  1. Footjoy StaSof or Titleist Players series feel best to me.
  2. Anyone see pavin working the ball this past week the final day with couples and price? Good lord, left to right, right to left, high and low. I loved the low shots he was hitting. I have always loved him but I never realized how much he moves it at will. WOW. What a shotmaker!
  3. Adidas FitRX are good. Not sure if they are still around though.
  4. I have 2 sets of Wilson's from the 80's. One set is in mint shape but my 'player' set I always go back to are not mint but always serve me well. I say whatever works , works. Use whatever is treating you right. Regardless of age.
  5. vokey! I used to use mizuno, tried a voke and never went back.
  6. Got an old anser 2 I am knocking everything down with....just wondering what the best headcover would be for this? I can't seem to find any around. Its 80s-90s and sort of beat already so maybe it's not even worth a cover.
  7. thanks bogey hitter... just an fyi, look at this! http://www.callawaygolf.com/Global/e...StaffPros.html
  8. #1 ball is Titleist of course....who is #2? who is #3...etc...for tour play? Im going to say callaway #2 Taylormade #3 What do you think?
  9. The new ones probably aren't very good but the older 90s versions were THE BEST balls I ever played. Nick Price and many other pros have won many tournaments with the older version. The new version is different I think.
  10. 8i--play it way back to deloft it into about a 4, 5 or 6 iron loft. yum.
  11. With your measurements you would actually be a tad flat. Titleist stock is quite upright so if you hook your irons or ground the heel of the club alot you should get them bent flat...
  12. Just play them and you might not need to get them adjusted. The guy who does mine asks me how clubs are and if I say great he doesn't touch them. My pw was 66.5 degrees but I havent bent it back to 65 because i hit it so well.
  13. bingo +1 teeing it up AT ALL will result in contact higher on the face then normal.
  14. Just got it and I am liking it. It's not worth $50 but it is a good tool for starting putts out on line and reading breaks as well. It takes the guess work out of...did I mishit that putt? Did I account for too much break? Anyone else have it?
  15. For me, low loft club but higher launching shafts work best.
  16. yes to all, wintonbury is my current favorite. pete dye designed it for the town of bloomfield,ct for $1.00- new course called oxford greens which i havent played. then there is my old favorite (both of my record lows) lyman orchards in middlefield,ct- designed by gary player. rtj did their other 18 as well but the player course is the standout.
  17. great point buttuh! thanks
  18. I used to think I needed forged wedges before I bought my vokey a few weeks back. I hit 2 flags from 75 yards in the other day, neither of them dropped so I may go back to my mizunos.......NOT!
  19. This is silly, it was an isolated incident. They are still killer balls.
  20. I tried prov1x for the first time yesterday and the feel was great but there was a tiny bit of ballooning compared to my other favorite balls... Not a ton but defineately noticeable. Prov1 is the next ball I will try and I think it will launch a bit lower...
  21. Im thinking of canning my 2iron for a 5 wood for a bit more distance. What is your favorite 5 wood? I am thinking Ping or Titleist??? I like traditional pear shaped heads and straight or slightly open faced.
  22. USED! Great deals to be had for used drivers and putters IMHO
  23. I bought one used wedge and I never would again. Grooves are #1 concern and used wedges usually NEVER have good grooves. To me, new wedges are WELL worth the money spent to buy new.
  24. See signature. Ping drivers and Mizuno fairway woods....best bang for MY buck.
  25. Is it just me or does anyone else here get blisters with the tour velvets but NO blisters with the tour velvet cords? My mizunos have cords and no blisters. My wilsons have velvet regular and I get blisters....weird.
