  1. $375, OBO, CONUS
  2. I have a BRAND NEW, never been swung, set of Taylormade RSi 1 irons. The set is 4-PW and they still have the plastic wrap on the heads and all the bar codes and stickers on the shafts. The shafts are R flex Reax Steel shafts. I won these in a raffle and just don't need them.
  3. 1. Matt Kuchar -11 2. Padraig Harrington -10 3. Tiger Woods -12
  4. look in the fairway after you swing. The 3 wood that hits the most balls there is the most forgiving.
  5. 1. Lee Westwood -3 2. Matt Kuchar -1 3. Jack Fleck +3
  6. 1. Lee Westwood-277 2. Ernie Els-278 3. Tiger Woods-278
  7. 1. Lee Westwood 277 2. Phil Mickelson 279 3. Tiger Woods 280
  8. Look at the back inside quarter of the ball through the whole swing and hit the ball there. It will draw every time, but be happy with the fade. Draws become hooks when timing gets off, and hooks turn in to a different hobby!
  9. I have a set of Titleist 735 irons for sale. They are in pretty good condition and I will email pics upon request. They have Golf Pride mid size grips and Rifle 6.0 flighted shafts. They are great irons but have the typical forged iron wear. I loved these irons, but recently switched to the Mizuno MP 68s and just can not justify these irons laying around in my closet.
  10. 3-PW set of Titleist 735's for sale. These irons have been played with but are in good shape. There is the expected bag chatter, but there is no wear that would harm the playability of these clubs. The 3 iron has the original cord grip, but the other irons have been regripped with golfpride rubber grips. These clubs have Rifle 6.0 shafts. PM me with email address for pictures. Asking $250.00.
  11. 1. Average 31 putts per round or better 2. Average 55% or better fairways hit 3. Average 10 GIR per round. 4. Get my Handicap below 3.
  12. I just played the wilmington island golf course last month. Its an old donald ross design and i thoroughly enjoyed it! It was not very expensive but the course was in great shape and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Its hard to find info nonline about this course, but i recommend it.
  13. They are awesome! My wife bought me a set for christmas last year and I still love them. They are much mor forgiving than you would think and the feel off these clubs is incredible. This was my first set of blades and there has yet to be a round where I wish I was hitting any other irons. For better or worse, you know exactly what the ball is doing as soon as it leaves your clubface. They are definitely worth trying and if you don't like them, you will have no problem selling them!
  14. I only get to play about 4 times a month on average. I farm full time and just dont have much time right now. I have been to the range maybe 4 times this year and the practice green about 4 times too. Looks like its not going to get any better as my wife is pregnant with our first child, which is an excellent reason to have less time to play!
  15. Getting my 52 was one of the best decisions i ever made. Closed a gap between my PW and SW and is a perfect club for chipping.
  16. Congrats!
  17. Guys, I swear I am a 3.8. I know its surprising that this shot is giving me problems, but that is what makes it even more frustrating. I am just not comfortable over that shot on that hole right now. I am gonna try laying back for a few rounds and just see if it helps. Too often, I grab my driver and my ego and let it rip on 1 and its just not working out right now. Believe it or not, a low single digit handicapper struggles with things too. You will see when you get there! I just wanted a little helpful advice and to hear if any one else used this strategy. Golf is a game of gentleman and I assume everyone is telling the truth until proven otherwise, not vice versa. I do appreciate the discussion and the advice, I just resent the fact that my handicap is being called into question. All of you should know by now that this is a game of ups and downs, and right now this shot for me is a down. For those of you that don't believe it, go to GSGA and search Shane Rhodes.
  18. I can't regularly hit my drives 280-290 down the middle, nor do I claim to. But on this hole it happens regularly thanks to it being downhill with a large dropoff at 230 yards. If the ball makes it that far it rolls on down because of the firm conditions. I can hit pretty crisp pitch shots most every where else and that's why I need a change of strategy on this hole as its gotten mental. I am lying about my handicap though, the last revision has me at 3.8, so you busted me there. Sorry about that. I farm and haven't gotten to play much because of harvest season but I hope to work on my short game as it is really hurting my scores here lately. Thanks for the advice.
  19. At my home course the opening hole is 330 yards and the easiest on the course. Here lately though, I cannot par this hole. I always jump on the tee box with my driver and usually wind up in the fairway about 30 to 50 yards out. There are bunkers to the left and right but they rarely come into play and there is no trouble in front. The green is slightly elevated but nothing special. I keep chunking these little shots! I am going to try hitting three wood or three iron off the tee and laying back to a fuller swing. I love my wedges right now from 80 to 120, so I am going to see if I can change my luck by relying on them. Has anyone else tried this on their short par 4's and did it help?
  20. I'm 6'2" with long arms and it takes a long swing for everything to feel loaded. Its not overly long but the club definitely goes a long ways from address back to impact.
  21. Alright, I have been hitting my short irons and wedges really well lately and I think a lot of it has to do with the strong grip I naturally use. It really helps me trap the ball and explode through it on these short clubs where tearing up divots is no big deal. But, when I get to my long irons (3,4,5), I think the strong grip is too risky as it often promotes a hook. I think I am going to try a more neutral grip for my longer clubs. Has anyone ever tried this? What was your experience? Is it just complicating too much to try different grips?
  22. I started playing in a 9 hole two man scramble on tuesday evenings earlier this summer and I really enjoy the competitiveness and have fun playing, but I think it is starting to hurt my stroke play scores. My driving and wedge play have gotten better since I started playing in the scrambles, but my mid irons have gotten less consistent. I was playing some of my best golf earlier this year and now I have backed up a few strokes. The scramble is played from the white tees (6000 yards) and I usually play from the blues (6500 yards). I only get to play a full round on sundays and this scramble is my only other golf all week. Has anyone else ever noticed a change in their stroke play, for better or worses, as the result of playing in a scramble?
  23. Thanks for the advice. Is there anyway to practice without hitting bunker shots? I live 30 minutes from my course and its hard to get there during the week. I only get to play on Sunday afternoons and my practice time at the course is virtually non-existent.
  24. All of a sudden I cannot hit out of greenside bunkers. The bunkers at my home course are pretty firm and the usual splash shots are useless. I used to not mind being in them and had gotten pretty good at sand saves, but now i'm lucky to get out. I know all the proper advice (open the face, open your stance, etc...) but what I want to know is what do you do when your sand game has left you (other than avoiding them like the plague)? What are the swingthoughts you use to get things back on track? I would love to practice bunker shots, but I never have time. Is there a good drill that doesn't involve a bunker?
