  1. A string wrapped around a couple of tees will work for your "down the line" alignment aid and then a couple of clubs to check your feet and see if you're square and perpendicular
  2. Just wanted to brag on BagBoy. Their support is the best and their products first rate. My first cart bag (way back when) was a Proline GripLok bag made in Australia I think. BagBoy bought the idea from them for their clip lok bags (I read or heard that some where). I currently have the BagBoy "Griplok" cart bag which must be at least 6 or 7 years old now. It preceeded the cliplok and revolvers. It has the removeable cooler bag that they just put back on the revolver pro and 2 external club tubes. I've been checking out the revolver pro and may just have to give it a try.

    Eagles?

I've had several over the years. Three so far this year, one on a par four (chip in from 40 yards) and the other 2 on par fives (one chip in from the fringe and the other was about a 10 foot putt) Still waiting on my first hole in one
  4. Shot a 39 during league night. Chipped in for par on my second hole. Then came up maybe 10 yards short on 479 yd par 5 in two. After watching my partner chunk 3 in a row from the long and thick fringe I chipped in for eagle! Birdied the 170 yard par 3 following hole. I was 2 under at that point with 4 holes to go. Then gave it all back over the last 4 holes
  5. During league night came up maybe 10 yards short on 479 yd par 5 in two. After watching my partner chunk 3 in a row from the long and thick fringe I chipped in for eagle! Birdied the 170 yard par 3 following hole. Then gave it all back and then some over the last 4 holes
  6. I know I'm biased but Wilson Ci7s are very forgiving and quite resonable. $279 buy it now on EBay 4thru GW
  7. Had a 39 for nine holes in my Thusday night league. Currently an 8 handicap in that league. 2 bogeys and a double but chipped in for birdie on the last hole. Had to give my opponent 5 strokes and lost totals by 1
  8. 280 yard par four with bunker guarding the entire front of the green and trees lining both sides of the fairway. I was approx 40 yards out and chipped in for eagle. This during my league night.
  9. 09 Toyota Venza AWD for me and a 04 Chysler Sebring for the wife
  10. I have a BagBoy griplok cart bag. The clubs are held firmly in place so you don't get the bag chatter. Helps protect your investment
  11. I'm pretty much the same. I used to strickly read the putt from behind but now if I'm not out and there's time I like to see the putt from one side of the line which has helped my distance and ability to read breaks
  12. After I slice one over into the next fairway there always seems to be another group coming down that hole so I simply state to that group that "I thought I'd hit one over here just so i could say Hi and see how you all were doing today" When a guy in my group (league night) keeps hitting them long and down the middle I ask how it is he doesn't get bored with the same ol same old. I like to see all the course I'm getting my moneys worth today
  13. From the Memorial web site: MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT FINAL FIELD ANNOUNCED Dublin, Ohio – May 29, 2009 – At 6:30 p.m. Tournament Officials announced the final playing field for the 2009 Memorial Tournament. 120 players with 10 alternates are listed below including seven out of the top-10 in the world and eight out of the top-10 on the PGA TOUR money list .
  14. I have a UPro and previously had a skycaddie sg4. IMO the UPro beats them all. Upro has a $100 rebate starting today. They're updating their site right now so maybe ... just maybe the voice recognition software will be out soon. Check out all the details here. http://www.uprogps.com/design/?gclid...FQhJagodeQtnTA
  15. Here is what I could find Well worth a full read .... here is a piece of the article http://golf-patents.com/2009/03/29/s...s-devices.aspx Earlier this year Callaway Golf acquired uPlay Technologies and launched the new Callaway uPro website. In the past couple of weeks two uPlay patent applications published giving us the first look at uPlay’s intellectual property. The applications include US Pub. No. 20090075761 titled “Golf GPS Device and System” and US Pub. No. 20090079625 titled “Golf GPS Device with Voice Recognition.” That’s right, voice commands! The application goes on to explain: [0075] Several examples of the use of the voice recognition capability follow. The golf GPS device 10 may be configured to allow a user to enter shot information while using the shot tracking mode using vocal inputs, or to enter scores on each hole. For instance, when entering a club selection for shot tracking, the user simply enters the voice mode and speaks into the device, "seven iron" or "driver", or whatever club is being used. For score keeping, the device 10 can be configured to recognize a player's name vocally input into the device, and then the score for a hole for such player. Thus, a user need only activate the voice recognition, then state the player's name and score in order to input the score for a player (e.g. "John, six;" Jerry, four"). The device 10 determines the name and score from the voice input, and then stores the data. The score data can then be displayed on the display 18. The voice recognition feature may also be used to audibly enter commands, such as switching between Basic Mode and Pro Mode, navigating through the devices menus, changing the settings, or any other command within the devices menus. Voice recognition facilitates the use of more advanced features, such as shot tracking, by reducing the amount of inputs that must be made using the input device. The use of voice recognition can also allow faster, and simpler access to certain commands/functions by bypassing menus that might normally be encountered when accessing such commands/functions. For example, a screen brightness setting might require going to the "Settings" menu, and then a submenu for "Display" settings, and then a selection of a "Screen Brightness" setting. Instead, the device 10 may be configured to recognize a voice command, such as "Screen Brightness" spoken into the device 10, in which case the device 10 will skip directly to the "Screen Brightness" setting. Of course, the device 10 could be configured to directly perform any of the functions of the device 10 using a voice command.
