  1. Did you do this? and if so what did you decide on
  2. I did not do a full on Driver fitting but when I did my iron fitting we were able to swap heads and shafts and I really loved that system because it left no doubt... I hit some drivers on the monitor before deciding on my current one but didnt even think about shaft options...
  3. My biggest issue is that I have no real way to test the shafts. I have been to puetz and been fitted there before but when it comes to shafts I'm not sure what to do. Should I try and find some place with an option of testing or will it come down to a shot in the dark at the end?
  4. To give a bit more information without any numbers in front of me I am mostly looking for a low launch/ mid launch with mid spin because the conditions tend to be a bit mushy in Seattle from time to time... I like the look of the AD BB though and it sounds awesome... I just cant find a place to hit any of these.
  5. Hello people of The Sand Trap! My question today involves Aftermarket Driver shafts as the title states. I am a High School golfer and I am looking to get a shaft that will pass from driver to driver with me. I realize that shafts can only do so much but I would like to know that I have a shaft that is perfect for me. I guess my question becomes a 2 part one. My first question is what do you recommend for someone with a swing speed of around 103-105 and rising? Also how do you use one shaft multiple times with different drivers since different companies use different tips? Anything helps! Thanks guys!
  6. I thought the regular would be $399 and the alpha would be $499
  7. Those are some great distances... Wish I could hit my 3 wood like that more often...
  8. That is great customer service! I know that ping has incredible customer service and can do almost anything under the sun for next to nothing...
  9. I match your size and specs but am considering going to a 34". I know a guy who is 6'4 and uses my specs but in 33 inches and a guy who is 5'8 and has 3 degrees flat and 37 inches. I guess it's just whatever works.
  10. The big bertha alpha looks hot. I want it in my bag. Lets see if I can save up... $500 is alot
  11. GO HAWKS
  12. Have you tried the ultraslim from superstrokegolf?
  13. The big grips are meant to take your hands out of the stroke and eliminate the yips but they take away feel on long putts. The normal style allows your hands to move on short putts but you get better feel on long putts. Hope this helps
  14. I'm with you on this one. Dings on irons are like divots. If you are a good player you can't avoid them.
  15. Congrats! Getting new irons (or new clubs in general) is always exciting. I hope they work out well for you and help you to many great rounds!
  16. I love creating shots which makes the 3 wedge setup suit me more. I love to hit little finesse shots and I actually had a vokey 46 before this new set and that was awesome. I think that for me the best way to shave strokes off will be to hit more greens from long range which is why I am maximizing my options for 200+
  17. I have the 3 deep myself and that thing just bombs it. I'm with you. The 3 wood is fine. As much as I love new clubs I think as a high handicapper maybe 1 year of "advancements" won't make almost any difference in your scoring.
  18. I just got a full set of Mp-64's and find forgiveness not to be an issue. They are the kind of set in which if you can hit the 6 iron you can hit the 3 iron... Assuming you can get it in the air!
  19. That's always a good idea! Many times it is the Indian and not the arrow
  20. The callaway x hots are one of the longest 3 woods out there. Make sure you test clubs though because you may get different results. Most likely to get more distance you should decrease loft.
  21. Personally I don't care for project x shafts because they feel harsh. This is just me. Make sure you demo all of the options before making a final decision! Would love to hear what you decide
  22. Since I just got new irons I am considering putting a 3 iron back in the bag along with a new hybrid. This will mean I have to eliminate a club. I think I will most likely go with 46 (standard set pitching wedge) 54 and 60
  23. If you want a 3 wood that is purely going to be used off the tee you may want to look at the Xhot 3 deep. Or the ping karsten. Also don't rule out the possibility of a 12 or higher degree driver. As Tom Wishon has said having an accuracy driver is not a bad idea. I know that the sldr will be offered in 14 degrees of loft which could be perfect... Let me know if I can help any further
  24. Is it just me or do the Apex Pro irons look a bit chunky for a true players iron?
  25. Weather Is not great in Seattle but I play regardless
