  1. One of the best posts I read in this thread. Granted I don't see much of BC but when I do he is normally either praising woods or it was after one of his poor rounds that knocked him out of contention so not much praise to go on there.
  2. I don't use the ten finger I would call it more of a 9.5 finger grip. Originally I started twenty some years ago with the interlock and 12 years ago went away from it for awhile and when trying to go back to it I never felt like I could tell what the club face was doing. After having reconstructive surgery on my right wrist and hand I have stuck with my 9.5 grip. Basically the pinky of my right hand barely rests up on the side of my left index finger. Very slight overlap if you will but it is what works for me.
  3. I keep a deck in my bag and I have been accused of missing greens on purpose. lol However, I swear I do not miss them on purpose. It is a fun game. The last time we played, my buddy, the one who accuses me of cheating actually won. Even though I ended up with 12 cards his hand was better. I think he had 8. It was at a course we play a lot and can read the greens in our sleep. lol
  4. We play three put poker. Everyone antes 1 dollar and everyone gets 1 card. Every three putt is another dollar. Every one putt is another card. Two putts do nothing in the game. Best hand at the end wins the pot.
  5. I have a 52 and a 58 in the bag. Unless I am out far enough to use the full 52, I use the 58 for every shot around the green. I just started doing this this year and the scoring average did go down so I am sticking with it.
  6. When I started playing I didnt have 14 clubs. I had a driver and 3 wood with wood heads. 3,5,7,9,pw,sw, and a putter. Now my bag is heavier with 14 in it . lol
  7. At the time he hit it, even though he was on the brigde he had a straight line to the flag. Commentators said if he dropped it would have put trees in the way.
  8. IIRC the Palmer deal had something to do with the ball plugging by the 12th green or something. But he knew of a local rule there so he played the second ball hence the 2 scores. the comittee went with the local rule and gave him the three instead of the five. Ask Ken Venturi about it, he is still pissed to this day feeling the masters was robbed from him.
  9. Dense, not by any means. Merely using the same logic and lingo as some of the fanboys boys who drool in TW foot steps. And then get asked if I'm dense. Some of you fanboys show as much class as your hero does. You clearly were ment for each other. Admittedly I am no Tiger fan. Saying that I did not see the happenings on the 14th hole nor do I give a big enough crap to try and see a replay. What I did see of him today looked like he has his poop in a group and will be chasing history again. I am no fan of his but I do like to watch amazing golf when its played. I am old enough to be able to watch good golf and not respect the a-hole playing it. Me thinks some of you should give your families the love and attention that you effortlessly donate to Tiger.
  10. Are you implying that a guy who knew the rules good enough to know he could have the gallery move a "loose impedement" for him and yet doesn't know the rules good enough to know how to take a drop after hitting it in the water ? Maybe you are the one who needs to get a life?
  11. I try to have only one swing thought when things go kittywhompis. With any club in my hand while in my stance, I imagine a hoola hop on the same plane as the club shaft. I simply try to swing around the hoola hoop. It helps I try to use more of the one plane approach.
  12. Accidently self imposed this on myself this week at my league. I fotgot my chew at home so I told my playing partner it wasnt his fault if I ripped off his head. I ended up more focused on drinking more beer and shot 4 strokes better than the week before. No one got hurt and no clubs were thrown or broken. lol
  13. I dont need to turn anything around. If you take what I wrote and change the names in it to whom ever you want the same still applies. People have just as much right to love Tiger( or whoever) as others have the right to not love him. But it seems that the people who express their dislike of the man get put out onto hot coals alot more. While I personally do not like Tiger I will acknowledge his accomplishments on the golf course. I can admit he is a great player without particulary liking him. Nor do I come on here or any other forum and berate those who do happen to like them. But now its out there that I don't care for him so flame away and prove me right. I would like to add that not every post on the subject is offensive on either side of the spectrum but some tend to get a little too emotional and I will let you decide which ones those are. Both camps are guilty of this as well.
  14. It cracks me up all over golf forums how it is alright for people to blast BC and call for him being fired and such. But if someone says something against there hero, their idol, the immortal TW then all hell will break loose. Givin a chance to go grab a beer with either BC or TW I would choose BC everyday day of the week and twice on saturday and sunday. While on the golf course TW is a force I do not respect him as a person nor do I give him such hero status as some on here do. While it is your right to have your feelings of him, others should be afforded the same right to feel the opposite without being torn apart. Some can respect the golf and not respect the person.
