or a Callaway FT, all are priced a lot more than this baffler. Should I tell her to buy.

I have the 5 wood in my usual set and the 3 wood at my holiday home. Really like them. Have you thought about the F4, more forgiving for you perhaps.

the 5.5 is a stiff butt with a medium tip I think.

sorry me bad I was reading whilst writing a report I didn't notice the TOUR bit. I played a round with the Tour's at St Andrew's Bay and really liked them. The one's I had were fitted with 6.0's and I liked the ball flight, I have a very fast swing though. And in relation to the 'if I were you' - the uniflex is an excellent shaft, ok it doesn't apply to you as you aren't after x20's but it would certainly mean you never had to worry about stiff, soft, swing speeds etc. No dig on my part dude.

x20's come with uniflex as the stock shaft I'd stivck with them if I was you.
