  1. So the ball will roll forward.. with backspin?? Doesn't sound right. I don't think i have ever seen a putt with backspin. I know you say it's possible but I would have to see it with my own eyes to believe it.
  2. The reason i say that is because if you youtube some of the LPGA golfers who are wearing skirts , you can see their thigh muscles firing off in the downswing, which makes me believe they are pushing off the ground similiar to the way a pitcher pushes off the mound, sending their momentum towards the target. I like watching Michelle Wie swing the club!
  3. I'll look for that thanks!
  4. Thanks guys! I never noticed how much I pushed off of my big toe instead of the whole inside part of my foot. By "posting up on my right side", I meant exactly what you were saying about my swaying of the hips. I have started to pivot and turn my upper body more instead of swaying. What's funny is the drill I used to cure this was the club on the hip trick in front of a mirror at home just like Clueless said above. It sort of felt like my lower body had nothing to do with the back swing when I first started trying it. I will post a new swing vid as soon as I get the chance. I have a question. In the downswing, when your pushing off the inside of your right foot, would you say its similiar to a pitcher pushing off the mound? Because I know as a pitcher, you want to use your whole foot instead of your toes.
  5. Has anybody seen or hit this club? My uncle has one and its the straightest club I have ever hit. I normally can drive the ball up to 260-270 if I swing 100%. I was hitting this club about 230-240 and getting some real good roll too. The sound is def one of a kind, sounds more like the crack of a wooden bat hitting a 90 MPH fastball on the sweet spot. My guess is that it's illegal, but I am not sure. I am curious to see if anybody else has had the same experience using this club?
  6. And if you pay attention to the ball on the last putt they show, you can see how fake the ball is.
  7. I see this commercial all the time and wonder the same exact thing. Is it even possible to put backspin in the ball when putting?
  8. Hello everybody, I have been roaming around and checking out the site for the last week or so. Looks great and is highly informational! Thanks for all the work you guy do behind the scene to make it go. I'm 29 years old, started golfing with my dad around 7 or 8. Never played any kind of organized golf growing up. Played baseball/football in school. I didn't really fall in love with the game until I was about 26. If I knew then what I know now I would of only played golf, but who doesn't say that. In the past 3 years I have been playing 16" softball, along with golf. That's why I usually do really good in the beginning of the golf season, and tend to fall off in the middle and end. This summer, due to other circumstances, I will only be golfing. Trying to get into the low 80's consistently.
  9. My divot repair tool, my dad gave it to me when I was young. He told me "If you ever want to beat me, you should learn to use this." It's the first thing I take out and first thing I put away.
  10. My average driver distance is about 240. But I hit a fade. The first 4 or 5 holes I grip down just to get a feel for it and the nerves of the first few holes. usually hit it about 220 when I grip down. My buddies give me crap when they hit their 3 wood further than I hit my driver on a few holes. Their ball is over in the rough while I am sitting center fairway. You can't be consistent if your constantly hitting from the rough.
  11. My goals for 2012 were to master my sand wedge from 40 and in. Last year I dedicated all of my work to my SW around the green (40 yards and in). Really showed at the end of the year stringing together mid to high 80's through Sept. and Oct. I developed 3 nice shots: Flop Shot - Can get up and down from short (10-15 yards), or bang one over a tree (Max 40 yards) Bump and run with ball way back in my stance 1;2 or 1;3 depending on how far back I put ball Normal pitch with 1;1 fly/roll. This year my goals are: 1. Make it to the Final Four Championship Round in my golf league. 2. Become more consistent with my approach shots. I miss a lot of GIR but not by much. I am always around pin high, just miss left or right. It is due to me flipping the club and not getting my hands in front. Have really been working hard on hands in the off season. 3. I shot consistently 88-91 with an occasional 83-84 and 94-95. I would like to get down to 85 consistently and occasional 80-81 and 89-90.
  12. Tips my playing partners offer to each other. None of us are really good, and 90% of the time they don't even know what they are doing wrong, let alone someone else.
  13. Went to hit some balls a few days ago, didnt have a chance to record my swing but there are a few key differences i have made that saw huge improvements. I really started concentrating on posting up on my right leg. That is my swing thought at the moment. Adding this to my shortened back swing, and gripping down on my irons, I had the most consistent practice to date. I was striking the ball as well as I ever had. Had a nice low penetrating flight and climbed at the end to drop down nice and soft. I play Nike Forged Victory Red irons. I like the feel of knowing where I hit the ball, I had Ping G 10's, Ping i2's, Callaway X20's. But none of those offered as much feel as the forged Nike's. My next range visit I will be working more on posting on my right side, keeping my hands from going to far back, and not cupping my left wrist.
  14. Nice swing! Nice tempo! Tempo is everything!
  15. I started last summer playing Wilson Staff DUO, but I didn't seem to be getting consistent flight, so I switched to the Wilson Staff 50 Elite. After playing a few rounds with these, I hit them so well my golf partner decided he would go out and get the yellow ones. I am not sure what the 50 compression means but there's no doubt this is the ball for me.
  16. The one thing I am having trouble with is casting the club. If you watch the slow mo of my swing you can see that I release club way to early. I have worked on am impact bag, and I really didn't see much progress. Any questions or comments on swing is welcome. Any pointers also welcome and encouraged! Thanks!
  17. This was July 2012. Since I have shortened my back swing by closing my right foot. I live in Chicago so it's hard to get out this time of year, but we hit 48 degrees a few weeks ago and shot an 86. I decided to choke up because the course was really wet and i was sinking into the ground. I hit my irons as solid as I ever have. I am contemplating choking up from now on.
  18. I've been Playing Golf for: 20 years My current handicap index or average score is: 12 My typical ball flight is: Left to Right The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: 15 Yard Flop Videos:
